2-0 Devils now at end of 2nd with a Bergfors pp goal. Two goals in two games for Bergfors. Team playing a solid game. Hope Pandolfo comes out for the 3rd after an injury. Game ain't won yet as 'we' were 2 up v Rangers then 2-2 before winning 4-2. Pens came back from 0-2 to win their last game.

Devils have found their feet a bit now this season. Good win at Rangers and now its Pens. Very low key start then just as commentators mention that Devils haven't had a shot more than 10 minutes in they score! Annoyingly my feed (ESPN360) cut out as they were behind the Pens net and causing problems. Back on and it was 1-0. Heard it 'live' on WFAN radio though as it's always a bit behind. Sounds like bad keeping and a shot sneaked through. Devils getting back to being about defence again under Lemaire but with some decent counters and scrapping down low. Brodeur has made some good saves though. Hope Pens don't find their energy as the game goes on. 1-0 at the first interval.

Devils on a streak now. 2 home defeats followed by three away wins with two of them in shoot-outs. Wee bit of character to force OT in those games. Looking a bit better but opposition no great shakes in those three. Chicago 5-4 up on Calgary in the 2nd. No defenders? Talking of no defenders, the Leafs blown away again. 7-2

Watched a re-run of the Devils game after turning my back on the live game the other night! 2-3 down and equalised with 0.3 of a second left at Tampa Bay. Went to review it was that close. Won in the shoot-out so avoided the 3 defeats in a row. Their guy Malone (#12) likes hitting the keepers! Even shoved Devils Langenbrunner into his own gk as he skated in with a scoring chance. Almost took his head off and lucky not to have a serious neck injury. His mask came off in the impact and he had a cut to his face. One of those sudden quiet moments around the stands but he was fine to play on after a few minutes.

Well I reckon the Devils will match the Canucks record shortly. Can't believe I watched to the end despite a 3-2 defeat to Rangers. I think I was more awake than some of the players out there. Not looking good i defence or goal. PP is awful. Already missing the experienced guys that left. Some moronic penalties given away too. The good old hockey game eh. Only 80 games left to fix it.

Devils started the way they finished last season which is not encouraging. Marty had a stinker and let in at least 3 poor goals in the 5-2 defeat to Flyers. The new big guy Peters looks like he's drugged and managed to get a double penalty when we were chasing the game at the end. Idiot. Bergfors might be decent. Time is needed to let all the new players settle in I suppose. Only 81 games left to recover. Rangers on Monday and they won 5-2 and looked decent in the pieces I saw. Hopefully we follow Boston's example of making up for a bad start.

atdhe.net are listing the games just now. Not sure if they'll work but they did work for pre-season so maybe... Last season I used that and checked the forums at hfboards.com (Team>GDT threads usually) before finally sharing the cost of a login at espn360.com for a few months.

Zanetti's sig actually came true. Couple of close calls at the end with one off the bar and then the last second save for added drama. Pens looked like no hopers way back but the turnaround was impressive. Good that Red Wings don't get it all their own way but different finalists next year please.

2-0 Penguins so far. Will they keep their nerve for the remaining period and a half? Detroit have lost a bit of impetus now but are sure to hit back at some point. Penguins game plan looks good at the moment though.

Really wanted to watch that last night in case it was won. I only made it to the end of the 1st before common sense kicked in. Pleased it went to game 7 for selfish reasons then. Should be a tense and exciting game if Penguins keep the head.

Game 5 - Watched 1st period but missed the 2nd. From 1-0 to 5-0 Red Wings! Too many penalties for Pens. No point watching the 3rd. Onto game 6 now.

Penguins squeezing through. Early night for me now at 5-0 and still in the 2nd period. A whole season destroyed in a game 7.

Stunned. Another late defeat that didn't seem to be on. Credit 'Canes for pushing at 2-3 down with just over a minute to go but Brodeur let in a couple of bad ones tonight. Time for the sig to go.

This is getting tough. Not the hockey. Staying up to watch it with work the next day! 3.37am when the Devils scored the OT winner to go 2-1 up in the series. Need to stop this. Hopefully they can get a couple of wins without the OT now. Can't really see either side going much further though. Devils powerplay is awful and 'Canes take too many penalties! A better side will demolish them if they get through. Anyone else using ESPN360? Since Saturday they've not listed the current days' matches for viewing, only the following days. Oh well, the 'Canes turned up for game 2. Decent performance but no killer touch this time. Turned off the PC at end of 3rd and listened to OT on WFAN channel on internet radio. One way traffic towards Brodeur before 'Canes finished the job in under 3 minutes. Very even game but powerplay is still bad. 1 goal from 6 I think. Langenbrunner injured in 2nd period and didn't come back. That messed things up and no word on when/if he'll be back! Not good. Also watched Pens/Flyers in between and that looked good again. High tempo and plenty going on.

Been watching the Devils and some of the Caps game due to 30 minute gap between face-off times. Good stuff. 18 seconds for Rangers to take a penalty. Carolina lasted a whole 37 seconds (too many men) Missed the Devils 2nd goal while Rangers were going 3-1 up at Washington with 2 quick goals but Caps pulled it back to 2-3 just before the 2nd finished. Impressed with Devils so far compared to their fairly miserable showing before the play-offs. Moving faster, shooting quicker, fore-checking well. Early days but really thought 'Canes would take Devils right from the off. Ward is keeping them in it tonight. Woah belter, 3-0 Elias. Whole game looks like a Devils powerplay!

You get full screen near TV quality. Exact same high quality feeds that Atdhe.net were streaming for while. You can currently watch full matches going back to mid February in the archive. Back to a time when the Devils were winning. If you get one or two people to share the cost (and a login) then it's worth it. If you launch the player you might have access to their highlights anyway if that's all you need. Anyway, as prediceted the Devils are conceding easy goals v Pens (1-3). Devils should have scored a couple more I suppose but game over after 1st as far as I'm concerned. Can't see them beating anyone in the first round of the play-offs either. The light relief from all things Clyde is rapidly going downhill as well!

Lad at work signed up to ESPN360 a few weeks ago. He gave me his login details and it worked so we split the £12 monthly cost! Sadly the Devils have been awful lately. Last season all over again as we head for the play-offs. Needs sorted NOW! Penguins are next up to show us how to play before smashing a pile of goals in.

Oops. Penguins just lost to Islanders now after a shoot-out. Crosby & Malkin both messed up in that. Thought Islanders played reasonably well while Penguins didn't get much reaction from the change of coach.

A very high scoring weekend. Two great results for Devils to beat Bruins and Sharks both by a goal. Very hard earned wins with tense finishes. Ridiculous number of soft penalties yesterday v Sharks. Cost both sides goals. Watched Rangers getting slaughtered again before the Devils match. They really are rank rotten. Didn't think anyone would be sacked before Renney!

Clemmenson gets a shout-out as Devils beat Bruins 1-0. Great result and looking good for the division title now. Don't think Thomas in goal for Bruins will be too happy about the cheap goal. Two tough defences tonight. Sharks next and they're in another hard game just now but have come back from 4-1 down to tie at Buffalo.
