Who knew throwing your players under the bus as you walk through the door was an absolutely atrocious idea?

Right from the first rumour, I just couldn't see KVV coming to us. Don't get me wrong, it was totally worth a punt and Killie have pulled off quite the coup.
That said, KVV doesn't particularly strike me as a SR striker. Is he the guy that will do plenty of donkey work out of possession? I don't think so.
But, purely based on last season, clubs in our position cannot afford to pass up on someone who is capable of that amount of goals for a diddy side. It was worth a shot and it's not worked out. We're no better or worse off than we were 24 hours ago.

Signing KVV would be quite the coup for either us or Killie. Definitely worth the punt.
Can't see it happening though.

Are folk really that shocked that the the guy who, whilst acting as Ranger's biggest cheerleader and can't even pronounce Ibrox, also can't pronounce Brora?

I'm not sure why folk feel bad for Mollie. She was a hopeless sheep from the very start.
The blueprint has been laid. Mostly terrible or under estimated faithfuls reach the final. If there's a very good faithful who becomes a "Traitor hunter", they are almost certainly a Traitor.
There were so many plot holes in Mollie's voting that I have no sympathy.

The first team has always included the substitutes.

Who makes way is we did get Lowry? Not sure I'd drop anyone from out current strongest 11.

McMenamin has been played far too often out of position. I really don't get pushing the boat out for him and then hamstringing him by chucking him at wing back.
Unless SR thought he could coach him to adapt to that position. However it became apparent very quickly that he cannot play there.
There's definitely a player in there, just not a wing back.
Folk get far too hung up on the transfer fee we paid, which obviously has nothing to do with the player. I feel he's getting extra stick because we paid decent money for him. I do feel sorry for him.

From me, Greive just isn't ever going to be a regular top-flight starter. He's far better suited to coming off the bench for the last half hour against tiring defences and putting himself about.
That said, a very likeable player who puts himself about and gets stuck in and is actually capable to chipping in with a few late, late goals.
Best of luck to him.

0-0 at East End where you missed a penalty?
Yes. If I remember right, it was John Potter's Pars debut after leaving us.

Yeah, Freeland got quietly banned from St Mirren games as well for a while. It definitely used to happen that certain refs were not given certain teams, Freeland I think only refereed two Aberdeen and 5 St Mirren games in his whole career if transfermarket is correct. He did 24 and 22 Dundee/Dundee United games for comparison.
Eddie Smith was essentially phased out of refereeing after multiple run-ins with Gus MacPherson.
In early 2008, he gave Celtic a free kick at Love Street despite the fact it was Nakamura who had actually fouled Gary Mason. This was in the 87th minute at 0-0 and Nakamura went on to score the winner directly from the freekick.
The first match of the following season, he sent Will Haining off at Celtic Park after Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink took a dive AFTER he sent a shot wide of the target. It was pulled back and Celtic were awarded the penalty and MacPherson claimed Smith winked at him from the pitch. This was around the hour mark. Celtic scored the penalty and won the game 1-0.
There have certainly been instances of referees being moved away from certain team's games. Has a club ever successfully called for a ref to be banned from reffing their games though?

Collum is not biased. He's just an absolute dumpling of a ref.
I don't recall ever seeing a ref so quick to flash cards. He barely gives himself a second to catch his breath and make a decision. He's straight in to his pocket, no matter the severity, or mildness, of whatever the incident is.
He has made some absolutely stinking calls in his time. But show me a ref who hasn't. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that he's not even close to being the worst ref in Scotland.

I know they're trying to make these big PLEs abroad even bigger, and maybe it's just thinking in the old terms, but it seems fucking mental not to be doing Rock/Reigns at WM. Even if it was a show in a friendly time-zone I wouldn't understand it, but your largest market will have to tune in live at an even more unfriendly time than we have to watch normal shows.
I suspect they are very much at the mercy of Rock's filming schedule.

Olusanya is unlucky to have caught Hart in the way he did, but that's a clear red card.
In mitigation, Olusanya has to make an attempt to get a touch on the ball and Hart lunges down towards the ball from Olusanya's blindside.
But it's a straight leg and studs to the face.
A clear red card.

No other choice unfortunately. They had to think about how the travelling Rangers fans would make it all the way home.

See if we were going to go down for 1-2 seasons and then bounce back up, fine. But I have a terrible feeling that if we go down that'll be us for a long, long time with the current state of the club.
We were relegated in the 2014/15 season, finished 6th and 7th in the Championship the next two seasons before coming up the following year. It was some pretty dark days in amongst all of that - being on the brink of relegation to L1 and suffering some absolutely horrendous results. We also had to endure Ian Murray and Alex Rae as manager.
Dropping down was, in hindsight, what we needed to get all the right people in position behind the scene and back on track, but I take on board your point about not bouncing back in short order. I really don't know where we'd be today had we slipped to L1.
That said, the march to the title, when it finally did happen, was fucking magnificent and some of my favourite days supporting the club.

Not to be antagonistic, but you guys have the whiff of a club in need of a total re-set in the Championship.
It happened to us 10 years ago and, in all honesty, was much needed.

Was Derek Adam dragged up to Dingwall with a bag over his head and his hands tied up, whilst kicking and screaming?
Or did he willingly sign a binding contract to become the Ross County manager?

I can’t believe it has to be said, but painting the listeners’ picture of what is happening is the key element of broadcasting live sport on radio.
Failing to provide basic facts and a clear picture of what’s happening in the game is on the BBC.

What an absolutely honking game. Utterly baffling why it took both teams half a fucking hour to figure out that lumping high balls in those conditions was a terrible idea.
What a shocker if a penalty from O’Hara, but seeing it back, not exactly sure why it wasn’t re-taken for encroachment.
If I was a Motherwell fan I’d be fuming with Slattery. 1 on 1 with the keeper and a CB chasing him down and he pulls off a dive like that. Embarrassing. Why he didn’t just take the shot is beyond me.
A honking game in barking conditions. A draw probably the fair result.

For whatever reason, can we assume SR has gone off Small now?

From the games I've seen so far, I wouldn't worry if I was a Killie or Dundee fan. I think those two will be comfortably safe come the end of the season.
For me, the worst sides I've seen this season are Livi and St Johnstone. Both were absolutely stinking in the games I attended.
County and Motherwell look to be in danger of dropping in to a play-off. Livi or St Johnstone to go down automatically and any one of the one that survives, Well and County for the play-off spot.
My gut tells me Livi will be bottom and Motherwell will end up in the play-off.

Loy seemed like a knowledgeable ex-pro purely because he could name you some of the players in the championship. I'd be surprised if half of them could name the teams in the Championship, let alone the players.
By comparison, Rory Loy is still head and shoulders above almost all of them - but purely by default.

It certainly looked as if Carson was relying on Olusanya being offside. It appeared he just let him place the ball past him because he was offside and assumed it'd be called back for the freekick. Get it fucking up him.
I'm not usually one to stick up for shite refs, but in real time I, and everyone around me, thought Olusanya was a mile off. I suspect it's because he's so fast, but he looked a good yard offside. I was amazed when I saw the highlights and he was in fact a yard onside.
EDIT - The west stand linesman was, however, an absolute mile behind play, and was in no position to make a call one way or the other.
