  1. If breathing on a Peterhead player causes them to go down clutching their knee for two minutes, I'd expect any "mauling" of to result in the player's death or at minimum, full body paralysis
  2. Re. EGM The petitioners have to bring something to the table, an alternative to the current board, a different vision. It's not good enough to call a EGM merely to throw out the current board and chairman and offer nothing positive.
  3. It'll be interesting to see if McLean is much more vocal on the touchline now that Duffy has gone.
  4. Like others I have little interest in Connor Duthie one he left the club l. However, I disagree he in some way owed Clyde loyalty once his injury was over. We shouldn't forget, just like Easton, he was injured playing for Clyde. He and Easton owed us nothing.
  5. This question is always unanswered. Who takes over? It needs answered. Who takes over?
  6. Has Duffy ever spoken directly to Clyde fans? Has he ever attended a fan meeting or an online Q&A? A director of football at a fan owned club who never speaks to fans.
  7. I realise now why Brian McLean always sounded so depressed. He knew his management career was ending before it even started. A victim of Duffyball
  8. So we should appoint a temporary board? Who would that be? They should sack Duffy and appoint a new manager. They should give this new manager extra funds and then the board should just walk away with no responsibility for the medium or long term future of the club. Who would then deal with the SPFL? Who would deal with sponsors? Who would deal with the SFA? Who would deal with suppliers? Who would deal with issues raised by the new manager? Who deals with player registrations? Unfortunately, we're stuck with the current board until others put their heads above the parapet.
  9. The reappointment of Duffy as director of football was marketing suicide. How many supporters failed to renew knowing that Duffy was returning? What excitement does he bring. Even Brian McLean sounds suicidal pre and post match. I know of no Clyde fans who genuinely believes Duffy is no longer "managing" the team. He's been, up until yesterday, directing players on the field whilst head coach McLean sits in silence. It didn't happen yesterday because fans flagged it up last week but McLean still stayed silence standing on the touch line. Do our young squad not need guidance from pitch side from our coach? McLean, according to our chairman, lacks enough experience to fully undertake match day team matters and needs the guiding hand of our director of football. My question would be, why then did we give the position of head coach to someone currently unable to do the job unaided. Was there no one better or would other candidates refuse to take part in the "head coach/director of football" charade? It's nuts. Not to mention Parry, Cameron, Rennie, Lyons, all fullbacks at the club, the nursery department and Fatty Forbes.
  10. I've just watched our head coach state "we're still trying to find the best system to play with the players we've got." Surely that's the wrong way round. I'd suggest the director of football should be signing the best players to play to the system he's chosen for the team.
  11. Did Brian McLean turn up in the fan zone after the match?
  12. Why would the chairman lie about an investment? As you say, it will appear in the accounts. It would be suicidal for a chairman to make such false claims so easily disproven in time. It's my opinion it's more likely the chairman's investment statement is much more likely to be true than any potential takeover by unknown, shadowy figures who seem to have been sitting on their hands for the years and have never raised their heads above the parapet. Simply put, I don't think they even exist.
  13. As long as we make sure the money is in our bank account before we spend it. Promises mean nothing. Once burnt twice shy. Good news though. A wee question occurred to me regarding our prospects. When was the last time any Duffy team were promoted?
  14. I don't know why you keep saying "we". You're not a Clyde fan. Most Clyde fans can see you for what you are. You're simply a troll. And a fucking boring one at that. To genuine Clyde fans, I'd suggest we ignore this saddo's posts. I'll certainly be doing that after this post. Hopefully, he'll bugger off back to his own team's board and stink that out.
  15. To be honest, I'd rather have Olly McDonald. That is, if he remains unsigned by anyone.
  16. Go on then. Give us some positive Clyde vibes. Personally, I could do with some.
  17. The CIC model doesn't work for a club of our size. There just isn't a big enough pool of talent to maintain high quality in all required fields. Like many other (the majority?) I consider my "ownership" fee a donation to the club. I do not have the knowledge or skills to hold the board to account nor to offer any kind of skill set that may be beneficial to the club. Hence, I suppose I'm part of the problem.
  18. We'd be nuts to offer him a deal just as a decision on Crownpoint is ongoing. Will someone at the club actually look at optics and how are club is viewed nationwide after the re-signing of Goodwillie. If Crownpoint is in the balance we certainly don't want another "scandal" to tip the balance against us. Add to that a player with his limited ability certainly isn't worth it.
  19. Have the length of contacts for Jim Duffy and Brian McLean ever been disclosed by the club?
  20. Is anyone actually excited about this upcoming season? I'm definitely not. Then again, I am a right miserable bugger.
  21. Right enough, trauma therapy is very expensive.
  22. Even as late as last season there were plenty of Clyde supporters still chanting in support of Danny Lennon. In my opinion, we the fans, enabled the board to give Lennon an extension based on the emperor's new clothing.
  23. It's amazing many Clyde players were so bad we'll remember them for many decades to come. Especially as we've had huge swathes of instantly forgotten shite players.
  24. Fwiw, Robert Jones or Phil Johnston were both much worse than Cameron. Not an opinion. Fact
  25. So Clyde not only signed a player who hasn't been fully fit for a couple of years, we also gave him an eighteen month contract to boot?
