  1. It is crazy how history can be bought and sold. Either the history belongs to the new club or it doesn't. In this case, it doesn't.
  2. I see the BBC are useless to the end. We are playing Aberdeen away that day!
  3. Their "Live Reporting" thing is chronic They are live reporting on nothing happening!
  4. What is the point in that? Presumably a vote will be needed and it will still be a 11-1 required. How is this going to carry with Dundee or Dunfermline not voted in yet?
  5. Now we know his true intentions, I would agree with this. However, this is exactly what he should have been doing over the last few months. He should have been working night and day to ensure the fallout of Rangers falling out of the league was minimised. He should have been meeting sponsors and ensuring them that even with Rangers gone, the product is well worth investing in. Instead he did the total opposite and made it as easy as possible for sponsors to walk away with his constant apocalypse scenarios. I hear what people are saying about someone is telling him what to do. But I don't agree with that. At that level of seniority in an organisation, you are given objectives that you have to work towards and it is up to you how you achieve those objectives. The objective in this situation presumably to do the best for the SPL. He has made the wrong turn at every opportunity.
  6. These parts of the Clyde statement fill me with dread. As someone mentioned earlier it is like a bad horror movie where the monster keeps coming back to life. Can the SFA not see. The numerous votes have been counted and the results are in. It is over. Let's get on and start looking forward to the new season instead of talking about this pish non stop. It is becoming tedious now.
  7. That is exactly what I am now worried about. FIFA are looking to cut back on football associations and GB having four associations has long been frowned upon. Therefore this would be a suitable excuse to say that the Scottish FA is not fit to run anything and therefore goodbye Scotland as a national team.
  8. Don't know if it has been mentioned already, but 99% of supporters have pull-out clauses too. And if we pull out because Newco are parachuted in somewhere, then "corporate sponsors" won't be far behind.
  9. I liked the communication apart from this paragraph. I think it is missing the point a little bit. Granted it would have a detrimental effect on the club, but I don't think it would be a case of punishing the club you support if you never went to another match if Newco went straight into Div 1. It would be recognition that no matter what happens, some clubs are competing to different rules than other clubs. Therefore what is the point in spending all your hard earned cash in watching something where you are not sure if the outcome will not be changed at a later date. As I have posted on OTB, I couldn't wait to see County in the SPL. Couldn't wait to buy my new top, take in the revamped ground and take in the first fixture It has been a roller-coaster ride getting there from the Highland League to SPL. But the proposal for Newco to just bypass half the route and go straight into Div 1 is a total nonsense. If they are good enough, they will get promoted on their own merit. If they get parachuted into Div 1, I will not be back to another senior football match in Scotland. The impression I get is that the SPL and SFL clubs are getting threatened or bribed. Should they not now take the initiative and the goodwill of the majority of fans and all 40 of them come together and say, if Newco go into Div 1 or an SPL 2, then all 40 of us are quitting and forming our own league?
  10. Now that the Old Firm no longer exists, will we be able to get alcohol sold in our grounds again? Might be a wee extra revenue stream to help compensate for the billions we are about to lose with Sevco not being in the SPL.
  11. That is just ridiculous.... ....there is never anything decent on the telly
  12. I think that is a very important point. The First Division is one of the hardest leagues to get out of (presuming they keep the promotion rules the same). Given The Rangers won't have the caliber of players they do at the moment, it is not a foregone conclusion that they will get automatically promoted in one year.
  13. I am a County fan and I live in Bargeddie, but I have absolutely no idea what this is about! I haven't spoken to any market researchers. Plus I wouldn't say any of our players are crap. Is that not why we are champions
  14. Going to see the Smashing Pumpkins on Sunday. Hopefully be a good one.
