  1. I'll assess the situation properly in May, but for the first time since I've been old enough to vote, I'm considering to not bother.
  2. I've actually had few issues with them as a customer, but might just leave them in solidarity with you. Only pay 32 quid per month for gas + elec normally, which has probably made me too lazy to consider changing to another provider. I was offered a smart meter in today's call, which reminded me that I got compo off them before because the first time they sent an engineer round years ago to install one, he didn't have a big enough ladder (to check something in the shared stairwell) and then when the second guy turned up a few weeks later he explained it wasn't possible for me to get a smart meter anyway for some reason.
  3. This is Scottish Power you're dealing with, correct? On their "don't wait in the queue, we'll call you back when x and y time" earlier, the first callback I got suspiciously disconnected when still listening to hold music, second time the call was 40 mins later than the end of the timeframe, then I had 5 mins of hold music before I got through. And all I wanted to do was increase my direct debit (which I'd tried to do for a fortnight on my online account)!
  4. Kölsch is superb. When I was a teenager, my neighbours stayed in Köln and came back to Scotland now and then to visit relatives and play golf. The reward for keeping an eye on the empty flat was Früh Kölsch and bars of Milka chocolate.
  5. If we have the supply and the people available to administer, then hopefully we can reach that number. I'm sure some government lackey stated a while back there wasn't a demand for 24/7 vaccinations. Based on my survey sample of about a dozen, the opposite is true.
  6. Since I'm meant to be working at the moment, I won't read the full article right now, but I assume in the accelerated scenario the vaccinations are being administered more swiftly, and the deaths estimate therefore goes down.
  7. The Accelerated Scenario isn't bad at all IMO. Would take that right now.
  8. My grandparents are getting vaccinated tomorrow. Only my grandad got a letter, but when my gran phoned they added her in. They are both 88 so I don't think she is skipping the queue. He has Alzheimer's so she would have to be there with him anyway.
  9. As much as I like the first series, this is incorrect. I'd say the decline in quality started after series 3. Series 7 definitely the worst of the pre-2000s series.
  10. Also, I know of a fair few folk who have got vans to work for Amazon/Hermes/Yodel etc within the last six months as there is/was little prospect of them going back to their normal line of work any time soon.
  11. All of this. That was almost unbelievable by Trump standards
  12. I will assume a driver or neighbour beat me to it, as a polis car turned up just after I posted this. I've witnessed dafties lighting fireworks during daylight hours or in heavy fog when I stayed in Ayrshire, but literally rolling them onto a main road in traffic is a different sort of mental.
  13. Just heard some really loud fireworks. Look outside and some dafties are setting them off at the corner of the street across from me. The guy is letting wee kids chuck (small) fireworks onto the road as cars as passing by. I stay on a main road in Glasgow. The question is, should I philpy them??
  14. My cousin in the Highlands is going from tier 1 to tier 4 in one fell swoop. Very Rangersy that is.
  15. Was at Morrisons there, no queue and didn't seem too busy (apart from the drink aisle). Seemed more like folk doing usual Christmas food shop, or in my case, Christmas drink shop.
  16. I would like to think that the highlands and islands stay within looser restrictions, as I can't think of a legitimate reason to change this. So with that being said, enjoy your inevitable lockdown.
  17. I think the latter was a solid bet before today's events. Now it's a near certainty. At least for the more urban areas.
  18. Young lassie at work (and all her pals) got some mask exemption thing from Boots. There's nothing medically wrong with any of them which would actually make them exempt, they just don't want to wear one.
  19. Generally I've seen much more % wearing face coverings in supermarkets than small shops, but was still surprised tonight that I was the only customer I saw wearing one (two of the takeaway staff were also)
  20. Was out tonight and noticed less adherence to wearing face coverings than previous. Excluding myself, in the off licence there was 1 out of 4 (but said covering was under his chin) In the takeaway, none out of 5. Unsure whether these folk have never bothered or have got tired of it.
  21. I'm on the anti-social committee at my work. It's just me, by myself, having some beers. Would recommend it.
  22. In the video I watched, apart from going into a really manky close, there wasn't much to it apart from him walking about, talking about how dangerous it is, without any evidence of danger. The way some folk are reacting on facebook/twitter, it's as if his video was a revelation. Sturgeon coming in for some criticism as well as its within her constituency.
  23. If this happens, I feel sorry for the minority of folk who are completely adhering to the "rules", as many will have planned for the occasion and would then face having to cancel their plans. All while a lot of people are going to have a "normal" Christmas regardless. I will admit to some degree of hypocrisy here, as I'll be at my mum's (5 people, 3 households) on Christmas Day even if the rules change to prevent that.
