  1. Sacrilege!!! Monopoly is the game kings, a true test of skill and ability
  2. Amount of folk who have no problem with Ayra slitting people's throats, but don't like the fact she fancied an orgasm before dying is ridiculous [emoji23] Like others, don't understand the berating Jaime took for killing the mad king. Particularly when Tyrion explained to Dany in Season 6 that he was going to burn everyone in Kings Landing with Wildfire. Brienne being knighted was a lovely scene, the pride on her face at the end was fantastic. It definitely felt like a bit of padding went on for some characters, which hasn't happened in a long time and probably means a good few are for the off.
  3. Agreed, although I would say that both Jon & Dany are very one-dimensional in terms of range (there really isnt any...). And with them being effectively the 2 main characters in the show it does cause issue's. I can understand them not having any actual chemistry between them but it seems like acting if they have chemistry is just a step too far for them. Sansa came in for a lot of stick over the course of this but her character development has arguably been one of the best in the entire show - in that its easy to see why she would become much colder and calculating (like a more level headed Cersei). Bran, well what exactly do you expect from someone who cant walk and effectively has no emotion since becoming the 3-eyed-raven? Seems like nit-picking in the absolute extreme. I do think that some folk over exaggerate the decline in writing (as the books have so much absolute filler) but it did stand out to me during this episode more than it has done previously.
  4. They do give you a right laugh . There's at least once a day where i'll just get a smile on my face because of him. Or he runs into a glass door (again...) and you end up totally buckled....
  5. These are both great shouts. Can't believe I forgot The Twilight Sad who I've seen numerous times... Including that album played in full at Tuts
  6. Following on from a drunken conversation on Saturday night, what are your Top 10 debut albums? (any order and can be 'classics' or albums you loved growing up etc - mine are a bit of a mix of both) Mine: RATM - RATM Oasis - Definitely Maybe The Killers - Hot Fuss Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm not Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction BRMC - BRMC Secret Machines - Secret Machines Oceansize - Effloresce Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F♯ A♯ ∞ Hell Is for Heroes - The Neon Handshake
  7. BB Kings is just off Int Drive (across from the upside down building - you'll notice it) does great ribs and fantastic live music - would recommend going on a friday/saturday night when the All Star Band is on. Book a table tho, as if you don't there's no guarantee of a table for food.
  8. The aforementioned size difference... He's also developed a fondness for random items of clothing that he finds when out and about. I think he's robbing homeless folk when I'm not looking....
  9. In fairness I'd look better than Dyer at LB. The midfield pairing of Carswell/Forbes would be based upon us obviously signing someone who is actually a competent left back . Our central midfield has been pretty bereft of any genuine creativity since Sam Stanton (and previously Agnew/Turner) and Forbes would at least provide that. He also doesn't have much in the way of pace and eventually a decent opposition manager will have the brainwave of playing someone with pace against him and that becomes an issue as i'm not confident in our central defence being able to cover - of course Duffy himself has admitted it's a stop-gap solution and hopefully a LB is at the top of the agenda come January.
  10. I think everyone can agree's that Aitkens decision to sign both players was a waste of money. The only way both those players can work in the same team is in a 4-2-3-1 and for that to work you need a particularly creative and hardworking midfield 3 and full backs who can oeprate more like wing backs. - we however, do not have this. Hutton's game is based more on anticipation and positioning than charging about tackling- so you may be right What if in injured Kyle Hutton is better than Carswell - as has been the case for a few weeks now? People still get on his back and it's hard not to look at this objectively and think there is a bit of an agenda against the guy tbh. You yourself said to me on Saturday that you'd take a shite Carswell over a good Hutton - thats not an objective comment. In all honesty it's either something against the guy himself or one of the clubs he previously played for - and given you'd mentioned he's only at this level because he played for Rangers it's not a giant leap to assume that's behind it. What Carswell did 2 years ago (2016) when he was playing consistently decent should have no bearing on whether he should play in 2018 - it should be dependent on form and Carswell's form has not been great for a few months (and arguably inconsistent at best for last season as well - whether thats due to him playing alongside Hutton or not is neither here nor at this stage - they've done it for long enough now) Unless Carswell can return to form ,if we are getting rid of one in January or end of the season (while again I think Carswell is the more useful player when playing well) then you keep the player who has been better - I don't really understand the difficulty with that....
  11. I'd suspect the fact that Stuart Carswell's only contribution on Saturday was to pass the ball to the opposition every time he touched it likely has a something to do with it. You can argue that Huttons passing (while decent) isn't particularly incisive or creative (and you would be right in that analysis), but when the alternative is someone who literally gives the ball away - what would you choose? Our ball retention this season has been one of our biggest failings, I'm not sure taking away the one player in central midfield who has actually been keeping the ball is the way to go... I definitely think some of our fans have blind spot for Carswell but every issue with Hutton is pored over and analysed in detail. With that being said I do think when on form Carswell is the more useful player and ideally we should be looking for midfield pairing of Carswell/Forbes perhaps to give us a better balance between defence and attack after Christmas. The problem with that idea is that right now Carswell has not been playing well (has arguably been mixed form wise for over a year now - another point that is somewhat ignored by our fans while Hutton is regularly lambasted) and although I do think Carswell can offer more - at the minute Hutton is playing better (or less worse - depending on how you wish to view it). Your comment about him getting game time as an ex-Rangers player works both ways - particularly when Brad Spencer & Stuart Carswell (who were both rotten on Saturday) escape criticism, presumably because they haven't played for Rangers previously. Its a 2 way street.
  12. My cute wee springer pup is now 5 months old and 16Kg's - he's got fecking huge. It's honestly mind boggling how quick they grow up ^^^About to begin begging for food ^^^Clearly very proud of himself here... ^^^Wee p***ks got a bird, and I'm stoating about picking up his shite.... On the plus side I can now play football with him, even tho he's a hacking were b*****d.
  13. I can confirm that having worked in the same office , it was without a doubt the worst experience of my professional life in terms of staff trying their absolute utmost to avoid doing work, I actually heard "I can't be bothered" as the excuse on more than one occasion which management gave not a fucking jot about - which given the work involved is frankly appalling. Personally speaking I got sick of moaning about it, nothing being done and the resulting effect it was having on my health. So I quit and got a job where i'm not surrounded by shiftless, homophobic, selfish c***s. Should point out in BallaochsonsFan's defense that he was not one of those aforementioned c***s
  14. Recently got a Springer (75% Springer - 25% Collie) pup who is at the same time adorable and fairly obedient yet also a complete wee shite. This is him when I first chose him out of the litter at 10 days. This is him first day I picked him up This is him now - at pretty much bang on 4 months old Thankfully he's very well socialised and is great around other dogs and people. He won't shite in the house anymore either - same can't be said for his pishes....
  15. Get Ayra down to Dragonstone (where presumably dany will move Jaime to), kill Jaime, she then strolls into kings landing with her Jaime mask and kills Cercei - job done. I loved the grace that was shown in Ayra/Brienne training fight - as it's the first time really seeing how dangerous with a sword Ayra really is since she left the many faced God etc Liked the Meera/Bran conversation as well, showing that Bran isn't really Bran anymore - which at least gives some explanation to his overall weirdness
  16. Cinema is a horrible idea, ppv would be the better option if you're going down the pay to see the last few episodes route
  17. This reminds of an old Simpsons episode where Homer finds he's dying and goes through the 5 Kubler-Ross stages I'm currently at stage 5...
  18. I saw that as well. On one hand, part of me thinks he should be judged in the league and keeping us in it. At the moment you could argue we are on track for that - at least by looking at the table anyway. However the table doesn't tell the whole story. We have been consistently poor since the start of the season with one or 2 decent performances that hint at a possible improvement that never arrives. I wasn't at QOTS, but I did see the St. Mirren game and we were incredibly lucky to win that game. Tonight's result was shocking but for me it's the problems we've known about that are most concerning. Our threadbare squad which the manager has assembled cannot cope with injuries/suspensions that a league season will create. We have no clear attacking plan - other than lump it to whatever poor c**t is unfortunate enough to be asked to play up front on his own. With no support. I mentioned on the game thread that tonight it was Aitkens substitutions and tactical changes that ultimately cost us this game - but there's an argument to be made that had he not adjusted the formation so much we may have been able to get to ET/Pens, and against a junior team that's a terrible indictment of where we are right now. I feel a sense of malaise about our games at the moment as its a genuine struggle to get excited about what you will see. We have no creativity and there's a total lack of purpose about our play that it's becoming more and more difficult to justify the price of going. Like others I've almost stopped attending away games this year for the the same reasons - I'm finding it harder and harder to justify the home games at this point. And that's a big problem as undoubtably there will be others in our support feeling the same. I think he has to go. Despite being decently placed in the league and being a PT side blah blah, I just haven't seen anything that suggests we are going to improve under his stewardship. That and I can feel myself caring less and less about going each week and when that happens something has to change.
  19. So, not actually owning this proposed new stadium is a huge deal breaker for me. The fact that it would be owned by Brabco rather than DFC leaves us completely at the mercy of our investors - and no matter how much they proclaim that their current priorities with the club are noble, things change. I would like to see the Trust push that as part of the proposed deal for this new ground that should DFC cease to exist that the ability to have effectively a rent free agreement for the stadium would default to the Sonstrust. As I'm sure if we have a worst case scenario ever we're to happen and we go out of business that the Trust (and its members) would seek to create a new club. However I can't stress enough that not owning the stadium is a major problem. - at least for me. Also noticed that what Brabco are getting out of this was never satisfactorily answered...
  20. Had it downloaded for ages but only recently got round to watching 'Pontypool'. It's a Canadian film and I knew nothing about it going in. Would strongly recommend if you watch it to do the same and not google it. Not that there's loads of twists and turns or anything but it's a complete exercise in tension building and mind fuckery. It's set solely in a small town radio station hosted by a former big city shock jock. About a breaking story that's going on in the local area. The performance of the lead actor (Steven McHattie) is absolutely superb, his tone, facial expressions and body language carry the film in many ways. It's difficult to describe in all honesty and some folk will absolutely detest it, but it puts a very unique spin on a genre that's been done to death recently.
  21. Set pieces for me. Absolutely haemorrhaging goals from them. Having the smallest squad in the league likely isn't helping mind you...
  22. It's definitely much harder (I didn't buy 16 so my previous game was 15). Been sacked as Dumbarton manager for the first time ever. I assume Tactical Knowledge is the main attribute needed for whatever staff member gives you your Tactical Preview (Board wouldn't let me hire a data analyst...), and my staff were all shite in this area. Resulting in me constantly making adjustments to formation and player roles in an attempt to combat other teams. Which meant after 27 games my team had barely 50% familiarity with our default formation. I'm blaming that. And the injuries. Jesus Christ are the injuries bad in this. Had 7 players out at one point with 3 being long term... [emoji35]
  23. Aurora Borealis?! At this time of year?!? In this part of the country!? Localized entirely within your kitchen!?!
  24. Fish called Selma on Sky 1 the noo
  25. After completing my first game unmodded, I've went balls out with mods on my current game. Got somewhere in the region of 50 running atm. Anyway it leads to some excellent settlement building ^This was one of the earlier things I created - hence why the background is clear This is 4 stories and has a Helipad on the roof for those VIP guests I then spent an embarrassing amount of time creating the below...
