  1. I can understand Sandaza going for the security of a bumper contract for a longer period than we could offer in a division where he'll hardly break a sweat. I'm still fairly dissapointed in him though, he has the potential to play at a much higher level and achieve an awful lot more.

It makes me wonder if there's some truth in the rumours that an imminent reconstruction will shunt The Rangers closer to the top league in the next year or two.

  2. I think so, yes, certainly my view would be they can't pick-n-choose what to keep... one membership and keeping the history means "the same club", but that includes keeping the bad history, including EBTs.

Well, no, that's not how anyone engaging in a discussion above a fairly purile level is suggesting it works, IMO. And for starters Third Lanark's SFA membership ceased to exist so what would you buy?

Well I'm afraid a "purile level" is about my level of understanding I'm afraid. Apologies.

The suggestion is that the history is an "asset" that can be bought or sold. Tart it up any way you want, that just doesn't really stack up. Even at a nuclear physics level of understanding.

  3. I don't care if they inherit the oldcos history or not. But I am extremely perplexed about all of the hullabaloo prior to liquidation. Banners about "no to newco", Sending Bill Miller packing, Charles Green stating on radio that the "history goes" if the CVA isn't agreed and the actual bother of arranging a CVA at all.

Why all that fuss if they just keep the history after liquidating anyway? What was the point?

BTW, how many trophies did third lanark win? Can I buy their history trophy wins and transfer them to the Saintees? Thats how it works right?

  4. I hope Traytor's on Sportsound for a change, we should run a sweep for the number of backtracks he performs or how many time he says "I always said they............" arsehole.

Time for the fans to kick armageddon's arse right into touch.

Now that's enough of that . A terrible way to slander one of the main contributers to the tabloid that "has been setting the agenda" on the Rangers situation.

        ;)

  5. So far the SPL clubs voted to reject a brand new club's entrance to their league, so far the SFL have overwhelmingly voted to allow a brand new club to join their league without even considering applications from eligible clubs of longer standing and they have sold this to the fans by saying hey look guys we never did what our board promised we would ;) . These are the facts until tomorrow, regardless of motivation, these are the facts.

Tomorrow we find out exactly how the SPL chairmen should be viewed, I wont boycott anyone if Scottish football does the wrong thing, I'll just walk away from an institution which is not worthy of my attention, no need for blood letting, anger, wrath or rage. Just turn my back and walk away.

We'll see what tomorrow brings, but I echo your sentiments.

  6. Why should the SFL fans feel proud of their clubs selling out and allowing admittance to a brand new club over established clubs, just because they have a big stadium and promise to bring more knuckle dragging fans to matches?

Because they resisted enormous pressure and bullying to vote them into SFL1. Our chairman couldn't even make a decision, the SFL did. You may not agree with it and you make a good point. But in comparison to our SPL clubs, the SFL have performed comparitively well.

  7. Rubbish The SFL Board were involved in drawing up the propoal to get them in the 1st. It was them that promised a positive result from the SFL clubs and then failed to deliver.

Reread the original post. It was about SFL fans, no mention of an SFL board. The SFL gans have every Right to feel proud of their clubs actually taking a decision that our SPL clubs continuosly shirked. Or do you disagree with that? If so, why?

  8. Why? Would it not be better to wait for the results of the meeting tomorrow to come through before condemning clubs to death? At least ICT and St Mirren have come out and told their fans how they are thinking, giving their fans a chance to contact the clubs and let them know where they stand.

Don't get me wrong, I am finished with ICT and Scottish senior football if there is a stitch up to get Sevco back in but so far, when it has mattered ICT have done what I have asked of them and they have shared their concerns publicly after doing so. If and when they act against justice and integrity I shall act but until then I'll wait and see.

Speaking of Justice and integrity it's amusing how the SFL fans have become so high and mighty lately, your chairmen bottled it when it came to the crunch, all your chairmen bar one voted to profit from Rangers in the SFL, all but one took the stance of justice and integrity. The SPL spoke and the SPL rejected Rangers.

Apparently on the understanding the SFL looked after them for a year. The SFL have done well, they were asked to make an impossible decision not of their making. Yhey didn't f**k about, they did it and they stand by it.

Our SPL chairman? Postponed everything, eventually palming it off to the SFL. The SFL vote a way they don't like and now their threatening a reversal.

The SFL Have every right to hold the moral high ground IMO. We however don't if the rumours about tomorrow are true.

Rangers Fans Ordered To Have 100 Lashings by Spew Rear-gun's Nemesis

    Quote

nosurrendertosfa_200_200.jpgSpew Rear-gun, the Scottish Farcical Association (SFA) diddy Chief Executive, has ordered that all Rangers fans receive 100 lashings for their unwavering support of the resilient Glasgow club. This follows a series of bizarre penalties from the bungling man in charge of Scottish football where his authority appears to be unquestionable regardless of legality.

One such bizarre decision is the announcement on Friday 13 July 2012 in which the NewCo (that means a new company, a new legal entity) are likely to face further punishment due to the OldCo’s (that means, the old legal entity, that has already been punished) problems.

Although there is a clear legal distinction between the two legal entities (OldCo and NewCo) as well as the other legal entity (the individual fan), Mr Rear-gun believes that the 100 lashings should prevent “social unrest” and will protect sporting integrity.

All Scottish clubs have voted in favour of this punishment on the basis that it continues to punish the Rangers community.

The St Mirren board were unanimous in their support of the punishment even though they aware it will destroy their club in the short run.

The Invermess CT board have hailed the new punishment as the correct moral action to take. In other news, Invermess has also called for a Meeting of Creditors to announce that, as a result of their vote, the club will go into administration and may be wound up. Several other clubs including Donedee Utd and Killmarnock, have bypassed the unrealism of administration and announced Section 98 meetings to wind up their club voluntarily. It appears these clubs spent beyond their means depending on the source of income from Rangers – there has been no mention of the buzzword ‘sporting integrity’ by anyone whatsoever.

Rangers’ first fixture of the 2012/12 SFL season kicks off against Peterheed, while the SPL season has been cancelled due to the lack of clubs.

You nicked that from the record didn't you?

  10. Just reckon it would be a decent idea like, eh? Feel free to come up with your own ideas. There is NAE WAY I'm attending shitty 3rd division matches next season. SPL is the only option. Aye, if the mighty Rangers were playing on the roads I'd watch from the pavements, but going to East Stirling is one step too far.

  11. The SPL will attempt to put "Rangers" back in to the top league on Monday. Prepare for a shitstorm like nothing else before. SPL fans and the clubs that are against this have to unite and make Doncaster's position untenable. I fear that this whole sorry saga is about to get even murkier and will turn so many fans away from the game that calls to get behind the clubs like never before will be rendered meaningless by the thousands who will walk away for good.

If that happens then blaming Doncaster only goes so far. Its our clubs chairman that should shoulder any blame really. He works for them.

  12. I can't watch the live feed on the BBC - there are just to many f'ckin thick Rangers fans, they have absolutely zero grip on what's actually happened !!

    You mean like Bawsack here:

Ryan: "Interesting word, integrity. Hearts £30m debt, HMRC winding up orders and failure to pay players. Motherwell in admin receive NO punishment and avoid relegation despite finishing bottom in 2003. Dundee allowed back in SPL despite double admin record. Pacific shelf 595 ltd change their corporate structure in the 90s but nothing is mentioned about that. Meanwhile, Rangers deducted 10 points, kicked out of spl and europe, lose their whole team, fined and that's still not enough punishment. Sporting integrity..."

Because ALL of these things are on the scale as sidestepping £130 million quids worth of debt, pitching up as a shiny new company and pretending all is good in the hood. Also, being kicked out of SPL / Europe and losing your team are NOT punishments. They are the result of sidestepping £130 million quids worth of debt, pitching up as a shiny new company...etc
