  1. Amartey needs to be starting games from here on in. We need to find a way of getting him, Chalmers and Murphy into the same team. Best way to do that is probably a 4-2-3-1 with Murphy the centre of the 3. I don’t really see us doing that much business in January. We all know the fullback areas remain a major issue but given we’ve waited for two years for it to be addressed I won’t hold my breath that it’ll be sorted in January. We’ll definately need to bring in a centre half due to Musonda going to AFCON and his injury record. On the loan players I wouldn’t be against keeping them all, Dowds and Chalmers obviously the crucial ones however Jack Young was our best player last night and I really like him, I really like Senga aswell. Ahui isn’t great but is an improvement on McAllister. if we do keep Young and Senga I’d look at getting Paul Smith out on loan. Same with Bryden if we keep Dowds (think this has already pretty much been confirmed?)
  2. Anyone travelling from Frankfurt to Munich and Cologne? What train station should I be travelling from and into and what’s the likely cost for three persons.
  3. Even the police horses will be pissed off when they see Bullen’s tactics.
  4. Aw if Smith said it, it must be true. Raith Rovers haven’t brought in anyone who would or should have been out of our reach budget wise.
  5. Short term I would have been happy with a playoff spot this season. Realistically Dundee United were always going to be strong favourites to win the league although Raith Rovers ( a club almost identically in size and presumably budget to us) are running them close. Going into the season we had a decent enough spine signed up Albinson, Musonda, McGinty. Dempsey, Murdoch etc. The latter two getting injured early on obviously extremely misfortunate however these thing can happen in football. Our recruitment in the summer was nothing short of a shambles. it is clear to anyone who has ever watched football that our fullbacks are miles off this level. What do we do to address it? Sign a guy who may be even worse than them. He’s definitely not an improvement. Our refusal to sign experienced championship players is really coming back to cost us. Also refusing to offer Mullin a 3 year deal due to his age but then proceeding to offer McGeady and Murphy 2 years is mental. Bullen should have went after the Partick thistle and Falkirk debacles. Despite doing very well to get us 2nd those games will sadly be his lasting legacy when he finally goes. If we keep Bullen till the end of the season I don’t see a world where we manage to stay up. The sooner he’s away the better to allow someone January to try and fix the squad mess. On Mathie he’s just doing as much of an abject job as Bullen imo. We just seem to be jumping from disaster to disaster off the pitch and he just comes across as being completely tone deaf to how the majority of fans are feeling.
  6. In the short term I don’t see us having a complete overhaul but without a doubt it’s required at end of the season. Our signing policy needs to be ripped up and started again as it’s failed. Im aware I’m in the minority but I wouldn’t be against Mathie leaving. He was brought in to improve the footballing side of signs and he’s failed. we are probably in a four way relegation battle along with Morton, Arbroath and Queens Park. Could also see Airdrie getting dragged in. We need to be getting rid of Bullen asap and getting a new guy in before January to allow him the January window to try and get a few players in to get us over the line and then aim for promotion next year. It’s been said before but relegation for the club particularly when things are looking promising off the pitch would be a disaster. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to that as I don’t know where we’d go from that.
  7. Aye a do suspect McGeady and Murphy would be linked with it. I’d personally be avoiding both. Not the time for inexperienced risks imo. Although the list being linked with the QP job isn’t exactly inspiring.
  8. I’ve got my works Christmas Day out so will be missing this. Devastated. If we lose then it simply has to be the end for Bullen. I suspect Somerset could be a very toxic place come 4:45pm on Saturday.
  9. I have a horrible fear that when the club finally do empty Bullen then just take the easy option and give it to McGeady.
  10. Apathy has set in amongst a lot of our supporters which in a way is even worse that fans complaining. Bullen’s job seems to be as safe as houses as I got the impression that Mathie thought it was laughable that fans were asking questions about him at the recent Q and A. I genuinely don’t think Bullen will be sacked until the club are cut adrift in 9th or 10th which at that point it’ll probably be too late for a new guy to make any great difference. Whenever fans dare complain the clubs default position seems to be to stick up a bit of construction porn on social media. In that respect Smith is doing great and fair play to him for that as it looks great along with the hub however we are still getting so much wrong on and off the pitch. I’ve said it before and was shot down in flames but the fact we as a full time club don’t have a supporters bus running to away games is embarrasing, particularly with the #weareunited patter that’s constantly used.
  11. In fairness, what you wanting him to say? We’ve got no chance so don’t bother coming?
  12. I’d be delighted with either Neil McCann or Tam Courts. The rest of the list is a bit meh.
  13. Solid if unspectacular appointment. Don’t think Cove would have been relegated last season if they hadn’t sacked him. Only place he’s been a disaster was Dundee. As much as I think it’s time for Bullen to go I have no idea who would get to replace him.
  14. Two of the those games are away to Dundee United and away to Raith l where we have no chance of picking up points. Only chance we have is at home to Airdrie.
  15. What are peoples plans for the Scotland games? I know I have no chance of getting tickets so will probably travel to Munich and Cologne from Frankfurt where we’re based on day of game and watch it in Fanzone then travel back after game/next morning.
  16. I’m in danger of being whooshed however will we know the fixtures straight away after the draw tomorrow? I’ve got tickets to E3 v E4 in Munich which I presumed would be the pot 3 v pot 4 team in group E but apparently that’s not the case.
  17. Nah no chance Chalmers will be recalled. I doubt he even wants to return either.
  18. We do whether we choose to use them though is a different matter.
