  1. This lot are absolute p***ks. Every single one of them. ^^Seething^^
  2. These Brann fans can f**k off. Booing and moaning at absolutely f**k all is our thing.
  3. He’s virtually on the deck as contact is made. Nothing in that at all.
  4. Someone get Gogic new boots FFS. He can barely stand up on this surface, he’s slipped about 3 times already.
  5. Folk debating whether we're actually considering tabling a £500k offer for any player is seriously some of the dumbest shit I've seen on here in a good while. For the avoidance of doubt, there's absolutely zero chance we are spending 500k on any one player. Let it go. It's not happening.
  6. It was frustrating, I agree. But on the flip side, it's a tie played over two legs. Despite playing Ayunga and Mandron together clearly not working, I think SR had an eye on the bigger pucture rather than just focusing on last night. That said, please never force me to watch a strike pairing of Mandron and Ayunga again. It was so slow and plodding and both lost the aerial battle almost every single time. Both are good strikers, just not suited to playing together. For me, we have to go Olusanya and one other at all times when Olusanya is available.
  7. I did expect Brann to be better than us, but I was quite surprised how much better you actually were. Our entire game plan has never been possession-based under the manager. We are very much a team who will surrender possession to the opposition in order to counter attack at pace. It has worked very well for us in Scotland over the last two years, but we really struggled to get any sort of quick counter attacking play. That is probably due to a combination of Brann being very good in possession and us also missing several of our key players. One observation was that you guys seem to be missing a proper number 9. You play very good football, but if you had a real predatory penalty box striker you would have likely won by a couple of goals last night.
  8. Out of interest, where do you think St Mirren would finish in the Norwegian league? I always find it hard to compare the standard of football between countries, but based on last night, your boys would comfortably be top 2 in Scotland.
  9. I reckon if you dropped Brann in to the Scottish Premiership, they'd probably finish second. They're comfortably better than Rangers, but probably not as good as Celtic in peak form.
  10. I am still expecting Brann to beat us over the two legs, but to be going over there still in with a chance is good enough for me. Hopefully we can have O'Hara back for Thursday (doubt it), and perhaps add another player between now and then to give us a bit of a boost heading over to hostile territory. If Rooney shithouses them over there he deserves the Ballon d'Or.
  11. Brann were a joy to watch at times. As good a side as I’ve seen in a long time. As for our goal, if your own player goes down faking cramp and your own goalkeeper puts the ball out in the final seconds of a European tie, yeah you’re not getting that ball back. f**k that. Just stop falling down for no reason.
  12. Starting with Ayunga and Mandron up front was a mental call for me. We’ve tried to counteract the physicality and all that’s happened is we have 2 strikers who can barely move to challenge for anything or run in behind and the ball is just coming back at us every single time. We’ve barely held the ball for 2 consecutive passes all half. I appreciate we’re playing the long game over 2 legs, but that was pretty clearly the wrong call. That said, Brann are a clear cut above Valur and look like a pretty good side. Some lovely touches and triangles to cut us open a few times. Balcombe excellent again though.
  13. This is a new experience for the club in terms of the logistics of organising tickets for a game at such short notice whilst also adhering to UEFA protocols and handing over the oppositions share of tickets. Frustrating, admittedly, but the club are still learning through this too,. For most folk, I'd advise just keeping the head and letting the ticket office do its job.
  14. If St Mirren think I am going to pay £32 for a game of European football then they are absolutely f**king bang on.
  15. We’ve played some decent stuff that half and deservedly ahead. Brown absolutely tremendous once again.
  16. The matchday programmes appear to be sold out already. That’s disappointing as I’d have liked a souvenir for the collection. Anyway, in to this lot Saints. Saints 2-0. Ayunga x2.
  17. Don't think I'd be rushing to drop Brown, especially if there's doubts over whether Tanser could last the 90. Brown was excellent last week. I'd be tempted to chuck Rooney in to give us more of an attacking threat down the right. Elvis did ok, but he doesn't have that same threat going forward. With CBM, I'd like to see Idowu get the nod. When he came on last week, he was always positive, always looking to take on his man and always looked dangerous.
  18. I spent £29 for a ticket to our game with Valur this Thursday night. I simply would not have spent this on league fixture. £25 has typically been my cut-off point. The number of away games I attend has dropped dramatically since the Covid season due to pricing.
  19. We just haven’t made use of the man advantage at all. This being the middle of their season and this being out first competitive game is really showing here.
