I'm going to shoot with Alex Cleland. Cutting his Teeth with Saint Johnstone under 20s but has decent contacts and is believed to be more of a man manager. That or giving Young a shot. That's my 2

Cleland will apply again.
I'd be happy with this

What about maybe outwith Scottish football

You can never guarantee that. Any manager has a right to change jobs if they feel it's better for them and their career or family.
Rather like any other employee in any other line of work.
I don't think a football managers contract will be exactly like our everyday contract. There will be a lot more legalities and it also has to be relevant to the position too.

A bbc journalist has said on twitter that as McKinnon has resigned as he understands you guys will get no compensation!
Well if that's how it goes if he is refused a right to cancel his contract he is in breach and liable for the remainder just like any contract. Or he will have to hand in a specific notice period and if I was the board I'd make him work for every penny f**k him!! Have him clean the loos the p***k

Right, glad that's been cleared up. £40k to get ourselves a new manager, then.
Where did you hear 40k. I heard 42.5 from my mate but it was stated on the news 30k

If you check the official site they have re worded the statement to he has left with immediate effect

I'm in 2 minds. 1 I understand from a working point of view he is moving to a job that will pay more and give him more exposure and he also supports this team. But on the flip side he had us buying into his philosophy and I feel a little betrayed too. He has jumped ship so quickly into thisbuilding process without a thought for the fans and players alike. But hey that's football I suppose. I look forward to his statement

Bring the stovies back!
How do they make their stovies? I miss them being down south but do have them now and then.

I'm all for Young or even McCall, what about a non league English manager like Chris Todd. I have a sneaky suspicion that they might take a shot a Barry Ferguson though.

Eric Drysdale on fantalk spouting pish. I have a lot of respect for him but he is talking bullocks. Saying that all they spoke about midweek we how well he was doing and that no focus we lost before the match etc...I call bullshit

How much have you manky c***s done in terms of contracts? Many players with contracts ending/expecting to leave?

Another guy who I think would do well in managing Raith would be Stephen Macinespie. He is interested last season I know that. We don't they invite him back over the water for an interview

Does anyone know who holds the contacts with the English clubs and spl clubs? I ask this as if you remember before Ray signed Malpas was forging relations down south
