  1. Or the American habit (or 'abit) of ignoring an aitch - (h)erbal being the one we hear in that awful shampoo ad. Still not as cringeworthy as one Yank talking about an 'istory.
  2. Glaswegians who pronounce December like they are bee - it's not Dezember you tubes. Anyone who's listened regularly to the drink-drive radio adds will see my point. And on the topic of how things are pronounced - the letter J is fucking prounced jay (as in the bird) not jie (rhymes with tie).
  3. The Rangers are the same football club as Rangers.
  4. If the referee hadn't been such a clown we would have won.
  5. Need to bring on Russell for one of the defensive midfielders.
  6. Why are we playing with 2 defensive midfielders st home?
  7. I think McBride did what he had to on Saturday - one chance to Curier and a half chance to Andreu was all they really created. McBride basically had to sit in front of the defence and stop/slow down their attacks - I think he did that pretty effectively. The substitution happened at the right time - Accies were going nowhere and had run out of ideas. Boyle helped create more width and space when he came on - but I don't think he'd have had the same impact starting or coming on earlier - McBride played his part in taking the wind out of Accies sails.
  8. Have also taught: William Wallace Daniel Defoe Glenn Miller Michael Jackson David (Davie) Jones Alice Coupar John(ny) Cash
  9. There's one person called Alexander Alexander in Dundee - of course they get known as Double Ecky.
  10. You can't win games conceding goals like that. All 3 from headers (need to see the second again). All 3 came from down our left. All 3 Letheren rooted to the spot.
  11. I thought that declaration was going to be entirely in Gaelic. No in Western Isles. Game over.
  12. Next declaration and I'm off too (not your bed obviously )
  13. Said to wife that the weather here would put some people off voting. She disagreed. Looks like I was right.
  14. Talking about 10 ballot papers though. Some eejits chancing their arms?
  15. It's been damn difficult as a business teacher - particularly when getting asked about the currency issues. What I've tended to do is explain what the currency options are and to get the pupils to research the pros/cons of each. I think the only opinion I gave was that if there were independence then an independent currency was a distinct possibility in the long run.
  16. Hardest thing was telling them you were not allowed to say which way you were voting.
  17. I heard pupils taking about the vote today. Some who I thought were Yes voters were actually No. Putting aside any personal view I was very impressed by their maturity and eloquence when discussing with their Yes-supporting peers - they actually made a better case than any BT politician I have heard.
