  1. Mathematically safe. Three points from fifteen guarantees a playoff spot. Considering that the teams above are a) an established city-based top-league team and b) a country plaything on a ludicrous budget, this has been an astonishing season.
  2. Or create f**k all for 90 minutes and maybe deserve a replay. One league win and eight points in two months.
  3. Falkirk signing an S Lavery, then some guy turning up to literally just start quoting fascism, and then all the usual faces going "lol" is definitely a good look. Even the **** wouldn't get away with that.
  4. It was an oblique reference at the current run of form. Realistically, failure to win at home against a Falkirk side half of whom have already packed their lockers and given their keys back to their landlords would be very troubling indeed.
  5. With that result, Ayr will only be a point off the top after playing their games in hand.
  6. At the same time, this means County are playing to get back to the summit, instead of playing just to close the gap. But being four clear with a game in hand would be magnif.
  7. Given that Edibairn is vocally not a racist, gonna need some qualification on "all" there
  8. That's because there is something to maintain at Somerset. And while the majority of their supporters might drive BMWs, the rugby club are semi-pro. Much like the football team, if they had enough money to go turning Dam Park into the Emirates then they'd be putting it on the playing budget first. As for Shankland: anyone who pays the slightest attention to what the pack of venal alcoholic shitheads that are the Scottish football press has to say about the matter must have been born yesterday. If McCall has any sense he'll have banned him from so much as looking up scores on his phone.
  9. Do people never get bored of asking sweaty local liars in anoraks what gossip they've heard from their inside sources? Dam Park had a fucking water feature next to it the last I looked. Why would moving from a four-sided ground with one stand that is already up to spec to a two-sided ground with one stand that would need completely overhauled be an improvement? Is this an "if you build it they will come" situation? Because Somerset is already one of the largest grounds at this level and tbh I'd be shocked if even at the level above it regularly pushed its current limit. The big problem with Somerset is that the North Terrace is uncovered and there's no way to change that which wouldn't require a) onerous planning permission and b) redevelopment of the hospitality suite. Doing the latter might bring in more money long-term, but for the time being it would be bananas.
  10. I was kidding around. There's absolutely no point reliving those discussions now, not with the club where it is.
  11. fwiw I opposed both Reid's and McCall's sackings and was proven completely right, so it's not that _all_ fans should be ignored, just the wrong ones.
  12. I mean I'm pished, seeing as my team absolutely destroyed four-time-Barcelona-beaters Dundee United live on national television, and there being other threads to troll while the replies roll in on the important ones. Why not continue to highlight unrepentant racism apologists elsewhere in the meantime?
  13. Incredible that Bairnardo, who 48 hours ago spent a full working day deflecting against confirmed racist abuse, has somehow lowered himself today, and yet apparently has a higher user rating than anyone else on P&B?
  14. If evidence was needed that Ayr could Actually Do This it was plain as daylight there. The first and fifth have by themselves at least doubled Shankland's asking price in the insane event of the club letting him go in January.
  15. It wasn't exactly a short-term decision, was it? he switched team names on here years ago.
  16. There's very little reason to assume that the situation would be different with any other Scottish club*, but there are certainly plenty of really fucking thick people (if not outright reactionaries) within the Falkirk support. That at least three people have registered new accounts solely to red-dot people pointing out the racism apologism on this thread is incredible.
  17. That third goal and Fasan doing a half-assed grenade pounce towards it when it's fully 15 yards from him is absolutely glorious.
  18. The next step up from a full-time playing squad has to be a full-time commercial operation you'd imagine, though given that it directly impacts on revenue you have to imagine this isn't presently sustainable.
  19. Grindlay looks like a bit of a beast these days, though not nearly as much as the post-apocalyptic monster they have at left back.
  20. Maybe you hadn't heard, but registered sex offenders generally aren't allowed to do that.
  21. It's certainly one of the best loan moves of recent years, even better from having been from one of the old firm, who don't give a f**k whether he ever makes their own first team because their strategy is just to acquire young talent like Pokemon and hold onto them forever.
  22. I genuinely don't understand how other clubs' academies are loss-makers. AUFA makes more money than the club does.
  23. One game left and they're top, but they could still finish unbeaten in second if they draw and Flora win their last fixtures. (their head-to-heads with 2nd and 3rd mean that a draw is good enough for the title with any other result in the other game.)
