  1. Just downloaded the eBook as the price has dropped from £12.49 to £5.49.
  2. Disappointed it took 6 hours for anybody to come up with a "beaver joke".
  3. Yeah but starlings would be in the eaves too. I don't think he really meant ON the roof.
  4. Not a bird but I thought some folks might be interested. Saw this exotic creature at Loch of the Lowes yesterday.
  5. Unless you can show that it's a danger to public health, it's illegal to destroy a nest with birds or eggs in it. Why not just leave the wee fuckers another couple of weeks. The shite's there already anyway Out of interest, can you see if it's just starlings or is it house martins or suchlike?
  6. Better get this back on topic quick. Here's a greater black-back with a tasty morsel
  7. Posted this blog about Cowden's Central Park on the League two forum, just spamming this topic too as there's a couple of older photos on it Moving The Goalposts
  8. Red kites are really agile in the air compared to buzzards. Can you compare the size to the craws then? A corbie has a wingspan of about 36" or 90cm. Buzzard is not that much bigger, say 48" or 120cm. Red Kite 60" or 150cm. Kestrel a bit smaller than a craw. In my experience it's usually buzzards getting noised up by craws.
  9. It's just progress by small steps though. These things are decided by negotiation between the two leagues and voted on by the members. The LL managed to get the one playoff place but they didn't have a very strong hand for bargaining at the time. Slightly different at the bottom of the LL, where the EOS and SOS champions play off for an automatic place. Again this was voted in at a LL meeting. I would say change is coming, especially if Cowden go down and the LL has more bargaining power. However if Cowden stay up and Shire go back up next year (maybe even replacing City) then we would be back to square one. For that reason I've been backing EK to go up all season, and Shire to stay down, even though there's no real affection for EK (sorry johnmc80 and Judge, but not sorry ekbluenose/Lauchlan ).
  10. Fat John, Skinny John's Barmy Army.
  11. Tbf, I don't think anybody was criticising your work... Quite interested in going along on Sat as a neutral/WW fan. Just have to keep checking your twitter to see if there are still tickets as they can't be reserved.
  12. Fair play to you for replying. FWIW I thought it was a clear penalty, no way could the player have anticipated that push, or touch of the fingernails as you put it, or similar, several times
  13. If this is an official EK production the commentary is so biased it's laughable. The stereotyping about the HL is unacceptable. Urquhart is a reasonably common Scottish name so poor show to mispronounce it right through the game. Urkart not Urkwart. Looked like a right decent game though with more to come.
  14. This guy was in the hospital, all linked up to drips and tubes. A woman was visiting the guy in the next bed and got talking to him, and asked what had happened to him. "Well", he says. It was because I was on this dog food diet. For 12 weeks all I had was a tin of dog food twice a day plus some dog biscuits if I felt hungry". "Oh right" she says. "So you're in here because the diet poisoned your system and ruined your health?" "No, I'm in here because I was licking my balls in the middle of the road and I got hit by a delivery van".
  15. Stayed over in Sneckie on Friday night and took these yesterday in an effort to get over the result of the game. Not Loch Garten but pretty nearby.
  16. I've been at Buckie this season, I'm sure it was £8 terracing, same as Rothes (but at least you get the fumes from four distilleries as a bonus). Also went to Strathspey where it was £8 access including their stand which is a bit of a half hearted effort. But HJ is right, supplements are the norm in the HL.
  17. Is that for the semi only? Thought £8 would do v Buckie but maybe £10 in the final if they get through.
  18. Here's a cheeky wee bullfinch I got last week:
  19. Yeah I'm sure there's a massive thread that was there quite recently.
  20. A day each for the salt mine and Auschwitz. For me the salt mines were about 3 hours too long and no escape Best just to get the train to Wieliczka which was only about 6 Zloty as far as I can remember. English spoken at the booking office but not on the train so our contact with the conductor was by hand gestures. For Auschwitz I'd get one of the many bus tours that are all about the same price. That way you get to Auschwitz and Birkenau which are about 3km apart. Some people go independently by train but I think it would be a lot of hassle. Quite a long day. Slow bus from the airport to town is about 40 mins but very cheap. Loads of bars and restaurants all over, tried to stick to the local ones but can't remember them. Trams are good. Went in February though, snow on the ground but a very dry cold compared to Scotland. Wouldn't fancy July tbh
  21. Your argument is wi Burnie Man & others then, leave Whitehill oot o this
