  1. Arnie are my local junior team. I never even knew there was a game on or I would have fired down to watch it.

It was mentioned on here plenty of times, on both clubs' Twitter and Facebook feeds and websites, and also advertised in local shop windows.
  2. Plenty of goals in Rutherglens last 3 games, think I might go to their game at Cumbernauld on Monday. Sorry to be picky but the highlights from the Maybole game have got Cunningham scoring 2 of Mayboles goals but hes not shown in the team at the start of the highlights.

It's a minor error, Cameron is listed twice instead of Cunningham.

  3. I seem to surprise you a lot with Glencairn odds. Maybe I just keep remembering the games v Cumnock.

You don't surprise me every week, but I do comment when I think the odds are surprising. I just find this week's surprising to have Cumbernauld almost "triple your money" for a win, while we are odds on, when the two teams are fairly evenly matched in their league records this season so far. I realise home advantage has been the deciding factor in recent games between the teams, but it's not such a big factor to make the odds so different (in my opinion). But you know your business better than me. :thumsup2

  4. 8/13 R. Glencairn 16/5 Cumbernauld 11/4

I have to say I find that very very surprising. Both teams in the top half of the league table, only three points separating us, Cumbernauld could go above us with a win. I'm surprised you have us odds on, but I hope you're correct.

  5. Sorry Glensmad - wasn't at the last two games due to sickness. Glad the Glens had their camera at Barrfields however.

Ah right, that's a pity. Gerry moved down to the 18 yard line on the assumption that you'd be filming from your usual spot, but we didn't notice you weren't there till later in the game.

  6. Why do you always play some awful music over the video? You miss out all the natural sounds of a football game.

By the way that was some hit for the Lesmahagow 2nd goal.

I must be honest, I think the same, the music kinda spoils the good and hard work that is done in the filming and editing, I would far rather just watch the action with the crowd noise and the players' shouts.

  7. the pen was a dive the straight red looked harsh n maybe it shouldve been a yellow dymo got sent off for 2 fouls yet the glens number 3 didn't.

The straight red card was the easiest decision ever for the referee. The video doesn't show it from the best angle but I had a clear view of it and it was a simply atrocious tackle.

  8. That makes for painful viewing. Ref got the book out every 2nd foul.

It was appalling actually. He booked Del Esplin for persistent fouling, but it was his first foul of the game. He booked Gavin Ross for being fouled, and then sent him off for an imaginary handball. Meanwhile he missed the blatant offside and handball in the lead up to Darvel's goal, and disallowed a perfectly good Glencairn goal for offside. But we overcame it, and we move on.

  9. Glencairn goal handball, maybe. Watched a few times and I don't know what the decision should be.

Glencairn penalty, correct, keeper kicks out at attacker. Only one person to blame here.

Glencairn keeper, was inside. Almost nobody inside the stadium was in a position to know this but everyone still screams like madmen about something they don't actually know.

    2/3 wrong wasn't too bad.

Good assessment. I don't recall anybody claiming handball at the time of the goal. From watching the video I also can't decide whether it was handball or not, so what chance does the referee have with an instant decision ? Glencairn's first penalty was clear cut and crazy by the goalkeeper, clear violent conduct and should have been a red card. Yes Glencairn's goalkeeper was inside the area, but had he been outside the area a free kick and a yellow card was the right call as it wasn't a clear goal scoring opportunity, it was on the wide edge of the area not the front edge.

  10. Aye right mate, apart from the fact that the first Glencairn goal was handball, the Glencairn penalty never was, and the Glencairn keeper handled outside the box and stayed on, he was superb! I'm a neutral, clearly you need to surgically remove your biased glasses

The video proves the Glencairn goalkeeper did not handle the ball outside the box.

  11. looked a sore one for Asante at the red card

    hope he's OK

Maxy was fine, he was getting pelters for it in the changing room afterwards. :D

What about the penalty incident at the start of the second half though ? If you don't get a penalty for that then they may as well just not give any.

  12. This is the best picture I can find of the old Southcroft Park, home to Rutherglen Glencairn for 112 years.
