  1. Pollok 2-4 Hurlford.

Great bang for your buck at Newlandsfield as always. Only went for the first time in April at the arse end of last season, and I’ve now seen 27 goals across that and the 4 other games I’ve been to this season. Pollok missed a penalty at 1-1, after which Hurlford went onto dominate despite Pollok getting an equaliser with 20 to go.

How many pens have we conceded this season just out of interest feels like it’s in double figures?

Feel as if I’ve been saying this all season - it’s an absolute disgrace how many we give away. Today was the worst of the lot however.

We are not winning another game all season - every single mistake seems to cost us. Contriving a way to lose that is unforgivable.

ETA - I thought the ref gave some baffling decisions in our favour today and we still made a c**t of it.

This season I'm going to all 42 SPFL clubs in one season, and for that I'm only counting competitive first-team games, obviously.

How many of the 42 had you done before this season and are you counting them towards your total or just starting from scratch? Also, for the likes of NDP and Ochilview - will you be going to 2 games at these grounds to account for ground sharing arrangements? Not digging you up btw, just curious .

Original story with Finnart was a pitch on Glasgow Green or more precise Fleshers Haugh.

If the city go pro the locals then the Clyde gig is a no no having spent 95% of their history outside the city.

Can’t believe it’s 136 years since Clyde left Glasgow. Feels like yesterday.

  5. Looks to me as though there’s been bad blood between the two prior to this - I found it quite odd how Cowan would not let the ‘false accusation’ stuff go on Instagram. There was absolutely no need for him to get involved at all.

I suspect he’ll try and nip it in the bud with an apology, but I think how it ultimately pans out will come down to how other people in the media react. I can think of a few people who normally talk a good game on social media about this sort of stuff but are also more than happy to go on OTB regularly.

  6. I would imagine most clubs make a loss having to host games in this tournament so away to Accies is perfect for us. Even if we somehow manage to get through, a semi-final at home would probably attract a bigger crowd than a league game against QoS or Kelty.

It's been 20 years since I actively chose not to go to a match without there being a family wedding, pandemic or the like.

Still watched the stream though. We didn't seem in any trouble until the red card, or even then until the last ten minutes when we were leaning heavily on the centre halves and Parry. Elgin very poor. Clyde obviously no cutting edge.

Red card was an absolutely terrible tackle. We won't be appealing this one!

Only fair you’re punted to the back of the queue for tickets for the final.

Got my five-match ticket. First game is at 2pm on Saturday - Result! The other four are 7.45 on Tuesdays, including the probable hiding v Engerlundland.

Strangely don’t mind the midweek games, but the 7.45pm on a Sunday isn’t sitting right with me at all for some reason even though it allows for a couple of pints in the afternoon.

There’s also a lower league card on the day of the Cyprus game which is mildly annoying.

Why was broadwood such a millstone round our necks when two lowland league teams can afford to play there, one in particular with no support to speak of? That just seems an easy line to excuse our failure to compete.

I wonder if season ticket sales include the £5 child ones. That’s a great offer and a lot of people would buy that as it costs £5 to get into a single match for a child anyway. Could be wrong on attendances as I haven’t crunched the numbers but it doesn’t seem all that busy and stand looks particularly empty in some of the highlights seeing it from the far side.

If you look at the crowds for the home games against the likes of Montrose, Alloa etc to the corresponding fixture at Broadwood last season then they’re broadly similar. That being said, if you take away the games against clubs with decent travelling supports, the numbers we’re getting is precariously low and have been for a long time. Being able to pay the Season Tickets in instalments was a decent initiative but other than that there seems to be very little effort to get people to come along.

Folk can say what they want about OG Broomhill and their bubble may well burst but within 6 months of moving to Broadwood they’ve have crowds of 1000+ on a few occasions, something we really struggled to do. Obviously your man Ferry is a huge part of that and they’re clearly hooring themselves out to Old Firm fans, but fair fucks to them for trying something different. Even a few extra social media posts during the week of a home game whilst the Premiership is on a break for the WC would’ve been a start. People are being priced out of going to games at the top level and we should be using it to our advantage but instead we’re being shown up by teams 2 divisions below.

Question for any of the brave souls who attended; Did Duffy have McLean or anyone on the bench with him today

You couldn’t really see the dugouts from where we were sitting. I did notice someone walking back to the dugout with Duffy for the start of the 2nd half I didn’t immediately recognise, but we were miles away.

Quite strange walking away from EEP absolutely seething at only getting a point. The penalty situation is ridiculous - good players don’t give them away as consistently as we do. Giving ourselves absolutely no chance.

Classic Duffy in his post match interview. We absolutely should be disappointed in chucking away a 2 goal lead, doesn’t really matter a f**k who it’s against.

  11. Caledonian Braves 3-1 Civil Service Strollers.

Never thought I’d say this about another ground having had a season ticket at Broadwood for years watching Clyde, but that was up there with the coldest I’ve ever been at a football match.

Braves well worth the win - I expected a bit more from CSS (not based on much other than their lofty league position to be fair) but was quite disappointed, although their goal was an absolute cracker.

    Entry: Free

    Bovril: £1

    Cheap night out.

  12. Clyde have lost 11 league matches in a row which is apparently our worst run since the 70s. It got me wondering who holds the record for the most consecutive losses? I immediately thought Brechin City, who in 2017/18 went an entire season without recording a win - but according to Wikipedia their longest losing run that season was 16 matches. Clyde’s next 3 league fixtures are against Dunfermline (A), Falkirk (H), and Edinburgh (H) who currently occupy the top 3 spots followed by Peterhead (A) where we generally lose, then Alloa (H) so I reckon there’s a good chance we’ll at least match Brechin’s run.

Are there any examples of teams beating Brechin’s losing streak? East Stirlingshire in the early 2000s perhaps?

Yes could see them coming in.

I’d file Darren Young and Gary Bollan in that similar vein of available and level we could get in

Darren Young would be a bit stupid to leave Stirling for Clyde given they are looking good to replace us in L1 next season.

As for Kettlewell, I reckon he had one eye on taking over the first team from Stevie Hammell eventually when he took the Academy role at Motherwell. I don’t even think we’d convince him even if he was still out of work tbf.

I have a feeling that it’s Moore’s if he wants it.

    Bollan, Grant and Duffy 🤮
