  1. There might be a smile on the Talbot's Chairman's face - but I imagine he'll have more class and keep his feelings about another club to himself.
  2. We'll see next week which competition the public is more prestigious as was your original point.
  3. Everyone's a winner - he wins, we see the last of him (though his club will be back in a few years). He loses, the clubs get to laugh at him for another season. EDIT : I do want Darvel to win and not just to get rid of them. It would be good to see a WoSFL club in the Lowland League. So if it had been Talbot, Pollok, Clydebank, Buffs I'd want them to win as well.
  4. Yoker Athletic (Junior Cup) Rd 1 Coupar Angus (a) 3-0, abandoned HT, 2-0 Rd 2 Girvan (a) 3-2 Rd 3 East Kilbride Thistle (h) 3-1 Rd 4 Ashfield (h) 3-1 Q/Final Dyce (a) 1-0 S/Final Petershill (n) 2-1 Kilwinning Rangers (Killie Pie Cup) Rd 1 Royal Albert (h) 5-0 Rd 2 Greenock (a) 1-0 Rd 3 Glenafton Athletic (a) 4-1 Q/Final Thorniewood United (a) 0-0, 4p3 S/Final BYE I would say that Yoker had it tougher than Kilwinning. Incidentally, I had to go to an external site to find penalty result for Thorniewood game. Compare that to the SJFA site that has teamlines, substitutions, bookings and goalscorers with times for every game.
  5. The same as Cambuslang - withdrawn from the Killie Pie Cup. Kilwinning get a bye into the final.
  6. I would say they've allowed the original result to stand rather than awarding the victory to Glenafton. It doesn't look as though there's going to be any punishment for Blantyre, Cambuslang or Darvel.
  7. So I assume no punishment for Blantyre Victoria? No massive points deduction next season? What about in the Killie Pie Cup - no punishment for Cambuslang and Darvel withdrawing? Or are Darvel going on the logic they won't be here next season so won't be caring?
  8. What other threads? The only time I've seen it mentioned when it is YOU making the claim they have pulled out.
  9. And Renfrew and Port Glasgow. Port Glasgow's season ended on March 5th - having to wait all this time to find out where they'd be playing.
  10. It meant that pathway back to League football was finally open.
  11. Yep - I'm useless at English/grammar. Replace "then" with "in which case" (in my original text).
  12. Until the "R" appears on the Wikipedia page there's still hope.
  13. Did clubs not start putting out twitter posts as soon as they'd been told they were passed - before officially being OK'd at AGM?
  14. I'm sure Benburb will be happy at their potential relegation should this match be awarded to Glenafton and Darvel fail to beat St. Cuthbertsss Wandererers and Tranent.
  15. Unless Blantyre win replayed game 7-0 - then it's Glenafton relegated.
  16. FULL TIME Glenafton Athletic 0 Cumbernauld United 0 This would relegate Glencairn (in theory barring an 7-0 defeat if they replayed the Blantyre game). As it is only "in theory" I think they'd have to replay the Blantyre game as if awarded as a 3-0 this would put Benburb in the "possible relegation" zone waiting on Darvel on Saturday.
  17. It was for their own benefit. That way they don't have to rely on a vote.
  18. Why don't they just enter a team at the lowest tier in the West League (or East League for Hearts) and let them work their way up? Like every other club would have to do.
  19. So you have to buy tickets for this online in advance then? I can't see that having any impact on the size of the crowd. None whatsoever.
  20. It wouldn't be so bad if Glenafton hadn't done EXACTLY what Blantyre wanted to do - except in their case Cumbernauld (?) agreed to the different date but Glenafton refused to budge for any date put forward by Blantyre.
  21. From earlier comments it appears there were several dates/times suggested by Blantyre - Glenafton rejected them ALL.
  22. I'll have to be honest and say the reason I posted it was in the hope of getting that response from you.....to rule Glencairn out the picture.
  23. One club has put in a letter of complaint/protest. I suggested it could be Glenafton and their own letter has now delayed things. Someone suggested yesterday it could have been Glencairn - although my thoughts were how can you put in a letter of complaint for a game you are not playing in (I appreciate the outcome affects them). I doubt it would be Blantyre as they started the game. Don't you just love the internet where you can speculate all day because of lack of information.
  24. I did not think I'd see Largs in the top half of the League given the position a couple of months ago.
