  1. I wish no harm to him but it's definitely the right thing for the club. I was relatively happy with his appointment at the time but it's been a disaster. Six month deal was a good move by the board and they should be commended for that.

I get the arguments for wanting a (relatively) safe pair of hands like Johnston but I'd like to see us taking a bit of a longer term approach. People won't agree because "am sick ae rookies!" but I'd like to see us go after Scott Brown or Marvin Bartley. Give them a couple of years to try and put a plan in place. Both have been really good professionals and I think players would want to play for them.

We can win the last three games 12-0 - Kenny Miller should not even be in consideration on a longer term basis.

After tonight's win CSS look likely for the last SPFL Trust Trophy spot. Berwick need to win and hope CSS lose.

Has this definitely been confirmed? I listened to the LL catch up with the LL chairman and he'd said guest clubs would be removed from the final table, but didn't elaborate on what that meant.

I don't expect the board to announce Rennie is leaving. The prospect of the players giving even less of a shit than they do now isn't appeaing and it's still possible for us to end up in the relegation play-offs I think. The fact they haven't announced he is staying is a good thing. Kenny Miller spending an increasing amount of time with the media seems to point to him going though.

If Rennie stays, I won't renew my ST but if results pick up I'll probably pay at the gate. Sustained improvement may see me buy a half season at Xmas.

If Rennie goes and an interesting name is appointed, I'll probably renew BUT only after the first game of the season, no Early Bird for me.

Reason is I want to see if they continue with the ridiculous lecture over the PA. I will not return if that stays. I don't go to the football to be patronised, lectured and treated like an idiot. I can stay at home for that. Get that lecture to f**k and whoever dreamt it up should get a real dressing down, fucking idiot.

You won't go to games because the PA system tells you not to invade the pitch or shout racist abuse?

Great, another guy that's been around the houses & achieved precious little.

Only needs somebody to show the fans that they can organise a side, with a style of play that's effective & can be believed in. That would buy them time to build something. After the past 4/5 seasons, I think doing the basics right would get the fans behind them.

Personally I think it's screaming out to be offered to Scott Brown. He's a winner who won't take any shite, be able to attract a decent player & he'd be getting a club, with a good support, that's on its arse. Wouldn't get a much better opportunity to build something from scratch & show if he's capable of moving on to something bigger.

I'm 100% with on Scott Brown. Players would want to play for him and he would strike a good balance between standards being high but creating an enjoyable environment. Fully expect him to get a better offer than our rabble but he's the first person I'd be speaking to.

Not going, Season ticket holder so it doesn’t  matter.
Put 20 notes on Cove to win by more than 1 goal at almost 3/1 - I think it’s buying money,  I wish I had the bottle to bet Heavy as I would have tried to buy next seasons, season ticket with todays very probable catastrofuck.

Not quite that but I've covered my half season ticket with Montrose at 7/4 and Cove at evens this week.

I do find it odd that the previous board were rightly criticised for closing the academy, their claims of how much it cost to run were criticised.

I remember £90k (I think) was offered and it was claimed this would be enough to keep the whole academy going.

Yet now we’re being told it would cost a ‘six figure sum’ to run one under 12s team and presumably many of the same people who criticised the previous board decision have endorsed this one.

My reading of it was it's a "six figure sum" to do all the stuff that was allegedly promised (eg training camps abroad and what have you).

    Goosebumps

What a player. The best players we've had over the years have always played with their shoulders back and a bit of a swagger. Farid was very much in that mould. He'd have done well down South if he hadn't blown his knee out.

I also have a great song for him to the tune of the "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys that never got to see the light of day.

  8. Dixon is right in everything he's saying there TBF apart from sounding like he wished Sheerin hadn't been emptied. Pretty unprofessional to be coming out with that sort of stuff while still under contract.

More than 50k a year on Paul Watson is stunning to me. Good on him for taking the money but we shouldn't be handing out deals like that unless Will Vaulks fancies more nights out in Sportsters every week.

It's not just the injury but he'll obviously miss pre-season and even if he makes the timeframe to return he'll need to be brough back up to speed. One of the few members of the squad I'd have kept on so it's particularly frustrating.

We absolutely did not have to take the gamble with Griffiths. This is revisionist bollocks

It'll get paired up with this made up injury to justify the signing. "He was carrying a knock" etc etc

Every player Rennie signed injured = we'd have been class if they'd all stayed fit. You can spot it a mile off.

Kabia's been a standout, argueably one of the best players in the league.

Griffiths was a gamble we simply just had to take or Jaime Wilson was our only option as a sub upfront.

Jacobs is a far better midfielder than Hetherington or Miller, I just think Rennie's mismanaged that one by constantly dropping him in and out of the team. He needed a consitent run of games.

Watson was again a case of we simply had to sign him as there wasn't anything else on the horizon. Again I don't think the 5 at the back suits him at all, especially having to play with Mckay on one side and ATS on the other.

ATS is a donkey so I'm not even going to try build a case for him.

Mills is an 18 year old who's still in my opinion streets ahead of Mckay & ATS and I'd happily have him back in amongst the squad next season.

No offence pal but this is genuinely mental.
