  1. The least I expected from a 5-star rated UEFA Stadium was not to be almost crushed to death upon leaving the ground. The policing at the game I was at was simply abysmal.

I also couldn't care for any of the sectarian bile that was flung around me from your average 40 year old bald men who they probably don't even know what they are ranting about.

That is all atmosphere, or so they say.;)

  2. You know when Clarckson said the stig had never done a lap in the reasonably priced car, that was a lie as he has a lap time on the Formula 1 race board, and is top of it.

  3. Andy and Hewitt have won their first round doubles match against Roddick and Ram.

Jamie plays his doubles match tomorrow I think.

Murray and Hewitt combo, whoever is on the end of that pairing, must be thinking it is near enough the quickest double act ever. Genius.

Aslo a great way to get more games on the grass.

  4. Lads we are all being overcritical.

Gonzalez has won 8 out of his 11 tournaments on grass. (best surface), he is the world no. 12, a very good ranking, not too far behing andy.

Murray has never won a clay title, it is his weakest surface.

The stat that says it all is Murrray has played 38 clay court matches, Gonzalez has played 210, far, far, far more experianced on Clay and unfortunatly the better clay court player.

  5. To be honest, I actually think Murray looks out of place on a clay court, easily his worst surface. He doesnt have that big hitting game you are correct, but at times I think it is a good weapon to have, but as you say, they need b games, and I think Murray has about 4 or 5 if it all goes tits up for him.

  6. Yeah, if he gets past Gonzo he'll be up against the Sod who played unbelievable against Davydenko. But I still think playing Soderling is preferable to Nadal for Andy.

Obviously, but surely soderling cant play like he has been for 3 matches ina row, he must be physically drained, the power he puts on the shots.

  7. Also Davydenko put out verdasco, who Murray would have faced in the semi's who has been brilliant at the French this year and wh oalso beat Murray at this years Aussie, before losign a 5 hour 5 setter against Nadal.

If Murray beats Gonzalez - will probably play Davydenko (Soderling will blow it)

And will probably face Federer in the final.

Federer must be delighted, even though he has not played well he must now be favorite for the title, finally he can complate his collection.

But if we goes out Murray would be the highest seed left., he doesnt even like clay and looks akward at times, as it is his least favorite surface.
