Sorry, just realised that a couple of lines from my initial post on this seem to have disappeared into a void making it pretty incoherent.

Have we ever gained anything having a series of trialists show up for pre season every year before disappearing into obscurity/ They usually appear at Garscube for a couple of days, we speculate on who they are, and then they disappear again.

Thinking back over the years, establish themselves? I don't include McDonald, Cardle etc. who were established players who trained with us for a while before signing. Way back I can think of Juan Ramon Escalas.

That's the name that sprung to mind when I was typing my earlier post.

One good thing about this pre-season, (so far), is the lack of speculation about bringing back guys like Conrad Balatoni etc.

He grew on me, I used to think that he was a moaning faced, diving wee nyaff who would never give the ref a minutes peace and contributed little other than goals. When he came to us, I was really impressed by his work rate, support and encouragement for the rest of the team. He still moaned like f*@k , but in a constructive way. Probably one of the major reasons we finished as high as we did.

Funnily enough I looked at the updated "first team" on the Club site at lunchtime and noted his absence. I quite liked Blair but not a major loss to the squad in my opinion.

The percentage of Clubs with artificial pitches in the Group is concerning, OK we train on them but, I rarely enjoy watching competitive games on them.

Ade Azeez came on for Newport in extra time in the play-offs. He has dreads now but his uncanny ability to be in the wrong place every time, coupled with his complete lack of footballing ability, made him instantly recognisable.

I think he means more as to why did he need an operation and his leg is in a protective boot Used a really heavy pen to sign the contract then dropped it on his foot?

Couldn't attend last night but feed back seems to be fairly positive. Lets hope that the early signings of two players who seem to have been targeted indicate that there is a plan for the new season. I know that the interviews given by players are never likely to be negative, but Ryan and Shea both came across as enthusiastic on Jagzone. The two year deals seem to indicate a bit of forward thinking by the Club.

Are Azeez came on as a sub for Newport County this evening and was later subbed. Apparently there were fears expressed over his penalty taking ability.

Good luck to Scott McDonald on his move back to Australia. I have no doubt that had he not signed for us we would at best have made the play offs or would have finished bottom instead of Falkirk.

Kris seems to be a pretty level headed guy, with his additional coaching role at Firhill, I cannot see him prioritising a move elsewhere rather than remain with us to progress with his badges. This would obviously depend on what the Club want to do. With his testimonial arranged, I think it unlikely that they would not offer a deal. What these terms would be though may not make these choices easy for Kris. Did he already take a pay cut last year?
