  1. Today has been amazing

    1) Rangers demoted to diddy club.

    2) The kick in the baws that the punishments will still happen

    3) The hilarity at the reaction from said Zombie supporters, how many times did they think it was all going to be okay and were happy slapping each other and how they would get their retribution?

Absolutely fantastic, a dream of a day for the diddy fan, id be careful of taunting any of the orcs in person, they have gone from being a wounded animal to one who's been mortally wounded.

I think its fair to say in the 5 stages of acceptance, they have truly hit ANGER.

  2. I think you are giving the Orcs more credit than they merit, and the St Mirren fans less phlegmatism than they deserve.

Rangers fans aren't exactly known for lateral thinking. All they will see is "Mongo see Gilmour say Rangers relegation bad. Mongo like Gilmour. Mongo like St Mirren until Big Hoose back in Premier!"

As for St Mirren fans, they've seen the support melt like snow off a dyke when down in the 2nd Division and reappear once back in the SPL. Been there before, and know that fair-weather fans is something you just have to live with, even if you don't like it - especially when you are the orcs nearest neighbours.

Our crowds didnt change that much from the first to the SPL, a small home increase but the majority of gates being increased from away supporters of SPL clubs.

  3. Remember what I said before about all those "St Mirren/Partick Thistle Are Magic, Rangers Are Tragic" badges back in the 80s?

He's playing to the audience, or rather all those distraught Renfrewshire orcs looking for an excuse to support a bigger team until the Master Race are back in the SPL. One man's misfortune is another's opportunity...

If he had abstained or accepted newco in the SPL you might have a point, instead all that is happened is he alienated Rangers support for the future, then in turn has just alienated a huge part of our own support.

  4. What a t*t...

Firstly, they've done great good to Scottish football, by saving it from complete disgrace and fan disillusionment.

Secondly, it was a nest of sh*te thrown at them by SPL - including St Mirren.

Cant really describe how disappointing his comments are, I was set to goto Carlisle to follow the team in a few weeks, Im now considering spending a year watching football on the TV until the fans buyout finally happens - i dont think its an overreaction to say for everything good Gilmour has done for my club he has undone nearly everything with this comment.

    An utter embarrassment.

  5. Charles Paterson of Sky just Tweeted that the possible re-admittance of Rangers newco into the SPL is also on the agenda. As is talk of an SPL 2.

The thing is, if they put them in the SPL, then its even worse than the original vote, and any SPL chairman moaning that the SFL did the wrong thing, then you shouldnt have voted to not admit them in the first place, which is ridiculous if you went along with the proposed stitch up which is what it seems clubs like Inverness (and probably my own club) have done.

  6. Maybe we have all been completely naive in the thought that chairmen voting for Rangers out would mean there was some integrity, but with teams like Motherwell and Killie who would undoubtedly goto the wall if the worst was to happen and the TV deal went to pot, was there ever any doubt that we would all be stitched up?

At the start if you had told me Rangers would be in the first division Id have probably taken it but now, it would seem a huge injustice and while it might keep the clubs going, make no mistake about it, we are a soiled product from now on if this goes ahead.

While the things they are proposing are a step up from what we have had its still a crappy compromise and I would hope that if it does happen, the clubs can vote in a bigger league while Rangers are out of it, make it 16 teams and have it more interesting for everyone involved, thats about the only way they can save things, even if they opened up to another 6 or 8 non league teams and we had 3 divisions of 16, or 14, 16, 16 it would have been a step in the right direction and a reasonable compromise.

As it stands, we are all going to feel stitched up far worse than ever before with this mess, as much as I dislike Rangers, I really have no burning desire to see them eradicated, Ive even felt sympathy with some of the fans but they will be completely insufferable should this come to pass and it should not now, not ever be fixed so that they are treated differently than any other club.

  7. The rules and regulations for TUPE are freely available. All you have to do is Google it and there are loads of sources.

    http://www.out-law.com/page-448

"Employees therefore have the legal right to transfer to the new employer on their existing terms and conditions of employment and with all their existing employment rights and liabilities intact "

But Green obviously has not even discussed this or explained it to those effected. And it is not just the payers. I think there were about 300 staff.

So why has Green not don't this? Ignorance? Unable to use Google? No lawyers or HR professionals to advise him? Doubt any of these.

My view is he is doing it so the players do walk and as many staff as he can encourage to go. He will throw his hands in the air and weep and wail, but the highly paid players walking away is an obvious consequence.

He ends up with Ibrox, Murray Park and the legendary car park, no SPL place, probably no SFL place, and a clutch of kids and has beens like McCullough. Unable to bring in new players.

At this point he will say they are not going to play in any league, transfer the assets to another company he owns and wind it up Sevco. He will be able to do this and pay all the liabilities of SEVCO for not a lot.

So his property company ends up with the things that are worth a bit and sellable. Maybe issues with Murray Park and SportsScotland though.

Green will be able to blame everyone else. The SFA, SPL clubs, SFL clubs, the players who walked. Everyone except himself.

So let us see if he gets his application in by Friday. If not he either has no consortium or one made up of those who are not fit and proper. Or no money.

By Friday evening we should know if complete closure as a football club is happening.

This makes me very excited :)

  8. I can understand Rangers fans being upset that all their best players are leaving for nothing, what I cant understand is the bitterness directed towards these guys, do they seriously expect players of International calibre to stick around and play in the lower divisions? Its nonsense. They would all do the same, anyone who stays will be doing so with an agenda, that they cant afford to leave because they wont get a better contract.

These are the guys the anger should be directed at, not the guys who are leaving, its doing them a favour.
