  1. Rhys McCabe expected to be named as a trialist for Saturday after being released at end of November from St Pats.
  2. Really frustrated not to have finished the match with 3 points. That just shows how well the team played second half as in the first 45 we were horrendous. Stranraer away support. Did it not look more as they all seemed to sit in the top half rather than being scattered between the top & bottom sections?
  3. The boy took his goal well but nothing to get excited about. He was mediocre at best on Tuesday night, he'll not appear for the first team.
  4. I take it that you show your season book/ membership on collection? i would imagine they would have a list of all members & season ticket holders. I'm more curious at to the breakdown of how many ST holders & members the club have & out of that how many either have one of them or both?
  5. Bonnyrigg tickets go on sale tomorrow. Hopefully Clyde have news soon about ticket sales. Montrose didn’t have segregation, any word on if there’ll be any for this tie?
  6. Really looking forward to it, a proper Scottish Cup tie. Should be a cracking atmosphere.
  7. Not the best of games & a draw was probably a fair result. Frustrating though given our chances right at the death & the chance Grant had after Goodwillie outmuscled the defender in the box at end of first half. Some great defending & goalkeeping preventing us on those occasions. Other than that we never really done much going forward.
  8. Delighted with the draw. It should be a cracking tie & one that we cannot afford to be complacent in. Bonnyrigg are no mugs & certainly showed that against Montrose on Saturday. Confident we will have too much for them on the day but will make for an auld fashioned Scottish cup tie in front of a large crowd. I would expect we would be needing at least 600 tickets which after watching the highlights from the weekend shouldn’t be a problem(?). It looked like there was still plenty of space.
  9. On the topic of Currie he won us plenty of points with some brilliant saves yet was a keeper that people were quick to remember any mistakes rather than all of his match winning saves. He did well for us & a player I feel was harshly criticised. His distribution was the best i’ve seen in league two. Also worth noting that at the end of the 17/18 season he was one of only 4 players to turn up to a supporter group’s player of the year night even though he knew he hadn’t won any awards. Respect for that. Thats enough of the sentimental mince from me.
  10. We weren’t at our best today but in the cup the only thing that matter is progressing to the next round. Always get excited for a cup draw & end up dissapointed with who we get. Regarding Nicoll... I liked him for us last season & for all we lack a nasty side to us in midfield he would slow the game down far too much. Thankful to him for his contribution in us getting promoted & will never forget his footwork whilst dancing in the pub the night we got promotion. Singing his name or showing appreciation is fine but not when he makes a challenge that prevents Goodwillie from being through on goal or smashes our own wee Lamont. Niceties are all well & good but it’s clyde we support & want to win. I can’t agree with the supporting of an opponent during the 90 minutes or singing their name when we’ve got 11 of our own players out there playing for our badge & club. So aye, roll on the draw tonight...
  11. He did actually train with Falkirk for more than a year to keep his fitness up when he first signed for us. Or so it was rumoured anyway. Grant is a cracking player, always keeps it neat & tidy very rarely giving the ball away. As posted I’m fully expecting Falkirk to be a much improved side from the one we played at broadwood. Both teams are very capable of winning so it depends who turns up on the day. Hope we bring a reasonable crowd through. I’m looking forward to it anyway, much better feeling getting up before a game when you know there’ll be more than 3 men & a dug as home support like in league two. Bring em’ on!!
  12. 5-1 and Goodwillie to get sent off... nae danger! Looking forward to the game & that is certainly winnable. We need to start well though & not gift Falkirk 2 goals like we did last week.
  13. Lets just hope the football is more exciting than the tautology chat...
  14. You’d like to think we’d bring a reasonable crowd. Amazing how many people though have hit out with “I’m not going it’s 20 quid” patter. Whether it’s £18 or £20 it’s literally only the price of a pint more expensive than the other grounds. Plenty would spend a pretty penny on busses or trains to further afield grounds - ridiculous. Anyway I’ll be there & those who miss us trouncing Falkirk on their own patch will be kicking themselves.
  15. Happy enough with the draw. Pretty local & always a good day out in Stirling. Hopefully the game draws a decent crowd with an atmosphere to match. A winnable tie against lower league opposition as well. Looking forward to seeing big Kev’s glorious baldy napper, just hope he doesn’t crock Ray Grant!!
