  1. That becomes less valuable considering the members weren’t listened to at the very beginning.
  2. I’ve heard those rumours like everyone else and they very well could be true. I’ve also been told that Rod Petrie said from the outset he would not entertain conferences from the beginning. So was this ever really discussed prior to teams signing up? Or was it overlooked and muted as many clubs might not have signed up on those terms? So clubs in the old juniors have more say to the SFA than George Fraser has? That will be many people’s argument to it.
  3. As I say I’m not blaming George one bit. Apparently Rod Petrie has always stated that he wouldn’t entertain conferences for the first year. If this is true has all clubs overlooked this information in the excitement of it all, was it not taken seriously or was it totally mis sold to all clubs to get them to join en masse? As an outsider I think it’s reasonable to infer that George at least had an some knowledge that this was, at the very least, a possibility. If that was the case then you can understand Felix being upset with him as he is chairman of the LL.
  4. Would it not be fair to suggest as chairman of the Lowland league that George Fraser would be privy to knowing what the SFA, namely Rod Petrie, wanted from the outset? Was the 4 conferences ever an option from the beginning? Or has the so called clubs really changed the course of action here? How has this by passed George? Would he not have input on how leagues are formed below his league? By the way not suggesting he does just merely asking the question.
  5. I think the last sentence is the one we should be worrying about more than the conferences itself sadly. It could very well be the case. The regionalising scenario for financial reasons is a very good point and understandable but the argument could be a Lanarkshire club could be better off financially with a visit from Auchinleck than it would from Rutherglen for example. All hypothetical I know and there probably isn’t a correct answer. I’m sure clubs will be heard and their opinions considered.
  6. My next question was going to ask how they did it in the east? I’m not even sure it’s really the same scenario as the easy though as everyone has moved across here. Again I don’t know, personally if regionalising it would ultimately be a fair way either. Think the idea of sort of “free for all” draw makes it more appealing to everyone and not just the elite teams. If you have a hard conference then ultimately that could provide the best football next year and the most entertaining conference. It will give everyone a fair chance of qualifying for the WOS league. Think over the next season or 2 most teams will find their level but this way allows, so called smaller teams a one year free hit next season and a big chance to jump a few leagues in one season, especially if they are in a so called easier conference. Will be interesting to see where it goes for sure.
  7. Would this years junior standings be relevant when taking into account the conferences for the WOS? With the organisations being two separate entities and the addition of the 4 new teams, again coming from separate organisations, would it not be prevalent to have all teams on a level playing field and basically draw the conferences out of hat so to speak? Would this not make it fair and would not differentiate the likes of Auchinleck and Kilwinning to Saltcoats and Drumpchapel for instance who really all should be on a level playing field. Well at least at the beginning and formation of the league you would think!
  8. That’s a stonewall red card. How you can say it’s not is beyond me! I fully agree the lad hasn’t meant it and only has eyes on the ball but his foot is high and his studs make contact with the players face! If that’s not dangerous then I don’t know what is! Having seen the highlights Glencairn were by far the better team even with 10 men! Unfortunate not to see the game out!
  9. I appreciate your view but I’m almost certain if that was given against you then your opinion would certainly differ.
  10. That’s not a penalty not even close to being one. Black and white specs off I think.
  11. Best guy for the job by a country mile! Good luck to Geordie, Kev and big Raymond I’ve no doubt they will all do well at a great club [emoji1303]
  12. A great out the box appointment! Fantastic to see! Too many clubs go with the same faces that do the rounds all time! All the best [emoji1303]
  13. Told yous when you played Albion Rovers that yous were pish! Seems have came to fruition! I will accept all apologies [emoji23] cause yous might go down again 🤷🏻
  14. Can’t be that thick can I? Said the other night after your win that yous weren’t good enough against a very inexperienced Albion side! Come the Saturday and yous get beat by Ayr at home! Fans of your team on this very forum saying you will not get promoted, things need to change etc! Aye I sound thick! If you can’t see your not good enough then your in for a long season [emoji23]
  15. Yous might be better off signing ewes cause yous are jobby ming bong!
  16. Told yous the other night that yous should be worried after watching the Albion Rovers game! Yous then preceded to tell me that yous are winning games and yous happy! When in reality if yous want out the champions yous will need to strengthen by a considerable margin! Yous should be worried because yous are pish!
  17. Jim has every opportunity to improve the squad on last year since he has had a full pre season to build his squad. Something we never had the opportunity to do.
  18. Took the game in tonight as a neutral. I don’t know too much about the Partick squad and who was unavailable other than Erskine but I would have to say on that performance I would be very worried as a Partick fan. Very poor performance against an Albion Rovers side who’s players almost all came from junior football last year. I appreciate games like this are one offs and you do what you have to do to win them. Rovers looked very comfortable first half and the sheer lack of quality from Thistle would definitely be a worrying factor for me for the start of the league campaign if I was a fan.
  19. He will be at your game in a working capacity anyway 🤷🏻
  20. He may be at your games that’s why [emoji848]
  21. So your definition of a ringer only applies to this situation and no other? I’m sure most people would agree that a ringer refers to people who are not allowed to play under the circumstances which they play in ie player under someone else’s name for example. The players that played in the playoff teams didn’t do this! The be in the spirit of the game you adhere to the laws of the game. That was done in this situation. On your last point money almost always determines sporting success especially at this level. You would be very naive to think otherwise.
  22. Are non contracted players not allowed to play in the play offs?? I believe they are providing they haven’t played with a junior team that season. Playing a ringer means you broke the rules or cheated. I think it’s fair to say that Whitletts nor Maryhill broke the rules or cheated in the play off.
