I'm running it as well. Got a slight pain in my heel, which I hope doesn't hinder me too much. Done the Glasgow Half Marathon 3 times. 1.37 in 1999, 2.05 in 2006 and 2.10 in 2007. So I'm hoping for a sub 2 hours time. Training so far indicates a sub 2 hour time, but it is all about the pace you set in the first few miles and it is sometimes hard to judge.

Would go for running shoes mate. They are designed more to lessen the impact on your knees, ankles etc.

I've done the Glasgow Half Marathon 3 times, my best time being 1:37 in 1999 (when I was young and fit!). Before this week I hadn't run in ages, but did a 3-miler on Sunday then a 5-miler on Wednesday. Trying to get in shape to run the Inverness Half Marathon in March. The last two Glasgow ones I have done were very crowded. Inverness will be a lot less busy

Murray's return of serve must be amongst the best in the world. The other guy was serving consistently at 135mph and Murray was regularly getting the ball back in play. Before today that guy's serve was only broken once this week and he had played Federer. Murray broke him three times! Great performance. If it is Nadal in the final, think Murray might get a set, but with the form Nadal is in at the moment he will have to play some awesome tennis to win.

Thought they were quite good The Pumpkins are one of my favourite bands, so I didn't mind paying the £30 to see them. Thought the songs they played were great and when Corgan plays songs like 1979 by himself accoustically, he is a legend. But all this pissing about with guitars halfway during songs does my head in after a while. Maybe it a sign of getting old The SECC are thieving b******* as well for charging £4.50 for a car parking space.
