  1. I've no problem your view. However, it's annoying when posters make continual references to internal club dealings. If it's speculation say that. Don't state things as fact when it's not.
  2. To me, some people on this forum seem to know much more than others eg who's involved, proposals being made, monies available etc. I've no idea about anything as I'm just a punter. However, can people "in the know" actually be open about the facts and stop using innuendo, hints and slurs and just be up front and explain to us ordinary folk what's happening. I still don't know the point of Stephen Tennant's post. It's an island of randomness in an ocean of nothingness.
  3. I did wonder that. Why doesn't he say that if that's the case?
  4. Yeah, I found it after your post. Thanks. Saw someone with that name as a member of the group too. I stand by the rest of my post though. If this person is genuine, I'm astonished at his arrogance to assume others know who he is. He gives absolutely no information on his background. It further news, It also turns out the Russian woman was a bearded pipe smoker called Wilf. We had a lovely evening though. However, I wasn't convinced by his accent.
  5. Man comes on here. Man that many haven't even heard off. Man may be an alias. Man makes non specific statement that says nothing Man invites Clyde fans to look at non existent Facebook page Man invited questions but won't be answering as he can't be arsed logging in regularly. Excuse me for being cynical. This man may even be an attractive Russian woman who lives in my area and wants no strings sex.
  6. Broadwood is sucking us dry financially. We start with a negative balance every season just paying rental for it with little control of what the money is spent on. Just look at the broken seats, floodlight failure, leaking roofs, excessive stewarding, unable to park outside stadium, bmx cycling events et al? This is is the elephant in the room that effects everything else within the club. £35000 with relatively little income streams from it cannot be sustained. The CIC pales in comparison as a contributory factor to our demise. Maybe other teams have maintenance costs but they also keep all income generated and decide their own priorities. Should we keep paying for 7000 unused seats in two stands never used? Incidently, it's like a morgue on a Saturday with respect to atmosphere.
  7. Is it not possible that he did not put money in himself but brought money to the club via his contacts and his higher profile? Also some people suggested on here that once Ferguson left Clyde, David Douglas would help bring additional sponsorship. Is this not true? Incidently, these do not reflect a viewpoint. I have no idea of the answers to the above questions
  8. Unfortunately this isn't bared out by the fact that these players were resigned in May of last year. Long before the transfer window closed. It would seem to me that he was eager to have them in his squad again. All of these players were shit last season too. Also their consistent selection when not performing shows that Ferguson was blind to their failings. Why not play Flynn for example? Ultimately it contributed to his failure at Clyde.
  9. Would you rather the club said "with great joy" and " don't let the door hit your arse on the way out" ? Most clubs would say "reluctantly" when accepting a resignation whether it's true or not.
  10. Is he a really good manager or is the success due to bags of money?
  11. I'm sorry it didn't work out for Ferguson. You can't fault the effort he put in. Unfortunately, he didn't have the managerial talent. I still wish him luck in the future as I did most Clyde managers that left (except John Clark and John Brown)
  12. Sad man with an empty life. Continue at Langside college, you may make some friends there eventually. You just need to try harder. Maybe you'll even get a girlfriend one day.
  13. I didn't say that there is no difference in ability between managers. My view is that the managerial deficit was not the reason for players not being able to control the ball, tackle or shoot on target. A manager can only pick the players in his squad. Ferguson filled his squad with too many poor players. This season, any new manager of Clyde can only select from the current squad. He may make a difference but I don't think it will be significant. However, I hope I'm wrong and any new manager gets the team going well.
  14. Much as I think Ferguson is a poor manager and very poor tactically, the players have for the most part been a disgrace. Ferguson didn't make Johnston get turned inside out regularly. He didn't make Gormley bounce the ball 20 feet away when trying to control a pass. Not to mention Higgins, McNiff, Gibson and McLaughlin's performances. Ferguson crime was picking bad players every week. That was a major part of his hopeful downfall. A new manager will not make a difference to these players. They simply lack talent. You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
  15. Please no more picking managers as they were good players. Pick a manager on merit as a manager. Someone ambitious with managerial experience. The will be plenty of applications for the Clyde job when it arises. As for Ferguson's resignation, I'll wait until it's confirmed
  16. I'll give you that one. However, I believe Mulraney was an Alloa fan beforehand. So he already had an emotional tie to the club. Are there similar wealthy Clyde fans waiting to invest and buy. How much is their success due to good choices of manager? I can't argue that Alloa have been relatively successful.
  17. How many smaller teams in Scotland have been bought by private individuals or companies (not fan groups) in the last 10 years and have went on to greater things?
  18. This is what I don't understand when people suggest putting the club up for sale. In theory, the club is always up for sale to any buyer with a plan and vision accepted by the members.
