  1. Remco, Roglic and Aysuo crash hard in a mass pile up at the Dauphine.

Remco was left sitting on the road for an absolute age, holding his shoulder, until the stage was neutralised. He did climb back on and pedal in with the peloton.

van Baarle and Kruijswijk have abandoned though. van Baarle in particular seemed to be in a bad way as he was loaded into the ambulance.

What a disaster this season is turning out to be for Jumbo LAB. Vingegaard still a doubt for the TDF, with sources suggesting it'll be another fortnight before they decide if he's going - the race starts in 3 weeks.

van Aert obviously is still a doubt after his big crash at Dwars door Vlaanderen.

van Baarle and Kruijswijk almost certainly out of the TDF.

Kuss doesn't look like he's in form at all at this race either.

It really looks like the TDF will be Pogacar's to throw away, unless his efforts in the classics/Giro catch up to him.

(iirc) After Goodwin had a run of ‘easy’ games to put points on the board, Robbo joined the club when the fixtures were more difficult. When the results didn’t come, he ‘blamed’ the players, saying it would take time to get his own players in (obviously) and faced a backlash from players and fans alike. Given that man-management was seen as one of his strengths, it was no surprise that a number of our fans were very concerned, especially after the Stubbs debacle. Thankfully, he quickly realised the error of his ways and, after some reflection, has become a better manager and a genuinely good guy. In Robbo we trust!

He ostracised all the players from the Republic of Ireland and also sarcastically applauded our support.

I certainly can't see Robinson to Sunderland.  It doesn't fit, at all.

With Robinson, it can take a wee while to get his team playing the way he wants it. You can correct me if I'm wrong here, but it felt like it took three or four months to get St.Mirren going in the first season, much like it did at Motherwell.  However, when he gets it right, it's brilliant.  The Motherwell 2017/18 team that battered f**k out of teams, leaving Moult to ping in beauties from all angles, was one of my favourite teams to watch.  You can see him doing it similarly at St. Mirren.  They can mix it, but there's still plenty of players that can play.

Robbo might have learned a lesson at Motherwell that it can go wrong quickly if you stay that season too long so it'll be interesting to see if he can keep it going at St.Mirren or whether he'll jump at the first offer (fair play to him if he gets a gig at Championship-level wages).

Also, while I'm on here.  If you get the chance, and have the means to, get going on that European trip.  I've been lucky to have been to a few Motherwell away games in Europe.  There's genuinely nothing like it.  Enjoy every second of it.  Don't do what I did last time out either, and hold off until the next round because "it's only an Irish team we're playing.  We'll get through that nae bother"...

He certainly didn't hit the ground running - to the point that a vocal minority wanted him out after a matter of weeks.

It took us until the start of the following season, about 5/6 months after he took the job, before things started to click.

At a club like Sunderland, I can't see him being given that 5/6 moth bedding in period

  4. I had a feeling Gogic would stay. He is clearly enjoying his football and I suspect we have pushed the boat out to convince him.

Strain and Baccus I'm almost certain are off. A shame too see Keanu go, he's been excellent for us. But he's not an automatic first choice and, at his age, I totally understand that he has to start week in, week out. He could also walk into a large number of English Champioship teams and earn a bomb whilst doing it it. Best of luck to him.

Strain will be the real loss. We saw when he first got injured how badly his absence impacted us ands the way we play. However, the manager has shown a real eye for talent in talking guys like Strain and Baccus to even consider coming to us, so I'm confident he will be replaced.

I'm not sold on Elvis and think we really need to be looking at a RWB as a priority.

Interesting thing that Cammy MacPherson left you in August 2021, and Erhahon left you in January 2023, and Erhahon has managed more games for his new club than MacPherson. Boys a walking sick note and I'm going to raging if we give him a new contract (Levein is already hinting he will as he's "looks great in training").

I thought it was pretty obvious when he was with us, he's a hard-working industrious type, perfectly suited to the Championship. He never struck me as a first choice top flight footballer.

Desserts cleary pushed Bolton which caused him to slip into Hemming, both teams had been doing it the whole game.

Not for me I'm afraid. I don't see a foul there. He's under pressure from Dessers and just has to be stronger. He goes down, right in front of Hemming, impeding him getting anywhere near it.

A shame as Bolton has been excellent for us since nailing down his spot, but I'm looking for him to do better there.

  7. There's been some breath-taking long-range solo attacks this classics season.

But f**k me it hasn't half been boring. It is quite the thing to watch, but it just takes away from a cracking run in to the finish.

Pogi and MVDP have dominated by making it a fairly tame watch.

Strade Bianchi, Pogi goes solo with 80k to go. MVDP won E3 after going solo at 43k to go. In Flanders, MVDP won after going solo with 45k to go. MVDP won Paris Roubaix, going solo with 60k to go. Pogi wOn LBL, going solo with 35k to go.

Impressive as hell, but not exactly exciting racing.

  8. Not buying into this Rangers/Dundee result fucking us over patter.

We need to look after ourselves. If we can pick up a result against the OF in the last 5 games, then great. If we don't and finish 6th behind Dundee, then thems the breaks.

It feels like we may just be running out of steam towards the tail-end of the season. Hopefully we can pick up a few decent results to get ourselves over the line.

Either way, we've had another very good season. Hopefully we can round it off by finishing 5th.

  9. What's the end goal by showing the CCTV footage? Serious question. What did AEW/Tony think this would achieve?

My personal opinion was always that I thought Punk was a fairly egotistical arsehole, but who was, more often than not, correct in everything he was saying about the Bucks and their crew.

After Brawl In and the Perry situation, my take was that he may or may not have been correct in his actions, but that Tony/the disciplinary committee decision was a joke.

All airing the footage has done has shown me that Punk accurately described the situation.

I don't know if Tony/AEW thought it would be some sort of gotcha moment. But for me, all it's done is show that Tony is in fact a clown and that Punk, as much of an arsehole as he always comes across, was actually telling the truth here.

It was a stupid move and everyone except Tony knew it would be.

He was a known forum poster back in the day I'm sure.

More just saying that although Twitter is a bit of a bubble it is a bit wild how much money there is for people to be made on anything negative towards AEW.

Like Cornette or Bischoff I guess but there's more put there.

If you put on a shit TV show, you get called out on it. Tony is 100% disingenuous to suggest all criticism is "in bad faith". You can say that about any TV show ever made.

We've also got Offord, but he's hardly been outstanding on loan, so sadly I can't see him making the step up.

Actually, despite a slow start, where he was on the bench virtually every week, in recent weeks he has actually been more involved in a Stirling Albion bid to avoid the relegation play-off.

He's chipped in with a few goals and assists in recent week and certainly seems to be a bit of a bright spark in an otherwise poor Stirling Albion side.
