The heavy park wasn't ideal for our style of play. However overall the performance was again pleasing to watch.
For once our final touch in front of goals escaped us or it would have been more comfortable than 2-1.
Blantyre to their credit also produced a decent performance without really creating many chances. Scoring from the only hesitancy shown all game from Bauer or Thom..
Thomson correctly named our MoM he gets better every game.

Game is currently on.
Final pitch inspection to be made by match official on arrival.
Currently very heavy rain, so 50/50

Sad news indeed, thoughts with his family and all at Bo'ness Utd.

Just in case anyone forgot, the Rose won 2-1 and the run continues.
One team on the up and another chasing Whitehill for the trapdoor.
Onwards to Blantyre Vics next Saturday.

"Crowds are dropping away week on week"...... True. A number of the regulars appear to have had enough for this season.
So much for in Max we trust.

Quote of the day - 'Rose were Furloughs ahead'.

Only one team wanting to play football today.
Despite the anti football of Camelon, we worked hard and sheer grit produced the result we deserved.
Special mention to Willis Hare, he took a dull one but still played on injured, as we had no subs left. Just highlighted a team there for each other.

Anyone other than St Andrews United on the cards this year?
Edinburgh South, Bo'ness Athletic, and Syngenta seem like a few that might fly under the radar with their small supports. All groundsharing at grounds of other licenced clubs. Syngenta seem to have some of the telltale policy guidance on their website, Bo'ness Athletic have the links set up but nothing there.
Bo'ness Athletic hire the park exactly the same as Bo'ness Utd.
The latter given preference on hire due to higher tier.

5-0 and a missed penalty, Rose magnificent from kick off.
Any question marks (including mine) have gone, we are the real deal.

A huge match today, a massive opportunity to find out how far we have come since August.
Penicuik will also be looking to bounce back after last week, all the ingredients for a cracking afternoon of football.
All roads lead to Prestonfield of Dreams.

Mark Harris we have had twice this season. Was really good against penicuik but had a horror show against jeanfield wear he sent arnie kasa off for handball when it hit him on the chest. He actually called and apologised for it on the Monday. But he did the same thing lost the plot completely
I actually thought he handled the first half very well.
Unfortunately his 2nd half performance was all over the place.
Thankfully his performance didn't impact the result. Tynecastle had a game plan which they carried out very well.
Not the best Linlithgow performance, but their efforts alone gave them the deserved winner.
Must also say the set-up at Tynecastle was first class and a very enjoyable venue to watch a match.

FFS, 1st of January 2022 and Alan's already in meltdown - must be a new record even for him.
Anyway Happy New Year to one and all.

Maybe the player should of celebrated with Linlithgow fans instead of Broxburn fans?
Irrespective of where the celebration took place, there is still no excuse for such a response.
But don't want to dwell upon this incident in what was an excellent night's entertainment.

A great 2nd half performance from the Rose.
The strike from Docherty was worth the admission on its own.
Only low point was the bottle thrown at the Rose players after the Stowe penalty. Thankfully it wasn't a glass one. A head gone moment from a silly laddie.

If you haven't seen already from Facebook, the Broxburn game is all ticket (tickets available from Fanbase) and there will be no refreshments available.
According to Broxburn Facebook page, they will be selling the last remaining tickets before the game.

Regardless if we do or don't win the league.
The one thing for certain our future will be decided on the pitch not a committee room.

When you see goals like that you just have to applaud the boy no matter who you support.
Nothing more than a Dave Narey toe poke....!!!!

Best Team we’ve played this season. Pace and energy going forward frightening at times. We never really tested the backline. No complaints beat by far the better side although a thought our sending off at start of 2nd half was a bit harsh. The players first booking wasnt a foul. 2nd booking right after was a foul and deserved a booking.
Well looked after all day by a class club with nice people. A special mention to the social club guy who thanked the bluebell supporters saying were the only club this season who have brought a crowd into the club. Some stayed there all game to be fair.
Classic, one of your boys came in at half time ordered 7 pints of lager for the group he was drinking with before the game.
Unfortunately his pals didn't mention they were enjoying half time hospitality.....!!!!
Would have loved to see how he ended up at full time

Not sure if a winning streak of this duration has been seen at EOS top level since Kelty and LTHV went at it hammer-n-tongs in 2017-18. Confidence must be coursing through the veins of club and players.
Plus after Musselburgh (4th) on Saturday and Broxburn (6th) night before Hogmanay, the next 7 games are against sides placed 14th, 8th, 16th, 7th, 9th, 18th and 17th from which a considerable points haul could be targeted. The next 2 games are at grounds we haven't traditionally done well at.

Referee was clearly to blame.
-2 -
We played the game at a good tempo throughout and showed a lot of good running off the ball.
It was also good to see that the introduction of our subs had no impact on the performance.
14 on the bounce is good going no matter what league or opposition you play.

Good luck to him, his attitude always seemed spot on.
Unfortunately he didn't fit our style of play and was always a matter of time before he left.
