  1. Years from now we will look at the table and think "pish season", without realising just how absolutely buttock clenchingly bad most of it actually was.
  2. You call it time wasting. We call it the highlight of last season. It is known as game management now. Time-wasting is such a tawdry term.
  3. Hope that the SFA don't try to lure Caldwell away now that they have jottered the Ginger Genius!
  4. Difficult to judge the pace of Harkins, I have not even seem him attempt to run since his return.
  5. Or Uncle Roy bankroll an entire team of free agents...……….. again.
  6. Penalties please. Sudden death to go on till 3 o'clock on Friday morning. Plus mass brawl/kicking match at the end.
  7. Extra time at Inverness in the cup replay. Got to help for Saturday.
  8. Falkirk to win 3-0 by illegally playing half of the Morton squad. Later be to deducted 10 points for having previous form in this type of activity.
  9. He is not the most prolific of goal scorers, although that may be due to a lack of descent supply.
  10. Any speculation on who the possible additional players coming in are? The thought of the "experienced striker" being bald and fond of pizza gives me the fear.
  11. I hope that Hibs don't move for Caldwell now he has turned the corner.
  12. It will be sold off and renamed as "The The Royalty" (if Bomber sees the deeds). Regulars will then claim that it is exactly the same pub with an unbroken tradition.
  13. Cameo last few minutes today. I was a bit worried when he was warming up at half time but it turned out that he was just wearing about four extra layers under his training top. Hard to judge if he is fit or if Caldwell just put him on the bench to get some of the fans off his back. It may be the latter as he started Fitzpatrick today (another thing that the fans were clamouring for).
  14. He is awaiting release from his current club (contract dispute). Not played for 8 months but estimated to be fit in 6 weeks once his signature is secured.
  15. They did finish second in 2012-13, although their bottle seemed to crash towards the end of the season.
  16. I agree, everyone has their own view on individual players and their contribution to the Club. Doolan has been rewarded by a coaching position, the first choice "striker" position has been his largely due to the lack of competent competition. Erskine has always struck me as being more vocal than Doolan and no doubt would no doubt let his views be known within the Club. This may not go down too well with the management team. Every player has a shelf life, we have to accept that things change. The only hope is that the current changes are for the better. It would be nice to have the luxury of keeping guys on for sentimental reasons and the occasional "cameo performance", but things have to change pretty quickly. I do not know how the new signings will do, but no one can be happy with the last eighteen months. Lets hope for improvement.
  17. We were extremely poor in the first half yesterday, Keown looked as if he had never played football before in his life Young Andy McCarthy looked out of his depth. Morton's first goal came from a punt up the park from their keeper, we were completely disorganised. We were a bit better in the second half and the goal was excellent, their second goal came from a misplaced cross that landed at the edge of their 18 yd box, we had opportunities to close down/pull down their guy on the way through. Most of the guys that we had on the pitch are capable of much better, how many times over the years have we watched opposition teams of much less ability grind out results? Just now we do not have a clue how to even hold out for a draw. I am fed up with the hard luck stories, we could have had a penalty, the offside goal would have stood if Doolan did not touch it and so on. We are not organised and only a few of the team seem capable of putting in a full ninety minutes. Only the manager can change that, so far he seems incapable of doing this Our only target now is survival, I do not care who we bring in. We have to accept that unless things change radically over the next few weeks that a second relegation is the likely result. Over the years I have watched many poor players at Firhill, but rarely have I watched such a regular disorganised shambles.
  18. Or the Rugby, I think that Colts and the SRU contributed to the pitch. I have a few friends that supported Clyde but they have now chucked it and watch Cumbernauld United who apparently are of a much higher standard.
  19. I believe that they are a feeder team for Cumbernauld Colts who are the prime tenants at Broadwood now.
