What decent player was/is going to come to us in our current state? Would I want to come to Clyde, if I have a plethora of other options? Good players want to play in good teams pushing for promotion, not languishing at the bottom. Pre season we had Balatoni come to us for a contract. A player who was surplus to requirement in the league below and the rest. We are floating in a precarious position. As I said yesterday how do we sell next season to our better players? Massive game Saturday and we must turn up.

We really are up shit creek aren’t we? No point vilifying the players. I have no doubt they are giving it their all and with the experience and success Danny and Al have; I am sure they are doing what they can on the training pitch. The state we find ourselves in is unacceptable, moreover our management duo are at the epicenter. My concern now is more for next season. If this shit show continues do we entrust Danny? How do we sell another season of struggle or worse still relegation to Goodie? We need a huge clear out of the playing squad.

Yesterday’s starting eleven didn’t fill me with much confidence. Which did include a welcome return for Ally Love. I think the point raised above about this side potentially struggling in League 2 is entirely plausible. We were always going to be up against it this season. Some delusional fans thought top 4 was realistic. Also the point about settling for ninth, while underwhelming maybe that is the level we are? The fans deserve better than what is on show.

Thankfully had a good bit of rest last night. Headed to bed in a rotten mood. How do I feel this morning about the debacle yesterday? Internally our level I believe is mid L2. I would agree with the fans above saying we haven’t progressed since promotion and I believe that is correct. Some of those players that started yesterday are not the standard required. Some of them worse still threw the towel in. However as Danny said post match, the buck stops with him. We are in a total mess, with no direction and relying solely on one player every week. There probably will be a positive result next week or the week after. But what use is turning up every 3rd game? Relying up until yesterday on East Fife being rotten is unacceptable. Meanwhile this is our level now while having the leagues best player. Yesterday will not be the only hammering we receive this year even calendar year. Is it time for a management change? I believe it is. Will it happen? Can’t see it but by changing it up I don’t think we have anything to lose.

Really looking forward to this game especially after a international break. Matches between the two usually always provide goals and I think Montrose will come here looking for the big 3 points. Clyde on the other hand seem to perform better at home and did take a good point at Montrose earlier this season. Didn’t think we offered much at Airdrie (no suprise), hopefully we show a marked improvement on Saturday. Clyde 2-2 Montrose
