  1. That's good to hear. Hopefully we'll bounce back next Saturday then show we've learned some lessons when we play The Rangers.
  2. Given the usual pattern of our season building up a large cushion over the bottom teams is essential!
  3. I hope he keeps it up. Obviously it makes not a bit of difference to the outcome of a game but it looks much more professional.
  4. It is very early days but our new signings look like they are starting to find their feet now. Cuthbert looks like an excellent goalkeeper, Conroy is our top scorer, Stewart looks very lively, and Nade is tough to stop when he's on his game. Still some question marks over Scott, Perry and McKeown but the latter two have looked more comfortable in the two league games.
  5. I like the way the board blame Nixon and their auditors for the lack of corporate governance. Are they seriously saying they have only recently implemented controls like countersigning cheques?
  6. I see someone named Billy Vidler has apparently signed for East Stirling after leaving us. I've never heard of him.
  7. Interesting to see Huddersfield have parted company with Mark Robins. Two wins in thirteen to finish last season then a 4-0 home defeat yesterday to start the new season. Pretty comparable position to us if we had lost yesterday.
  8. A big, and unexpected, step in the right direction. There needs to be a few more days like this before Murray wins over the doubters though. It's good to feel some optimism ahead of next week though.
  9. On the positive side, we've made it into the New York Times!
  10. I don't think the Ayr and Airdrie defeats were the first two games of the season that year. Plus we had come off the back of a run at the title the previous year not 3 league wins in the second half of a season.
  11. Maybe if we get some central defenders fit we can play him as a wing back and he'll do better. He might come good but I'm really struggling to think of the last time one of our signings started poorly and turned out to be a good player for us.
  12. I hope to god we're not paying him (or any of our squad) anything like that. If these guys are picking up £35k a year for being pretty much the worst full time exponents of their profession in the country there is something far wrong.
  13. The guy is useless. He can't retain possession and has zero positional sense. We would've been better off with Donaldson at left back and I wasn't his biggest fan.
  14. I really didn't think they were that much better than last year. I think its more a case of us regressing rather than them progressing much.
  15. I think the same. If we come through these games with anything less than 4 points I don't see how he can survive. I really hope Murray can prove me and all the other doubters wrong.
  16. We don't deserve a cut after that performance. Maybe they should change the rules to spice up cup games. Winner takes the gate money....
  17. A matter of urgency for Murray should be finding an alternative to McKeown at left back. The guy is completely out of his depth. He looks like a hobo who has mistakenly stumbled his way onto a football pitch.
  18. The only way to get fans in is to put a team out on the pitch that makes people want to come and see us. After last night there are season ticket holders saying they won't be attending because of the way things are going. These 'people behind the scenes' can do what they want but if the paying customer is subjected to 90 minutes of lazy long balls up to Nade's head and general ineptitude and disorganisation then they won't be rushing back. The vast majority of, if not all, Rovers fans will be right behind the team on Saturday but if the team don't produce the goods they'll have to put up with some booing at half time and full time.
  19. Murray in the Courier: we had a lot of chances and our goalkeeper didn't have any to make any outstanding saves. We lost to a great goal. What he should've said: we were second best all night and allowed Dunfermline far too much time on the ball. The goal was a great strike but we got what we deserved. Only Cuthbert has come out of the game with any credit. That performance wasn't good enough and I've let the players know that in no uncertain terms.
  20. Cardle was a big part of our form in the second half of last season.
  21. The board must be chuffed they have the season ticket money in the bag because people aren't going to pay to watch that crap. I want the season to be over already.
  22. First and foremost, how much clichéd drivel can you squeeze into one interview Grant?
  23. Mind you, considering their home gate prices their fans might be lapping up the bargain prices available for away games.
