  1. Hes actually a right back. Pretty sure I remember searching up on how long Balatoni had signed up for, and Thomson in this case had extended his contract around the same time and it mentioned his position. There - http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/articles/20100114/two-more-starlets-sign-up_2241384_1932234
  2. Third race at Ffos Las, 1/5 favourite now turned over.
  3. Going to sound like a broken record here, but it makes you wonder about the integrity of racing when you have results that.
  4. 80/1 shot just took that race and the 1/4 favourite was nae where.
  5. http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php/topic/60895-jags-lose-2-0-to-montrose/ The effects of a pre-season defeat to Montrose.
  6. Scott Waites by the way also lost to Matt Padgett in a UK Open preliminary round match a couple of years ago, horses for courses really.
  7. Do they still do the pie and beans hospitality at Falkirk?
  8. Boyd was a very nervous player when he was here, I wasn't sorry to see him go, and hes matured since. To be fair I hated the Grehan signing for us and his kinda growing on, but as far as I've seen some people won't really give him a chance.
  9. Boyd wasn't terrible at all, nor was he great, but he was a far better player than Morrow.
  10. A reliable source tells me they have the second biggest budget in the league.
  11. Permanently out until further notice. Working till 10 o'clock most Mondays now.
  12. One bet for today and I'm astounded at the price. Shammy Buskins in the 3.45 at Newton Abbot. Currently sitting at a huge 16/1. A very consistent horse who has proven over slightly longer distances - 3m 4f on its last two trips, and its last winning trip 3m 1f it can stay the distance in these races with finishes of 3, 2 and 1 in its last three starts. Those were also class 3 races and from what I can remember the biggest price the horse went off at in any of these three races was 8/1. Jockey Andrew Thornton who is onboard today was also on board in its last three runs. £10 e/w.
  13. Strachan is training with Queens. I walked by him in town the otherday about 3 o'clockish as he was walking away from the Green up towards the centre of town, he was carrying a big nike sports bag.
  14. Slightly OT, but does anyone on here subscribe to Racing UK? Really thinking about getting it and I find myself watching a lot of racing anyway even when I've not got a bet on, so I'd get my viewers worth out of it. Value for money? I see that days like tomorrow they have no meeting being shown and aside from Live coverage they just tend to show repeats with no news or preview shows like ATR.
  15. Hendo was a good floor player in the BDO in the same way Peter Wright is in the PDC. I seem to remember him winning one of those BDO tournaments on Setanta beating Anderson in the final. The fact you only come up with four names out of how many hundred players play in the system just shows how poor the strength in depth it is, and exactly why I refer to it as a a challenge tour. Top average at Lakeside this year, 94, three averages below 90 in the semi finals, two 85 averages, which wouldn't get you out of the first round of a televised PDC tournament 9/10 times.
  16. Eh....Wright isn't even a top 32 PDC player and Hamilton, well, hes been a consistent top 16 player for donkeys and could easily mix it with the top end players in the BDO. Hes consistently been a 90+ average man in tv tournaments down the years, even breaking 100 on occasion.
  17. If you are good enough you will make it regardless. The PDC do not own a living to anyone. What darts needs though is to be streamlined, which the BDO shot down when they rejected the bid from Barry Hearn without even getting into any sort of discussion. Luckily its kinda starting to work out that the BDO is becoming almost like a challenge tour where players can get a bit of experience under their belt before they join the big boys if of course they are good enough.
  18. Take it you're heading down? http://www.racingpost.com/horses/course_home.sd?crs_id=13 - All you need there I'd imagine.
  19. Like setting up a youth tour? Like offering to stick 1 million quid in youth and county darts? All while the BDO of course plough a lot of time and money into darts. All they care about is their petty little agendas and maroon blazers.
  20. Oh the BDO will be around alright. They'll still be there squirming in their little corner while theres enough jobbers for Adams to beat every year....
  21. Brighton turned in one of the worst performances I've ever seen from a centre forward when we beat Stirling 3-0. Injuries have pretty much wrecked him.
  22. Apparently Queens were after the one from Albion Rovers who claimed he had fell out of love with the game or whatever. The one from Alloa is Nizzy's lovechild. I always thought he was a good player at Clyde, no idea how he lost his way.
