There are no parallels between SMG/Vlad and the Gordons/BKG apart from at an extremely superficial level. He has explained his rationale and aims for investing a small amount into the club. Not sure what you’re expecting Hibs fans to dissent about.

I’m just telling you what he said. He said it’s a strategic partnership to get Hibs into Europe to benefit his other clubs. He also mentioned “lack of immigration issues” and seems to have a genuine interest in developing sports teams.

He has stated he wants Bournemouth in Europe so it makes perfect sense if you are trying to develop talent for Hibs to also play in Europe.

I'm excited for the obvious benefits having access to barclays level expertise in things like sports science, scouting and coaching. You see players like McGinn leave Scotland and they turn from skinny wee lads to robots engineered to play football. Anyone doing calculations to work out how much Foley could potentially make financially is missing the point. It's a strategic investment in a club that could relatively cheaply achieve regular european football, which is beneficial for both Hibs and his other clubs. Hibs aren't desperate for investment at some existential level, he is only buying 25%. The Gordons could have easily sold the club entirely to BKG but they didn't so they clearly want to retain control.
