I was always an advocate like u and the other boys who left for giving sponsors a free day out during the season and he said don’t use that word free when talking to them , just seen an advert for player sponsorship and it’s free this and free that , how times change

It will be interesting to see where young Robbie ends up as I thought he was definately a player for the future. H was flung into midfield too often which left him looking like a fish out of water. However when playing at the back in his natural position he was a different animal. Talbot's best two performances last season were against the Accies and at Clydebank and the boy was immense. I won't be surprised if he comes back to haunt us.

Good to see the circus back amongst us. Wee pieheed seething because the Talbot got more coverage winning the Junior Cup than the mercenaries got for buying the league. I liked the slippy excuse that they needed more games after being hunted out the Pie Cup for not playing more games.

I would have given it another season lads. It means that on your club history your last involvement with the Junior Cup was being flung out it.

Having been to both cups, the south and junior are in completely different levels. The junior cup is like festival, a big event, has been for over a hundred years. In my own opinion, they should just sit down with each other and thrash something out to work together on one cup. One side has for example a great established cup and the other has more member clubs. Plus many other positives on each side.
Could potentially have the best non league cup comp in Europe.

With some of the big East teams missing it is always going to be devalued, but on the day itself it was one for the kids as well as us old codgers who are there every week. We are going to lose this magnificent old trophy in the near future, but there can't be a person reading this who doesn't have a special memory in the SJC.

The thing is nobody in Auchinleck will be giving a flying f**k what other peoples thoughts are about the Junior cup. It was a great day for families and weans. We were told the the SCS was the big trophy now so what do we do? we win it. The league, well let other teams spunk a fortune on trying to win their way into a Legoland league, if we can progress into it and can do it within our financial means then so be it, but next season we are going to see much more money getting flung about, and if you fall into that trap then you are doomed.

For excitement it was the league comeback at Cumnock, for the best performance the 2-0 win against Clydebank.

We need them for entertainment value. The re-joining of the SJFA to play more games because they are out of the association trophy for refusing to play games is comedy gold.
