  1. He's preparing people for the worst case scenario. New York City didn't need 30,000 ventilators and the UK didn't need the 10,000 from Dyson, because worst case scenarios usually are not what actually happens.
  2. Clydebank and Kilwinning have been the most hung ho about the pyramid and are very much aiming for licensing (only new cover needed by the former and floodlights secured from York City by the latter) , so it's not necessarily Talbot that will see being in tier 6 straight away as important.
  3. You need to relegate three more than that to be able to promote the three conference champions from tier 7 and reach sixteen the following season.
  4. Not confirmed yet but all the indications are pointing in that direction.
  5. Probably all boils down to full member clubs not wanting extra money spent to hire more staff to do the discipline for games involving non-full members.
  6. Cumbo explained it on the last page. Other Tayside clubs could apply because there is no rule preventing that from happening but the EoS clubs are also fully within their rights to reject them.
  7. Harthill Royal vs St Anthony's. What could possibly go wrong? The irony is that the twelve month notice rule that junior blazers tried to hold over the heads of clubs leaving for the EoS would actually apply in this case for clubs changing region.
  8. Have been arguing the merits of a pyramid for a lot longer than that on here and think some of the reactions to the change in format on conferences are a bit over the top. People have a tendency to see dark conspiracies when the real explanation is incompetence and cock up.
  9. Forget where I read it but have seen it claimed that the LL thought the SFA would be willing to do the discipline on four WoS conferences next season as a one off in exchange for not doing it on U-20 league games.
  10. Technically west of the Tay in their case before anyone gets pedantic but their registered ground being slightly north of the club 42 playoff rulr boundary provides a glimmer of hope for Dundee clubs.
  11. Correction to 58 as two were postponed but your point about how impressive it is for a part time club still stands.
  12. It may not necessarily be 38 games. They could play 19 and split top and bottom for another 9 games. I'm sure the fixtures people could easily work that out. It'll all depend on when we can get started. 2 × 10 sections. Play teams in your own section home and away and teams in the other section once home or away. That gives 28 games with 14 home and 14 away for each club.
  13. All that info was discussed at length in the future of junior football thread at the time.
  14. Looks like 60 competitive games to me on a quick count through, which puts 38 into its proper perspective if there are fewer cups and more midweek floodlight use.
  15. Hopefully the silent majority out there see it this way:
  16. Notice the statement is now signed off by Dave McKenna rather than George Fraser. Which club does he come from?
  17. Is that not 2 conferences? They're no allowed People are speculating on what they would do if the season started as late as January. At that point the SFA would probably be more flexible.
  18. Not if the number of cup games is kept to a minimum. As people keep pointing out though COVID19 could eadily stop the season from starting when it should, so they may have to find another format for the 20 teams.
  19. Maybe won't be as many midtable games as you think if 7 are getting relegated.
  20. There's no way they could get licensed in time so zero chance of it happening. Cancel one of the cups maybe league cup Binning league cup participation was what was being mentioned on here by people who claimed to know what happened in the conference call. Given at least six fixture dates are needed for that with 67 teams on board it's no worse from a fixtures standpoint than having 17 teams with a league cup.
  21. 2 × 10 sections can easily provide either 18 or 28 games if they need to truncate.
  22. The OP is a Kilbirnie Ladeside fan. The thread is only worth bothering with if his club are adopting this posture.
  23. Given Inverkeithing HS and Rossvale will both probably be in tier 6 next season based on merit those sorts of ambitions have to be taken seriously.
