  1. The expectation was probably that IMG people would formally be voted in later as long as they did a reasonable job. A special general meeting has been called for March 1st to elect new blazers and make rule changes so looks like the West Lothian Question (sorry couldn't resist) could be resolved well before the EoS application deadline. https://wosfl.co.uk/news/
  2. So you are confident the Whitburn to WoS info is accurate then?
  3. Wasn't going to post this scenario yesterday due to the probable backlash from certain quarters, but this doesn't necessarily contradict Whitburn Vale's info from yesterday. The EoS application could simply be an insurance policy in case they get knocked back by the WoS, because otherwise they could wind up making lots of trips to Tayside next season.
  4. Given they used to be Linlithgow Thistle in the amateurs maybe Bo'ness Thistle is the way ahead for them now: https://www.linlithgowgazette.co.uk/sport/football/linlithgow-thistle-want-play-junior-football-new-boness-united-facility-77141
  5. West Calder attempting to go west would be an interesting development (note I am not advocating this, for interesting the word mental could also be inserted). That's almost in Livingston and further east than Blackburn. If even that's not being rejected out of hand by the WoS IMG types the meetings between the EoS and WoS would definitely be quite entertaining to listen to in a why are your tanks parked on my lawn sort of way.
  6. A directly attributed quote from Colin Boyd of the WoS IMG and Kilwinning Rangers is involved, so that is comparable to info from clubs.
  7. This should probably also have been posted here: "Some east junior clubs" makes it sound like more than two east region clubs want to go west and "All clubs will be welcome as long as they meet the criteria and are a positive addition to the league" makes it sounds like they might be welcomed in if the member clubs are OK with it and view them as a positive addition. "No official boundaries" also fits with what patriot1 has posted about the Club 42 Tay Bridge boundary being a red herring in EoS terms because there are no fixed geographical limits in place.
  8. Sounds about right and hopefully they do wind up in the EoS. The Sunday Mail info posted above suggests the WoS see it as a grey area though and have not simply told them to take a hike, because the county boundary is being used like it was in the juniors. Suspect the sensible outcome will prevail in the end with only Harthill possibly having a choice.
  9. That's absurd. Even after repeatedly stating recently that I do not care which way the Tayside clubs go on this people like you are still posting complete drivel like this. All I have done is highlighted the reality that Tayside is not part of the tier 6 HL pyramid negotiations and what patriot1 has posted about where there being no geographical limits on who can apply to the EoS.
  10. What on earth is your problem? You are the one that has been talking up this WoS scenario on here in recent weeks not me.
  11. ...which leaves 9 with three of those being BUJFC, Sauchie Juniors Community and Syngenta, so really only 6 traditional junior clubs Armadale, West Calder, Stoneyburn, Bathgate, Fauldhouse and Harthill.
  12. This picture from Skye on the last page looked familiar from the film Prometheus?
  13. It was only a matter of time: https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2021-02/uoc-ccm020221.php
  14. It does if you want to keep contact with rationality.
  15. Pales in comparison to the SDA in Bosnia's approach to coalition building in 1990: What could possibly go wrong.
  16. Either way, regardless of what ultimately happens on the remaining east region north clubs there are going to be some very long away game journeys with Tweedmouth to Brechin not being uniquely onerous in that regard (check out Montrose Roselea to Nairn St Ninian in the north region, for example, or Kirkwall to Inverness in the NCL), which is why there are reasonable arguments to be made in both directions: What should be standing out from ArabAuslander's post above is the HL catchment scenario is less likely without SFA intervention angle and what that says following on from what was being posted by JimmyShaker one of the admins of the FitbaNorth forum.
  17. Already blindingly obvious from what he has posted which way the wind is blowing if you read between the lines. It's not reasonable to badger somebody to be 100% explicit about something when they are obviously trying to avoid doing that. Maybe take the hint about toning down your posting style a notch or two from what has happened on the COVID thread?
  18. Hopefully this means it will finally be possible to make comparisons between COVID-19 and particularly bad flu seasons without having the scientifically illiterate on here and elsewhere getting all upset about it.
  19. This bit? Jamie Sandilands‎ to Whitburn Junior FC 7 hrs Next up in the management team is someone one or two of you may recognise. He's such a quiet guy you may not have noticed him around the place He assures me he is the best kitman in the world and who am I to argue with the legend that is Robert Haddow. So much more than a kitman to me and everyone else involved at the club although we could fall out over one of his answers How long have you been involved on committee at Whitburn? 12 years Who has been your favourite player in that time? Dougie Horne What is your most memorable goal whilst watching Whitburn? Reece Duncan's last minute winner up at Kennoway Star If you could go back and watch one game over again what game would it be? Scottish Cup Final Strangest thing you have seen in the juniors? Roof coming off the changing rooms while Ann and I were in it Covid has been the biggest challenge this year But how has it affected your role and duties within the club? Big time...Not being able to get everything ready for the players in the changing rooms as it has been horrendous having to do it outside. How adaptable have you found the squad in these strangest of times? They players have adapted well under the circumstances What are your hopes for the rest of the season? Hoping to get back up and playing sooner rather than later. Highlights of this season so far? Getting most of last seasons players signed up What’s your long term ambition for Whitburn? To play in the senior league Do you have message to the players? Keep active but stay safe Do you have a message to the support ? I know it has been hard this year but hopefully will see you back at Central Park this year
  20. The old C division of the SFL had reserve teams from the late 40s up to the mid-50s.
  21. No idea how likely it is to pass (I'm skeptical on that) but it would be interesting to see the finer print of the current reconstruction plan in time for next season and what it says about relegation out of the SPFL. The key here is that priority numero uno for the LL is clearly an automatic promotion place into the SPFL rather than which catchment Tayside clubs wind up in:
  22. ^^^It is not my argument. I do not care which way Tayside clubs jump on this as long as they do get into the pyramid one way or the other. I am highlighting what has been posted by patriot1 who appears to have represented St Andrews United in EoS meetings last season and therefore should have some concept of what's going on. There is nothing official from the EoS that I have ever seen that states Luncarty was a special case. That's nothing more than an assertion made by certain "crayon-wielding pyramid planners" on here as far as I can see.
  23. Luncarty getting in this season despite being north of the line is not fantsay.
  24. Didn't see that one coming. Hopefully the jobby is still not going to flush.
