The West should now be significantly stronger depth wise than the East, given that Kelty, Bonnyrigg, Bo'ness and Tranent have already shown the level of foresight and commitment to progress to the LL or beyond. The best of the rest from the East currently lies with Linlithgow Rose, Penicuik Athletic and Jeanfield Swifts. Linlithgow beat LL side Gala Fairydean Rovers in an East Cup Final earlier today, so the ability to compete at LL level is already there.
It's now up to the West clubs to show the same desire and ability to make similar steps up the pyramid. If they fail to do so, it won't be the East's fault.
Darvel will be back next season once Kennedy and Gall hoover up the talent with their open chequebook mentality. The only thing Gall got out of Saturday's result is it gives him another season thinking Talbot and Darvel are rivals.

Talbot repeatedly losing the playoffs deliberately will be the scenario that Clydebank & co dread right now but who is to say what the next 5 years hold now that clubs like that have the SPFL in their sights? Might be easier for them to get new sponsors on board and draw larger crowds again now that Scottish Cup runs are happening and the glass ceiling has been at least partially removed.
Talbot arguably dominated the west region in recent times mainly because their wee town still got excited about winning that plus the SJC in a way people from communities in and around Glasgow no longer did. The dynamic could be different now and the notion that Talbot wouldn't go for it could easily just be based on paranoia anyway.
Whit a load of shit. If Talbot started flinging games then it would be my cue to do one. We just couldn't keep up the pace as we were fighting on all fronts and poor draws cost us the league. As Henry said on TV "Were in it to win it". As for the SJC the Juniors were our home for 100+ years its an honour to take part in the final.

Hurry up and win a playoff then.
Steady on it's our first season in the WOSL and we have to contend with the Gall and Kennedy Bankrolled Circus again.

I think it will be getting harder and harder for EK to go up. Over the next few seasons the LL will have Linlithgow, Pollok, Clydebank, maybe even Talbot will decide it's a better place and try for a place.

We had more at our league games lately than use did in final.
Mon the papersSo did we. Granted it was a good turn out when we spanked you all over Yoker's ground and showed you that you will never be contenders for the LL.

Whether it be 899 or not the fact of the matter is this competition is supposed to be the biggest trophy in non-league football south of Perth. It had probably two of the biggest clubs from the West and the East playing in front of a pretty meagre crowd, so the competition has not caught the imagination of the supporters. Next week in Auchinleck and surrounding villages it will be a different day altogether, and this is where the South committee need to get of their arses to promote the competition.

Massive game for Darvel verus Tranent and all of the Wosfl.
A Darvel win will define the Wosfl for decades to come.
Got to agree, the WOSL will rejoice when the circus leaves the town.

I think although this was the 14-15th cup final I think the association got caught out on this ocassion. Falkirk was a decent venue, plenty of leg room a decent view, a match programme and the parking a short walk to what is a modern stadium. The fact that there was no ball boys had a surreal effect on the game with players raking around the stands for the balls or having to vault the hoardings and trek through waste ground to retrieve the match ball did ruin the spectacle a bit.
I can't fault the association members for putting their all into the venture as I spotted the lad Bamford selling programmes at the beginning of the game and them getting involved in the presentation.
I think us Junior orientated fans are resigned to the fact that the Junior Cup will end this season and todays competition will be the big trophy for our non-league status unless a national competition is formed.
I have been tail pulling a bit with the Junior comments because I have enjoyed this season and I'm looking forward to next season. I also think our WOSL blazers as they are called have done a decent job considering a 20 team top division.
There were boxes not ticked today, but I'm sure everything has been noted and will be put into place for the next final.

Totally agree and am starting 2 think darvel only signed him to stop him from signing for us and making us better for next season cos they probably thought its talbot league plus they signed truesdale fae rob roy aswell after he agreed 2 sign for us.
Mon the papers. It harks back to the Meadow money days when they signed anybody Tucker was interested in and had them sitting in the stand.

Go back to the Juniors then?
Nothing to stop clubs setting up the West Region again.
Juniors were better run and if the clubs had known what a fecking mess its turning out to be then they might have had other idea's. Your favourite club is one of the problems why do they not start up a reserve league and f**k off with the other arse cheek and give some forward thinking clubs a chance to progress.
