  1. I'd give you a greenie for that but Div hasn't got his finger out his arse and sorted the android app .
  2. Hahahaha. That's not my fiance, it's the lady were getting her from. She was yawning, but I did lol at your comment.
  3. We just got our wee dog reserved today. Bella, she's a Beaglier and we get her at the end of May. I'm soooo excited! She's brilliant.
  4. Batman - The Killing Joke. Actually very good. An excellent Joker story, really encapsulates his character. Shorter than I expected. I read the reimagined version so the artwork had been updated. Meant to be more in keeping with the story than the original artwork.
  5. I was torn between which of the 2 to download. Looks like I picked the wrong one.
  6. I'll give that one a go cheers. I had been looking at another Daredevil graphic novel 'The Man without Fear'. But I might give End of Days a go.
  7. Frank Millar - The Dark Knight Returns. First published in 85 (I think) it said to be the first reimagining of a darker, grittier Batman (in contrast to the camp 60s version). I quite enjoyed it. I get why it's so respected if it reimagined Batman and was original in its day but I'm not sure how good the actual story / writing is. As I said I enjoyed it but think it's probably over rated. There were a few panels where it wasn't exactly clear what was going on and it's a little corny at times. Maybe it's just not aged as well as some think or maybe I'm being overly harsh. 7 out of 10. Still a very solid score.
  8. Hadn't read a comic I'm over a year but decided to buy Marvels. It gets great review but I didn't really enjoy it. I liked the idea that it was from a photographers perspective but I just couldn't get into it. Also I've decided that I don't like Alex Ross artwork. It looks good in the odd picture but not for an entire comic. It gets annoying after a while.
  9. Marvels. Graphic novel. Marvel universe (shockingly) from the perspective of a normal photographer. Gets great reviews, I wasn't to impressed. I'm not a huge fan of Alex Ross' artwork which probably didn't help.
  10. What makes you say that? I like him as a player, think he's under rated by many of our fans.
  11. Usually I agree, in Civil War (comics) I agreed with Cap though. Stark is a dick in it.
  12. Did you read his Ready Player One? I was considering buying Armada as I loved Ready Player One.
  13. Ready Player One - Ernest Cline In a world low on fossil fuels and in horrific conditions, much of the population lives in a VR world. The creator of the world dies and leaves behind a treasure hunt to his entire fortune. A 80s pop/tv/gaming culture heavy treasure hunt. I absolutely loved it. References that took me back to my childhood all the way through the book. Definitely worth a read for anyone who grew up in the 80s and likes Sci fi.
  14. There's a difference between wishing him no ill (whilst respecting his work ethic with us) and having a 'rose tinted view' or 'kissing his arse'
  15. I think Austin seems like a good signing for us (potentially) so I couldn't care less if he chose Falkirk over Dundee or if Dundee dropped their interest in him. If Dundee did drop their interest, I could understand why as its a big step up, or if he chose us over Dundee I could see the logic in that too. But either way, it makes no difference. I don't know anyone wanting Loy to fail.I liked him as a player for us and wish him no ill whatsoever. He always gave 100% and I like players with that work ethic.
  16. To be honest I'm not sure if he was from Aberdeen or not but he definitely had the Doric twang about him. He's not really a football fan either by what he was saying. I think he was regurgitating what the main steam media have been peddling. He's not a Rangers fan either, in case anyone thought I was suggesting that he was. He just started talking to me about football as I was in the communal TV room watching Falkirk play Alloa on BBC Alba when he walked in. I think he was just trying to make conversation. The Rangers fan that came in and started spouting his drivel is definitely Glasgow area but I'm not sure exactly where from. Horrible little loud mouthed fucker. I usually avoid him but didn't realise he had walked in as I was chatting with the other guy.
  17. A guy at my work yesterday (from Aberdeen area I think, and not really a football fan) was saying that Scottish football needs Rangers in the top flight as the game was on its knees. As I was trying to tell him that what he was saying was nonsense and taken from main stream media succulent lamb types a Rangers fan had walked in behind me (I hadn't realised) As I tried to have a 'debate' with him he came out with some brilliant gems Rangers didn't go into liquidation as the lawsuits against the old company can't still be ongoing if it was liquidated. The Premier teams voted Rangers OUT of the Premier (as apposed to the actual refused to allow them entry) Thinks they were hard done to rather than given preferential treatment (got straight into the league unlike Airdrie for example) And my favourite... 'you're all just jealous' . (It's a football team mate, not a personal achievement) Edit - Apparently Rangers have ZERO debt too. None at all. And they definitely didn't have the begging bowl out before Christmas. He actually completely believed those points too. Mental.
  18. This is one of the few posts I've seen that makes building the stand seem like a decent idea. The only other I saw was one saying we would get alot of grants for it. If those 2 are correct then it maybe does make sense. If it was just a stand, we were completely paying for it and there was no other reason, then it wouldn't make sense to me.
  19. It's not about title stripping for me. It's about trying to claim that you're the same club, with the same history. That's the morally questionable thing. It's taking all the glory that goes with the over spending but taking absolutely none of the responsibility. Especially considering Airdroeonians were denied entry to the league after their liquidation. They were told they couldn't as it would encourage other clubs to use liquidation as a way to remove debt and return to the league debt free. So the 'we were harshly treated' argument doesn't wash with me as in comparison to Airdroeonians, they were given preferential treatment. As I asked earlier, can't you understand why fans of other clubs have issue with this? I certainly can, and wonder why many Rangers fans can't.
  20. The large debts are one thing but being liquidated and returning wanting to keep your history and trophies is another thing entirely. It's not about Rangers being singled out and 'punished' as their scenario IS different. As I said in my initial post, I know other clubs ran up debts but none of them were liquidated which is THE major difference. Being liquidated, returning with zero debt (as well as being allowed straight back into the league structure despite Airdrieonians being denied a few years earlier to discourage liquidation and returning debt free) AND still trying to claim the history and titles is completely different to the scenarios you mentioned. Can't you see why that would annoy people? Celtic in the 90s is a completely different scenario to the Rangers one from 2012 onwards. Surely you can see that. It's apples and oranges. Celtic weren't liquidated and didn't default on their debt due to that. It's not even close to the same thing. The Club vs company thing (as I previously mentioned) is the perfect example of being happy to take the glory of the overspending but not wanting to take any of the responsibility. I'm not as bothered about this as many are but I just can't see why some Rangers fans seem to feel so persecuted and can't understand why fans would feel annoyed by it. It's fairly obvious to me. Edit to add - I'm genuinely looking to get your point of view and I'm not trolling or trying to 'bait' anyone. As I said earlier, I won't blame anyone for sticking up for their club but I just wonder how you see it, and if you try to be unblinkered. I try to be unblinkered with my team but I know it's a difficult thing to do...
  21. What are they panicking about? I genuinely have no clue. I'm lost with what's happening.
