  1. Its a case of journalism by numbers - what will i do for my column this week? Ill regurgitate old shit other people have said, ignoring more current information and spend the rest of the week at the bookies. Gilmour backtracked on his comments, saying actually it wasnt as bad as it first looked (surprise surprise), so the column isnt even meaningful when the main basis for it is his quote.
  2. Sorry, I didnt read the full thing, I was assuming it was like the bbc presenters thing where they had their own companies to reduce their tax burden.
  3. To be fair to the guy, its not really. Its just one was people trying to avoid paying as much tax as they can, the other is a company doing the same, if both are ruled illegal then they are the same. Players/People will be penalised (as we see here by having their case thrown out), companies doing it penalised by being made to pay tax, if it was a non footballing company then there wouldnt be any hoo hah about cheating, its just a vehicle for reducing tax either way.
  4. I was basing it on a best case scenario really for them, anyone you speak to says they are buying a season ticket to support them, whether they do or not is another matter.
  5. Yeah, but they dont have the tv money but have reduced wages. As stated above, they have a range of season tickets, I took 350 as an estimate since most are about £315 from what they said on RM.
  6. I did 50,000 season tickets at an average of 350, since they have a range of season tickets, from about 300 up to 800 +. Sally and his backroom staff will be on 3-400,000 between them all, if not more, not to mention Jardine and the scouts etc - there still is the existing group of players who are still on their old contracts - Bocanegra, Edu and co will all be on over 10k a week. A million a month is a reasonable guestimate for the football related side not included in the running of the club (given that it would be 1/3 to 1/4 of what it used to be, as we were told cutting of 75% -50% on players salary was saving over a million at the start of administration).
  7. I guess it depends how long they will be playing the game for. If the figures we are told are correct their running costs for the ground and training area is 1m a month - say they run with a 20 man squad all on about 5 grand average - thats another million a month - in the third division lowering costs you could be looking at 2.5-3m - 36m a year say. Season tickets could bring in 15-20m - other sponsorship i dont know, maybe 2 or 3 million? If they go with a decent squad they will be losing about 10m a year, could be more, could be less, how much more would they get when back in the SPL - you know they cant make anything for 4 years so its gotta be at least 50m they are in the hole before they start making money, unless they run on a very cheap squad, in which case they could be in a good position when they come back, will they take the risk and do that? Unlikely, the orcs wont let them.
  8. Yeah, on second thoughts, that would possibly be even funnier than them not being in, being a half star team
  9. http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=232886 The realisation sets in that they are now a diddy club. They will only get 72k in total for winning the third division at most for the season based on them providing all the content. On the surface it is pretty harsh, if they are shown every game you would expect them to be paid for that, on the other hand its hugely funny that the orcs will be inconvenienced with horrible kick off times when one of the things they were looking forward to was 3pm games on a saturday every week.
  10. For every boycott they threaten, we should threaten two boycotts if they get in and other third division teams dont.
  11. Worth looking back to poor old Leggo when Whyte took over for a few laughs while we are in a dry spell. http://leggoland2.blogspot.co.uk/2011_05_07_archive.html <-- The day after the takeover "Confounding the enmies of Rangers should be one of the first tasks for Craig Whyte now that he has confounded his critics." http://leggoland2.blogspot.co.uk/2011_05_10_archive.html <--- ONE of the many things Rangers supporters should be be glad of, now that Craig Whyte owns the club, is that he is a Bluenose. Funnily enough he's binned all the anti BBC stuff from when the first Whyte documentary aired.
  12. Sky one just now in Glasgow, woman overdoses on Valium, when they get there, you guessed it she's wearing a rangers top, obviously it was all too much for her.
  13. Anyone else sussed that Di Stefano is working for Stuart Regan and Neil Doncaster as the last chance saloon?
  14. Sitting in the pub last night, minding my own business. When in comes this very attractive girl, wearing not only a Sevco top but a scarf also. She then proceeds to give me the glad eye for half an hour, before bringing me a pint of lager and chatting me up for another half hour........Finally she said to me 'fancy taking me home?'..... I said 'sorry hen, but you're not in my league'
