Opened up the online programme and was struck by this, in the light of the recent poor performance from the non-playing side. Eight heads representing football. Twenty-three representing management and communications. I wonder if the term ‘busy fools’ has ever been considered.

Must have just about the largest Media team in Scottish football.

I see Quinno is down as Assistant Coach. Is he actually back or is he still not about but still a coach ( or whatever story we got last season).

  2. We had some ridiculously early time slots for the Euros at Hampden. Thankfully they weren't mandatory and folk were allowed to do what they were comfortable with.
There is no need for this for a few hundred people entering a 6,000 seater stand. Let's say you have to work til 6pm then need to get public transport from the southside to the other side of the city. So I'll assume it won't be happening til I hear from Queen's and I will also assume it's not feasible for it to be mandatory

Surely they wouldn’t impose time slots on us at such late notice.
Aye ok - will expect e-mail tomorrow at some time.
  3. What an appalling way to run a business. Due to their incompetence we have to phone them! No way. You just couldn't make it up. I have supplied my e-mail address to them on several occasions and yet, nothing.

I know for a fact that there are others who have supplied their e-mail address and didn’t get this or other e-mails. Total shambles.
  4. Some cheek! I receive some emails and not others. I've corresponded with the Secretary before about this issue and emailed again after not getting the recent Members communication. No response of course. Do they need a mail merge lesson? Dempster should focus her attention on working Outlook before trying to win the Premiership. Embarrassing.

The issue with e-mails has being going on for years. How hard is it to have one list with all the known e-mail addresses on it?

  5. “Supporters we have email details for will receive a link this week which will enable them to click and buy / print. Supporters who have not supplied the club with a valid email address will receive mailshot with appropriate contact”

Looking forward to receiving link today.

  6. Other documents below these were date stamped by Companies House and processed in a few days, during the pandemic. It took the club 9 months to submit very basic notifications electronically. It’s just another indicator that either incredible levels of incompetence are the norm or key information is being withheld ad absurdum.

I may be naive but I would never underestimate the club’s incredible levels of incompetence.
  7. Am I right in saying that members and season ticket holders have had an email telling them what is happening re this season and season tickets and what is happening about entry to the cup games coming up …..do we think the club is going to tell the fans who pay at the gate each week this information via their website..I would like to think they would.

    Dear Member,

As we head towards kick-off in League 1 after our promotion-winning campaign, I hope you are as excited as I am by the team being put together by Head Coach Laurie Ellis. It is great to see talented young players of great potential taking the decision to remain with us or to join our ranks. I am looking forward to the challenges we face in the season ahead.

The longer-term ambitions for our Club have been rolled out in recent weeks – our aim is to create an innovative, exciting new model for a football club that will deliver sustained success in the years to come and our goal is to be a successful source of pride to our members and supporters both on and off the pitch.

The move to professionalism, coupled with our desire to see patient investment in the future of our club, requires us to consistently examine how we operate. The vast majority of Members fully understand the privileged position we hold and are keen to do all they can to help the Club with its growth ambitions. With that in mind I am pleased to say that we have taken the decision to simplify and streamline our Membership offering.

Firstly, an apology from everyone at the club. It is our plan to move our ticketing offering predominately online. Due to the uncertainty around stadium capacity for the early round matches in July, we have been prevented from finalising this as quickly as we planned. We know there has been a sense of frustration at the lack of information – we had hoped to have this completed sooner but the restrictions have made it very difficult.

We will be using the Jackie Husband Stand at Firhill, the information we have at the moment suggests a maximum capacity in July of 350-400 with the figure moving well beyond that as restrictions ease in August. That being the case, we are initially restricting purchase of tickets to current members and current season ticket holders.

Supporters we have email details for will receive a link this week which will enable them to click and buy / print. Supporters who have not supplied the club with a valid email address will receive mailshot with appropriate contact details.

All tickets must be purchased in advance, if you purchase online you will be required to print your own ticket.

This season the Ordinary Membership subscription will be £300 – an increase of £45 – this will include entry to all home league and cup ties in the best seats available. Members will also benefit from discounted hospitality when and if government guidelines allow. Unfortunately, free half-time refreshments will not be available and the previously offered Millennium upgrade is no longer available. Associate memberships will also no longer be available. Overseas Membership will be £300 and offer TV subscription to all home league and cup games. Life Membership will continue as before.

We are in the process of developing the Club into something that will be exciting, innovative and rooted in the communities it serves. As we all share the desire to do our best for Queen’s Park, I very much hope you will continue to support us make the progress we all want and I look forward to seeing you at the games in the weeks ahead.

    Yours sincerely

    David Hunter, President

Just in case anyone forgot…we almost went out of business the last time QPFC Committee took responsibility for refurbishing our stadium. Asking supporters to put their hard-earned into QP’s bank account without knowing the financial status of the company is both complacent and disrespectful. Many seem to be viewing the lack of communications as just poor skills or understanding by the club caretakers. What if it’s more than that? Why are they hiding from us?

Just got e-mail. Increase of £45 for membership. With no justification I can see.

Any word on where he's heading?

He's been one of my favourite players in the lower leagues for years and I'd love to have seen him at the Rock at some point. Not sure if League One would be a stretch for him now at 30 though?

No idea but I think he will want part-time as he has other committments. Will want more regular games as well.
