  1. In all honesty, it would be remiss of clubs and their scouts if they weren't keeping tabs on our side at the moment, we've played some scintillating football this season with a side rammed with youngsters.
  2. I'm talking about winning the league, finishing 4th will not cause an unusual number of locals to attend.
  3. It'll only be a possibility if we're serious title contention, don't see us lasting the pace myself, others have deep pockets that we can only dream of.
  4. The system is good for those that know it exists(with a few tweaks still needed). I don't expect my end of season scenario to become relevant but I'd still be looking to solve it just in case. It'll not affect me as I'll just put all my details in again when I want to attend.
  5. If we're still in with a big shout with a few games left I'd expect the number in the Ayr end could rise significantly, a large number won't have been to Somerset this season.
  6. You'll have to hope we're not making a serious title challenge with 3 or 4 games to go, you're assuming that all our walk ups know the score and choose to go through that process, I don't believe that's the case. You'll need a plan E and F then as none of those resolve the situation that arose on Saturday.
  7. We had 200/300 walk ups on Saturday. According to Robbo's earlier post about processing times that number isn't great for our system. I'm sure the performance of the team lessened any angst most walk ups had about their entry, proof that we need a plan B or C just in case is another bonus.
  8. 1. I'm not doubting that it's far easier for the percentage that go cashless, I had a brick until this year, there's no way my personality would have me queueing up every fortnight at the office and that's me watching football that deserves a full Somerset. 2. Getting soaked in summer attire holds no interest for me, I was only attending to see what we looked like, qualifying out of the group was not as important to me as it was for the club or some other fans, I thought our team were shagged by this time last season due to cup games. While I'm not a fan of cashless, I am glad that we've chosen a system that doesn't generally f**k fans around. I'm also s Sunderland fan, they've been cashless for a long while and it was always easy to pick up my tickets there.
  9. I'll see a hundred tackles like that or worse this season that don't receive a card.
  10. Indeed, I purchased my ticket at around 3pm in the big lay-by at Sandyford, it's not as easy as pay at the gate but it is a good system (tweaks needed aside) for cashless, Livi was a shambles made bearable due to it being a lovely evening, I'd have been back down the road if it was pouring that night.
  11. They'll be delighted they missed a chunk of the game.
  12. I've very seldom criticised in recent seasons, I find the "no cash under any circumstances" bizarre when obviously there has been no serious thought given to the whatifs that happen, hopefully that system is working properly 24/7.
  13. They could have had a cash gate, they expected 800 and got that number, the rest is our fault, you either change a ticket gate to cash, have one doing both or a director manning a cash gate. Even better if we'd actually thought of the whatifs when we were going with this system but hey ho, I'm just a fat bawbag that hasn't appreciated being fucked about at quite a few away grounds.
  14. Yesterday's situation wasn't our fault, how we dealt with it was, no point comparing apples and oranges.
  15. Yes, and a lot of Partick fans missed a fair chunk of our scintillating football.
  16. It definitely is being taken seriously now, the board knows that hundreds of Jags fans were outside at kick off.
  17. My suggestion of a cash gate was specifically for yesterday once it became apparent that Partick fans hadn't purchased tickets, doing nothing should not have been an option never mind the only option.
  18. Would be great fun watching the pished ones trying to purchase a ticket on their phone.
  19. It was you that said it takes 45 seconds per terminal, obviously there will be multiple tickets on the same transaction. We obviously processed a few hundred less than was required between half 2 and 3. Banks are open on a Saturday, a wee float would have been easy to acquire long before kick off. Ayr maybe needs some dissenting voices in and about the place at times.
  20. Any more than 160 after half 2 was going to f**k it up, to claim Ayr didn't know is pretty poor Imo.
  21. A cash gate should have been an option yesterday as Ayr knew they were fucked long before fans started arriving, that's not a ticketing issue, that's an attitude problem.
