  1. I was surprised how many they brought up yesterday, certainly more than DL suggests. I'd say at least double. Most were easy to spot with their Darvel jackets and blue hats There were also many more people from Barrhead there who don't normally go along to Dunterlie, obviously interested after Monday night's result. Hopefully some of them will come back to watch Arthurlie more often.
  2. I don't think the Darvel players had any problem motivating themselves for yesterday' game, they were in control of the game until Arthurlie scored their first goal. After that Arthurlie got a massive lift and put Darvel on the back foot for 10-15 minutes when they scored another twice. After that Darvel tried very hard to get an equaliser and Arthurlie defended their lead with the same determination that Darvel defended their lead last Monday night.
  3. The game changed in 20 seconds with the 1 on 1 miss then Arthurlie scoring and Darvel lost the game IMO as the left back left Simeon far too much space, which he exploited. Great result for Arthurlie.
  4. Cheers, that's a great photo. I see what I presume is the old St James railway station buildings. I played football near there in the 70s several times and have no recollection at all of these flats.
  5. Well done Darvel, thoroughly deserved after that performance tonight. Party wildly all week and hopefully you'll not turn up against Arthurlie on Saturday.
  6. Her, Willie Miller and Gall at half time along with McFadden on the commentary - BBC Scotland at its best
  7. St Yip, but currently they are level 6 so on paper they are at a lower level than Brora were against Hearts. Either way Aberdeen have been shocking so far.
  8. Yes - Brora are at a higher level than Darvel are at present
  9. Can't stand the old duffer but Willie Miller summed it up perfectly from an Aberdeen perspective.
  10. Was just going to post the same. Saw him at Rugby Park 3 weeks ago when he was dreadful there as well
  11. That top photo is a great photo. I've lived next to Paisley since 1961 and don't remember these flats at all - I only remember the ones that are in the bottom picture. When were they knocked down?
  12. If anyone is going and is over 60 the travel tickets are half price. The transport system is so well run and easily affordable. Roughly under £5 for a 24 hour ticket and under £2.50 if you are over 60.
  13. You didn't need VAR to see it was a penalty, that alone is on Collum. VAR should have come to his rescue but how a 'supposed top referee" cannot see that is a penalty is beyond me. He was staring right at it. TBH it's what we have just come to accept in Scottish football as it panders to 2 teams, hence why I stopped going to Ibrox and Parkhead for years. Postecoglu has just turned out like every previous bitter Celtic manager - great when winning, but moans repeatedly when things go against him. I honestly thought he was better than people like O'Neil, Rodgers & co, but sadly not.
  14. Exactly - the vast majority are a poison on Scotland and Scottish football.
  15. Of course you would have accepted that logic if the roles had been reversed. It was a stone wall penalty and Collum shat it because he didn't want the abuse/criticism from Ange and co. for giving a penalty so late in the game against Celtic. Th better team won in the end but that should not have been at the expense of honest refereeing.
  16. Don't believe 5 is Rugby Park - our ground was oval shaped originally. I actually haven't a clue where it is. I wondered whether 8 was Firhill, but then saw number 2 was Firhill.
  17. That's very handy, as i'm off there on Sunday afternoon for 4 nights.
  18. We hired bikes and cycled across the bridge and on into Sausolito, stayed there for a few hours then got the ferry back to SF. We also went to the baseball one night as well, which was enjoyable. HK Blues covers the best things to do n his post yesterday..
  19. I never had any intention of going as I don't support either team and certainly wouldn't pay £22 to see a team i don't support. £15, which I think would be sufficient, is what I would have priced it at.
  20. Is that why I didn't see you on Sunday? Agree with you 100%. I'm paying just £6 more for a cup semi final at Hampden next week, in what will be another 1 sided tie and probably a scudding for us. I didn't even pay £22 for any Championship game last season and these teams were of a far higher standard than Darvel.
  21. £22 is criminal for what is essentially a 6th tier side. Hope it backfires on the Pieman and there are loads of tickets not sold. Pure greed
