  1. I’m not arguing that he doesn’t know what he’s doing. But he’s trying to win a ball that Vassell has chosen to trap between his legs after a pathetic dive. That’s a free kick virtually every time it happens. Rooney is no doubt trying to wind him up, but there’s just no chance that’s a red card.
  2. He was lying in the floor with the ball trapped between his legs. Saints free kick all day long
  3. Mandron’s yellow looked very soft. His second foul was a definite yellow. It’s balanced itself out lads. Calm down. As for the Rooney and Vassell incident, from where I’m sat, it looked like Vassell dived, trapped the ball between his legs and Rooney had a swipe to dislodge it. Looked like nothing much in real time to be honest.
  4. Luke Kenny could be getting more game time than expected the next month or two.
  5. If Kiltie can find his form of last season, he'll be like a new signing when he returns. We just don't carry the same level of threat without him. He's crucial to the way we now play.
  6. I love Shaughnessy as much as the next guy, but our defence is comfortably better now than when he played for us.
  7. I have to say, I wouldn't exactly be filled with confidence if I was a St Johnstone fan and we were signing Dunne. He did ok for us but he didn't start so many games for us last season and was constantly getting caught in possession when he did play. His out was always his pace. More often than not, he could dig himself out of a hole with his pace to recover. But, he's 31 now and hasn't played in quite a while. Not sure what he's been up to the last few months that he's been looking for a club, but if his pace goes, then you lot could be in a spot of bother. Good character to have in the dressing room by all accounts though.
  8. This signing is more of a gamble than I’d have liked. But given SR’s transfer record with us so far, I’ll give him the benefit if the doubt and hope he can bag a few goals.
  9. O'Connor currently has the largest lead at this stage of the race for a decade. That's crazy and was definitely a blunder giving his so much rope. With that said, I still don't think he wins this Vuelta.
  10. I do like CBM. For the most part, he's been very good for us and was a fairly low risk signing. I think if we're moving on a midfielder this window though, then he's the obvious option. Young, playing well, an international and one who can generate a fairly decent transfer fee. I'd prefer to keep him, but if we're letting one go, he's one that makes sense for all parties.
  11. I despise English football with every fibre of my being. Too often we see promising young players poached from Scottish clubs either before they make a single senior appearance, or with a handful of gams under their belt, to go and fill the academy of some jobber EPL side. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it from the players side of things. They have no way of knowing if an offer like that will come around again and he'd be stupid to turn that money down. It's a no brainer. I'm equal parts pleased for the lad and annoyed by the practices of these English clubs. But let's be real, the chances of Sutherland making the Wolves first team ad being an EPL regular are almost non-existent. They'll have about three £20million+ players waiting to step in and play in his position ahead of him. He'll most likely play for their academy, perhaps go to L1/2 down south on loan, probably end up signing for a team down there and then be back up playing for Motherwell or Killie etc in 3/4 years time. The quicker English fitba goes bust, the better for us all.
  12. Get Gogic out of midfield. He’s an absolute headless chicken in there. He must play centre back or not at all.
  13. I like Jamieson, he works hard and is a pest and has shown some quality on bursts. But if we're truthful, on what we've seen so far, he's just not cut out for the top flight just yet. He's had a several loans at L2/L1 and Championship and did pretty well. Raith is a good move for him and I wouldn't be surprised if he pens a deal there beyond this season if he can go there and contribute. He may come good eventually, but unfortunately, he just hasn't shown enough to be a consistent part of thigs with us. Good luck to him.
  14. We're approaching silly season and I see some transfers have already been announced. Ethan Hayter is off to Soudal Quickstep. Alaphillipe is off to Tudor. Lenny Kamna to Lidl Trek. Simon Yates to Visma. Jhonatan Narvaez off to UAE. Some interesting moves there.
  15. I mean he played in Barry Robson and Neil Warnock Aberdeen teams last season. Hard to look decent amongst that shite.
  16. I think Kiltie and McMenamin are out for about 2 more months. O'Hara has been struggling with the same injury since last season and seems to be struggling to shake it off. With Kiltie and McMenamin out until at least October and then they'll need another month or two to get up to speed, you're looking at the turn of the year before they're properly back playing. We need reinforcement until January at lest I think.
  17. Apparently he has been training at Motherwell's training ground, but not with them. Training on his own at their facilities it seems. As for van Veen, my mind hasn't changed since the last time we were supposedly in for him. Good addition to the squad if we get him, but not worth breaking the bank for. He had a 9 month long spell at Motherwell where he was playing like prime Batistuta. Aside from that, every metric looks fairly average. I wouldn't exactly be thrilled to push the boat out for a 33 year old who has scored 5 goals in the Dutch 2nd tier in the last year. If he's not on a ridiculous wage that he was rumoured to be after the last time we tried, then it might be worth a punt. Otherwise, it's a no from me.
  18. Now I’m just left wondering how we’d have done with O’Hara, Kiltie and McMenamin fit and available.
  19. Much, much improved from us on out first leg showing. Starting Olusanya was absolutely key and tonight just showed how badly wrong we got it last week. Brann have been quality over the 2 legs. Some of their play has been excellent. But f**k me, what a bunch diving, cheating shitebags. Over the tie, they’ve been the better side. I hope they get absolutely f**ked by Astana.
  20. Well that’s that. Well played boys, we gave it a good crack.
  21. 18 is offside in the build up surely there.
  22. I will love it if we beat them. Love it.
