  1. That's a very difficult question (for you it appears) But let's stick to slagging Rangers!
  2. I think the Killie squirrels aren't grey, so can't be classed as vermin. Anyway, I got round to writing to Stephen Thompson yesterday, and have received an acknowledgement. Here is an abridged version, with personal details removed: "I would be grateful if the following could be brought to the attention of the chairman and board of directors. FAO Mr Stephen Thompson and directors, Dundee United Football Club I write as a season ticket holder at Tannadice (35 years), and a fan of the club for almost xx years. Presently, I am considering whether my support of the club in the spl, via season ticket will continue:feeling as I do, I can appreciate that the board and chairman will be going through similar anxieties. I'm sure you know the arguments, without me going into any detail (which is somewhat difficult, given the spl 's lack of zeal concerning news re Sky, and the probe into alleged double contracts at Rangers). Perhaps there are some groups hoping the decision gets taken out of the chairmen's hands. But among the scaremongering and unquantifiable projections, it appears we have a choice, if it boils down to accepting or rejecting the likely 'New Rangers' into the spl : Sky plus sponsors or United fans? When it comes to decision time, and if football integrity is to lose out to commerce, whose cash does the club value more? I thank you for your attention, Yours in Sport" Edits for spacing!
  3. They certainly are not in line with the vast majority of United fans I speak to. But the newspaper 'story' makes out that Arabtrust are articulating facts. while the statement issued really appears non committal to me. 'Meltdown'? I see that nowhere in the statement. The article is written by Tom Duthie, that should tell you all you need to know.
  4. The Evening Telegraph has totally slanted the Arabtrust statement issued on Saturday.
  5. Just in case nobody looked at the comments on that rangersmedia article, here are a few samples: There seems to be this deluded idea that everybody should just lie down and let Rangers do whatever they want, well the normal football fan doesn't agree with this. You are blaming everybody except the people who are responsible. and The fact you are allowed to post this garbage on a mainstream Rangers site is deeply saddening. Until these kind of articles stop coming out and influencing Rangers fans they'll never accept the truth of the severity and scale of the crimes Rangers ARE guilty of. and But we're Rangers, we are the people; we're special(needs)! Please don't punish us for the unsporting, unethical and fraudulent methods we used for donkeys years, to stroke the public purse and win trophies we couldn't otherwise have won. Lets just wipe the slate clean and pretend it never happened; that would be the best for all concerned because the SPL needs us! Anybody from here?
  6. Aye: the comments are interesting tho': I wonder why the mods on that site allow what they'd normally see as anti-Rangers propaganda.
  7. Chocolate M&Ms please. 1McGregor QPR 2 Broadfoot Coventry City 3 Wallace Bolton 4 Whittaker Hull City 5 Bartley Doncaster Rovers 6 Perry Rangers 7 McCulloch York City 8 Edu Evian Thonon Gaillar 9 Aluko Birmingham City 10 Bedoya PhiladelphiaUnion 11 McCabe Rangers
  8. Liquidator's playing in Munich I hear. Anyway, United's ArabTRUST released this statement tonight> ArabTrust Non-committal, yet asking for some clarification about the telly situation: It is imperative therefore that the situation with SKY is clarified as a matter of urgency. As a national broadcaster they should be called upon to confirm their ongoing commitment to the SPL as a whole and not just appear to give the impression that their interest is solely based on the provision of four Old Firm games per season. This is additionally important given the Rangers management teams’ assertions that the transfer ban for season 2012/13 could cause them to finish in the bottom six of the SPL or indeed suffer relegation.
  9. My marriage is over, job is lost, social life down the pan.... I've set up phone so I can view this admin thread when I am away from laptop, nothing else matters in my life!
  10. Some time ago, I mentioned my RM log in, but for a laugh added in a claim as a couple of (perhaps) genuine RM members to see what might happen: all were banned! Now I'm thinking some of you might have been hit by friendly fire. Who can we trust?
  11. Have a great day Jambos and Hibees: I'm very envious. As a veteran of very many losing finals, and a few victorious ones, it's best to do most of your celebrating/drowning of sorrows after the game! Have a fantastic time: I've had a dream about the game, there's only one goal in it (doesn't go to penalties) AND the goalscoring game winning hero has not scored at all this season! I might even put a bet on (haven't been in a bookmakers since before United were even in any of those finals). Looking forward to it.
  12. "Ticketus might still be owed money by Rangers, but if you now buy season tickets, I'll have first dibs on your money!"
  13. Argument thrown back at me when raised with RFC fans is that, as they are in admin, they cannot legally pay this money. They went into admin around 9 days after the cup game, unsure if that's relevant. Aye, throw them out!
  14. This Rangers 'tragedy' has probably brought more listeners to Clyde, BBC Scotland and Real Radio: I flick between them for a laugh a few times a week while normally I'd never tune in. So the fact is the OF bring in business to the media! A foreign gentleman called Andre was on tonight (unsure on which station), outlining why the OF need the other clubs more than the other way round. He asked the panels opinions of his points, and was ignored and cut off.
  15. Why would they need to seek 50 tickets to chain themselves to the turnstiles anyway? They wouldn't actually want to get in to the game after that act, would they? Not very bright, the typical Ibrox supporter.
  16. Some posters have got carried away there: great stuff! Pleased at the situation.
  17. See you joined on the day 'they' became RFC (IA): my membership was exactly three years in advance, just waiting for the day It's been in the planning for a while! They are fucked, it's just 'when' rather than 'if'. The only concern from me is how the leaders of our game (in the boardrooms, SFA and spl) deal with it.
  18. Your Charlie looks like he's got bollocks for brains. Which perhaps Green has! But looking back at the first few posts, way back on 13th Feb, Drooper might well have this right>>>>> Hope he's well wrong tho'!
