  1. Didn't even plan it. Went over with the missus for lunch and had a wander down to see what was happening ended up down there for 3 hours walking the course and watching all the people I mentioned above. Cracking afternoon. Enjoy Thursday.
  2. Probably not the best for normal spectating but today was literally walking along beside them as they played their shots close. Doesn't really get much better from a spectating point of view. Still tempted at a Sunday ticket next weekend.
  3. Yeah, 15quid to get in on Monday, official practice days start tomorrow. Tiger etc will all be there. Today was very informal just walked onto the course for a look and ended up out at 16 watching Watson. Scott, Watson, Snedeker, Stenson, Horschel and a few others were all out and just taking 2 or 3 approach shots getting lines on the green and chatting with the crowd. Guess the real practice days will be far more formal and official.
  4. Cracking afternoon at St.Andrews today. Went over with the missus and ended up walking down 16, 17 and 18 with Tom Watson and Brandt Snedeker.
  5. Five title fights he's cancelled now. Gets to the point where it's beyond a joke. Obviously an incredible fighter but the rate at which he cancels fights is ridiculous.
  6. Anyone know if this is on Sky go was golfing on Monday so missed it.
  7. If you're going to offer a decent deal, fire in. I could be tempted?
  8. Aside from the 2-0 up part this is pretty much exactly what was happening in Dublin. And rather than being confused the Irish just seemed to join in. I'm still genuinely missing Dublin, was one of the best weekends away I've had - although it was about Thursday before I was back to normal.
  9. Twist and Shout also seemed to feature all day both days. There was one mid afternoon on the Saturday where the whole of Temple Bar was bouncing. We were in the Auld Dubliner and went outside to see what was going on and it was just brilliant.
  10. Feared losing Bishop could cost the Lightning and it looks like that could be the case. Still hopefully of winning the series with the home advantage in game 7.
  11. I need to catch up on the end of season 4 but yeah, season 3 - especially towards the end - was brilliant TV.
  12. I use an app called GolfShot and its brilliant. Admittedly I don't use it to its full potential but you can do Fairways/greens hit. You can also select which club you've hit and it tracks how far you're hitting each club, again I'm not using it anywhere near to its potential but it's great. Just rejoined monifieth last week after a couple years off. Got a new driver at Christmas and its made a huge difference. Keeping the ball in play off the tee makes so much difference to your score. I need to get a couple cards in for a handicap but don't know anyone/play with anyone at the club so going to have to ask someone nicely in the club of theyll come round with me.
  13. Hopefully Bishops injury isn't too bad. He was really sturggling to get to his feet last night after scrambling. Hopefully another couple of days rest and he'll be fine for game 4. Still regretting not backing the lightning at 25/1 back in October.
  14. It's going to happen! So confident when Tampa go one up in games, as you mentioned the road record is unbelievable. It was the same in the last 2 series, it's almost like they enjoy playing away from the Amalie Arena more. Should be in Tampa in October for the first game of the season. Would be amazing if it was a Stanley Cup presentation as well.
  15. Clearly he's been told there's some serious evidence against him. Makes last weeks election even more of a farce.
  16. Agree with this. There's somethings you just shouldn't buy at the outlets. The exchange difference on some of the designer stuff is enough in the proper shops is enough. My mrs got an MK bag for 137quid in Macy's, same bag is 240 over her. I wouldn't waste a day out of New York to go 50 miles away shopping when you've got a whole city full of shops. If you're looking for 3 pairs of jeans for 50dollars then by all means go for it. If you're just going for a spoach then you're just as well staying in the city and making the most of it. I'd also say to see anywhere near enough of Central Park you'd need about 5/6 hours. We spent 3 hours in it the last time we were there and when we looked on google maps we'd hardly even left Columbus circle.
  17. As noted already the best way seems to be to book everything through BA. We got 5 nights and flights 24th - 29th December for £675 with BA. Seems like the best way to do it.
  18. Let's go lightning. Not seen any highlights or anything yet but happy with that. Think I'd prefer the ducks in the final but I'm happy either way.
  19. FIFA trying to claim they kick started the investigation in an attempt to clean up their act.
  20. Agree with you here. Would love this. Lightning took a pounding last night though so it's all to play for on Friday night. 3-2 Lightning I hope.
  21. Woudln't mind the Ducks in the final. I've got a good feeling about the Lightning. Still wishing i'd gone with my gut in January at 22/1.
  22. 3-0 against the Rangers in the Regular Season. 15-7 aggregate score, here's hoping for some more of that. We were at the Lightning Opening game this season and my girlfriend said the other opening game she was at Lightning one the Stanley Cup. She's still saying she's a lucky charm.
  23. Made it pretty easily last night. Not sure who i'd prefer in the conference finals, wins over both in the Regular Season. Probably prefer to face the Capitals but I think a 3-1 win for the Rangers is on the cards tonight.
  24. I just think Messi has that something unbelievably special about him. Watching that goal live last night reminded me why I love football, just have to sit back and enjoy it. Sitting on the sofa just laughing at how good it was. For me Messi, when fully fit, will always be ahead of Ronaldo. It seems now Ronaldo has become a typical number nine. Not too much involvement in the over all game, feeds of the scraps and takes every chance he gets - which is why his goal scoring record is so incredible. In games that aren't going Madrids way he doesn't seem, from what I've seen in the 6 months, to take the game by the scruff of the neck and decide what direction it's going in. Messi does. There was a big article about it, i think it might have been in FourFourTwo, detailing the 'Important' goals that the two of them had scored and Messi was miles out in front. The number of games his goals had won for Barca was unreal. Ronaldo on the other hand was grabbing hattricks when Madrid were already 2/3-0 up for example. That put things into context for me a little bit. The debate could go on and on but for me Messi will always be ahead. Seeing him play in the flesh, I have seen Ronaldo twice too, was just something special. The sheer adulation of the Camp Nou when he comes onto the pitch is something I've never seen before.
