I think there is more to this story but Raith have to come out and explain their position or it could really backfire on them. It might also hinder any chance of making new signings in the future too.

I watched about 4 minutes of that video and he scored 1 goal which was a tap in from about 3 yards out. The rest of it was just him running and collecting the ball or crossing it to absolutely no one. He might be brilliant, but given that he's 29 and playing for Edinburgh City (with all due respect) I'd say any promise he's shown in his younger years hasn't really materialised.
If i remember rightly a few years back airdrie signed a striker in his late 20s early 30s from amature sat football ( cant remember his name for the life of me ) He turned out to be a gem for them.
The reason he plays for Edin city was that he loves the city here and came over for medical reasons, He was close to signing with Hearts a couple years back and it just snowballed from there..

Watching the You tube clip and i personally think he reminds me of Tony Rougier with his skill and strength, Defo worth a trial. His delivery wasnt that bad either tbh, It was more the players around him unable to connact to the final pass.
On another note are we any further forward with the identity of the English based Midfielder?

Righty gotta say the squad is shaping up a bit and i have every confidence in Mglynn's signings. Indeed i don't think Baird will be the answer to our goalscoring problems however i like the idea of our manager using his contacts to bring in loanees. It saves the club money and also wih the state our game is in it stops us paying out large amounts of wages over a season for an injured player which Raith cannot afford to shell out. Also using loanees we have chance to steady the boat and build up our squad piece by piece rather than racing into signing to fill gaps like a lot of other teams. We are going only 1 direction in my eyes and thats forward.
