  1. Yup, Bain's not going to be here forever. If Mitchell is good enough, then he has a good opportunity. Also Bain has been injured twice this season already so he might get other chances whilst Bain is here.
  2. Someone just told me that. A swap with Scott Robertson. So total pish.
  3. Agreed, Dyer deserved a shot this season. He was an important part last season, particularly towards the end of the season. He's had his shot though and not particularly impressed. Time for him to move on.
  4. Players like Clarkson and Heffernan wouldn't have come any cheaper than the guys Dundee are bringing in. They've signed 3 lower league players, a guy that can't get a game for Aberdeen and a guy that can't get a game in League 1 in England. Dundee have bigger crowds than most teams in the league and they've consolidated a good position in their first season back. It is hardly reminiscent of the Bonetti days.
  5. I thought he was pretty good against Aberdeen at Pittodrie, up until the penalty he gave away. My Dons supporting pals seemed to agree. Might be a player there yet. As said above, his shortfalls may be down to language issues.
  6. According to the Speroni Testimonial Twitter, the first half will be current players, whilst the second will be former players. Suppose he just counts as a former player as he was at Dundee as a youth
  7. Great stuff from Dundee. Hartley Is Dundee's biggest asset. I hope he stays for a good few years yet. I really get the impression he is going to transform this club, and he is already well through the process.
  8. According to the Express, Hartley wants to keep Alex Harris. Not up or down on this either way. He's decent enough. I just hope there is no transfer fee involved.
  9. Hope the Tank comes back soon. I think he was starting to come onto a game of sorts, and particularly impressed against Celtic. Harkins' return is even more important though.
  10. The newest Joey Bada$$ album is pretty good. Would recommend.
  11. Roberts is frustrating. There is definitely a player there. We've seen it against Celtic and St Johnstone. I think he was/is worth the gamble. He could be a very good player, but he's mentally not there. After almost a year at Dens, I'm not sure he ever will be.
  12. Wouldn't be convinced by Webster to be honest. I realise he was good across the road a few years ago but don't think he has particularly impressed at Coventry in recent times. That said, he has injury history so fits the Dundee criteria.
  13. Aberdeen date switch is a shambles. I'm on holiday over the weekend and was looking forward to seeing the game on Monday.
  14. The accounts are up until 31 April 2014. I suspect that it won't include £405k prize money for winning the league. I expect it will even out this season.
  15. Stay in the top 6 and 5th place would be a possibility. That would be an incredible season. Still think 7th is most likely.
  16. Great beer. Inveralmond are the best in Scotland in my opinion
  17. No idea what Pearson is like nowadays to be honest. Could be a Clarkson or could be a Stephen Hughes. Apparently, he has played more minutes in the Indian Super League than any other player, so there doesn't seem to be any current injury issues.
  18. Think this is a good move. He needs first team experience and I don't think he's quite there at Dens yet.
  19. Dundee have a terrible record against Aberdeen at Dens. However, the last time Dundee reached the final of the Scottish Cup, they beat Aberdeen in the 4th Round at Dens. History repeating itself would be good.
  20. When the speculation came out, I was thinking who could possibly replace him. I really thought about it and I realise that Hartley is as good an appointment as was realistically possible. I genuinely believe this guy could really establish Dundee again, in a similar fashion to what Levein did across the road. It is unbelievable how far the club has progressed on all levels since this time last year,
  21. BBC Wales Twitter saying he's out of the running for it.
  22. Hartley comes out tomorrow and Friday and says he's committed to Dundee and there's a massive boost. Too hopeful?
  23. I'd be stunned if Clarkson signed. Less stunned than I was last season when Nade signed, mind you.
  24. It depends what sort of "staff member" he's signed up to become. If he's cleaning the toilets, he may prove to be okay
