Talbot will be chuffed another season being the big fish in the small pond and winning another oh so valuable Junior Cup
Chance also of winning the Big Pond Cup.

Wednesday nights game was Talbot's 53rd and they looked like a side who had played 53 games. Hopefully after Saturday the players get a well earned rest and the squad is a bit fresher for two big games ahead.

I'm sure it is in the South region.

I think you better look into your local history before you mention poaching.

Talbot have released photographs of the John Holroyd Wall which salutes all the work John did for the Beechwood Regeneration Committee. The big man who started this thread raised over £20,000 which was spent on various projects at our ground. His wheeling and dealing from his wee shop at the ground brought in money which went mostly on the lights and medical room expenses. The wall is made up of tiles that the supporters paid for to get their name on the memorial with all the money going to future projects. A great man and good friend, he's sadly missed.

Thought Samson had a good game even though playing wide. He tracked back when asked and covered some distances. Was unlucky not to score which I think he hesitated due to be possibly called offside, but saying that it was a good save from the keeper.

Looks like we will be in a battle on Saturday as my research shows that Sauchie look like being a decent side. They beat Fraserburgh in the Scottish and have Troon, Linlithgow and East Kilbride's scalp in the Challenge Cup.

Canny beat a Talbot set-to on a Darvel thread.

Think we are at cross purposes here.
I was talking about the Benburb goal, when the ball went in, the linesman put his flag up.
Then linesman walked onto the pitch to chat with the referee about the ball off the Bens players hand and the referee said he saw it but no way could the player do anything when its kneed off hsi hand with the Talbot players knee beside the Bens players body.
Don't know when the penalty shout was, was it second half ? as I was down at the Clubhouse endIt will be interesting to see highlights of the lead up to the Bens first goal as I thought the big No5 deliberately handballed the ball in the centre of the pitch. It's maybe this handball that is question or maybe I'm mistaken.

I find it strange that all the ex-seniors who left the SFL to play for Mick, the badge and the £5 expences might find themselves back where they came from.

I'm dissapointed in the demise of Andy25, but heres hoping he returns because although I didn't agree with a lot of his posts, he did bring up some points that in an ideal world would be worth talking about. Unfortunately he fell foul of the toe the company line brigade and he removed himself. I find it sad that if you have an opinion on this thread that doesn't fall into line with certain others then the wringing of hands start and low and behold your a non-supporter. I no doubt believe Andy is an avid dyed in the wool Talbot fan who makes it to games a lot more than others so can anybody tell me why is he not entitled to his opinion?

Poorest Talbot team in years I have told yous this. Defensively they are so poor. Kick and rush to strikers and expect to win games from them. They are dreadful to watch. The 2 centre half’s are never by getting praise can someone tell me why all they do is kick it the way they are facing
People will be able to make their own mind up when they watch us on TV on the 5th of June in the final of the Scottish Junior Cup (again)

Talbot have an easier run in than Darvel though but I think the game with the Bens on Saturday is a dodgy one for Talbot
Wouldn't say that m8, Glenafton would be more than happy to rain on our parade. Darvel played their hardest game tonight.

With the start darvel We’re off to in the league I would say they have done well to get to where they have, how does flinging all the money at something mean they will automatically win, if you pay 300k for a racehorse doesn’t mean the one that’s 10k won’t beat you !
let the guys have a bit of fun with there money Theyv worked hard to get itAs a matter of interest is it Kilwinning you seemingly h8, as I find it rather strange that an OF arsecheek would be interested in lower league football, unless its an arsecheek that lacks the bus fare to the east end.

I'm answering your question with an answer which happens to be in question form.
So if it was politely put it would be the referee has the right to administer punishment even though the incident took place after an infringment seconds earlier. That's all I needed to know.

Darvel missed an absolute sitter in the second half though he did look well offside. Lieshman was by far the busier keeper and the Darvel goalie main job was to run out and intercept balls fired from the Talbot half. Darvel are by far a better footballing team with the more skilful players who have played regular at a higher level. Whoever laid Darvel’s pitch is to blame for them not winning the league. Without the fixture pile up I believe they would be at least 6 points better off. The pieman also pumps a substantial amount into your team I am sure he could divert it to Darvel at some point and would probably be a lot more than he is ploughing in now
I think you will find Darvel lost to Cumnock, Hurlford, Buffs and Pollok as well as drawing with Clydebank and Meadow between the 4th August and 11 September I don't see where your pitch scenario comes into play.

Why would being flagged for offside prevent you from being given a card for cheating? So your answering my question with a question?

Can anybody explain how the referee booked Bryan Boylan for simulation when he had already been flagged offside?
