True story this, one of the letting agents I do work for, Celtic rented a house in Stirling from them for Kolo Toure.... two or three times a day Kolo or his wife were phoning the office or the property manager who was liaison between tenants and landlords asking them to drop off various bits of shopping or run errands for them..... don't know how the likes of Man City and Liverpool molly coddled their foreign players but they had to go round to the house and explain its not the job of the letting agent to go to Asda for you and pick up your kids from school, this by all accounts didn't go down well with Mrs Toure who was apparently a complete nut job.

I take it he won’t be coming back then.

RENDAN RODGERS is in line to finally be confirmed as new Celtic boss on Monday.

SunSport understands the Northern Irishman and Hoops chiefs, primarily major shareholder Dermot Desmond, have agreed on terms and conditions of his stunning return to the Parkhead hot-seat for several days.

But it's been about the timing of the announcement which Celtic fans - many of whom have U-turned and are ready to forgive his 2019 walk-out for Leicester City - are now impatient for.

The Treble winners are delighted they've managed to capture Rodgers as a relatively quick replacement for Ange Postecoglou.

Now, barring any last minute hitches, they're 48-hours from confirming the big news

Celtic understandably see it as a statement appointment for their intentions to maintain domestic dominance but also back the 50-year-old significantly for a push at making a Champions League impact.
Rodgers, as SunSport Online revealed, gave Desmond the signal on Tuesday he was ready to come back to Glasgow just over four years from his controversial exit south.

We also then revealed that the former Swansea City and Liverpool boss would once again become Celtic's biggest earning manager in their history - following his sensational 2016 appointment which saw him earn £2.2 million a year.

Now Rodgers will bank in excess of that for a long term deal - likely five years - which will also see him majorly rewarded for success on the home and Euro fronts.

Importantly for Rodgers, he will have coaching stalwart John Kennedy by his side after persuading the highly regarded 39-year-old, also a close friend, to turn his back on any lingering hope of being reunited with Postecoglou at Spurs.

Ooft, likely 5 yrs deal, can’t wait to see what the fee is when he leaves after 6 months like the diddies keep telling us.

6 months into the job and everything looking dandy, Celtic steamrolling all before them domestically, and even doing well in Europe, he's won the green hate Rodgers brigade over and they're calling him Brendan again, then, da da daaaaaaaa, a mid table EPL side sacks their manager and offers Brendan the job..................................................Eating Popcorn GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY

We already got £9m for him the first time, so would prob get that again. Not a bad mid season boost.  Make It Rain Money GIF

The 25-year-old Japan international, a key player for Celtic since joining from Kawasaki Frontale in January last year, has been linked with rejoining former boss Ange Postecoglou at Spurs this summer.

In an interview with Goal.com,, external Hatate said: “If there is a chance to step up, I would like to play in various leagues. “As a football player, I think everyone wants to play at a high level throughout the season.

“It's really big there [in Scotland]. When I was in the J League, I thought it was impossible to want to play in the five major leagues.

“However, because I was able to achieve a certain amount of results throughout the season with Celtic, I started to think that I would like to challenge myself next time.

If there is a chance, I would like to take on the challenge.

“Of course, if I stay with this team, I can have a lot of good experiences and next season there will be Champions League. I think that by always standing at the top and fighting I will be mentally stronger, so there are many good points even if I stay.

“However, since I was able to experience it properly, I have a desire to play in another league.”
