Hare-Reid is leaving? It feels like he's never been given a chance, despite being highly thought of for a while.

I'm fine with the changes to the rest of the team - as something new was needed.

First part is certainly true. I imagine aspects like today and denying a loan move are behind the reason for leaving.

It’s obvious the guy can’t win , comments all week  from fans , make changes , not good enough , need to give other a chance , he does  it , and I see fans on other sites saying there not the right changes , I think he is changing style today so needs the players to suit that

He can win by making sensible team selections tbh. Not repeating previous failures like Zanatta up front.

He has played a season and a half at this level, 6 months on loan to Alloa and then last season playing for relegated Thistle in a reduced season.

This season, he hasn't looked interested, when he comes off the bench he looks like he has already played 90 minutes. He will not get an extension at Ayr based on what he has done so far and any full time clubs would be absolute mugs to sign him next year based on either his lack of ability or his unwillingness to show it for Ayr.

He’s looked decent the few times he’s came on out on the left to be fair. I can’t remember him getting any longer than twenty minutes though. Another Kerr isn’t getting anything like the best out of.

Well you are a diamond because its the norm in Glasgow.

I think the below covers it quite well, it’s hard to appreciate the amount of responsibility people have from the outside. I work in a more intensive role, so have a lower case load and wouldn’t think about not attending if one of my YP was in crisis. Generally we’ll cover evenings and weekends if any YP we aren’t working with are in crisis. It’s not really appropriate for the police to be attending to a YP in crisis when someone that knows them should be. (Couldn’t tell you about the adult side of things though) Some of the social workers can have up to sixty cases, which is fucking obscene and makes it impossible to deal with everything. Same as every profession, you’ll get shite workers but generally I couldn’t envisage very many who would just pass things on to the police and tbh I think they would get shit if they did.

It can be astounding the strong opinions some on here have on here about professions whose reponsibilities, duties and pressures they have no fúcking clue about. My SiL is a Social Worker in Dundee - how she does that given the time taken to get to a call can leave little time to address any issues before having to leave for the next scheduled visit. She's shocked me with some of the cases she's had to leave to attend another call, knowing no-one else will be able to help before her next (10-15 minutes face-time max) visit. Not for a gold pig could I do what she does.

When the Louisa Jordan was binning 650 doses a day and some of the other centres binning 50-90 doses a day there existed a fantastic opportunity to have police officers or fire fighters use up end of day spares that were refused/no attendance, but the NHS decided at some kind of strategic level to throw all of these doses out and specifically that they should not be offered to emergency services. There are some examples of end of day use but they are very much the minority. The good thing about using the end of day approach is that you pretty much guarantee its all operational police officers/firefighters getting vaccinated as its after 5pm and the office wallas have gone home.

The big concern ive heard from Police officers is the risk that they go from a call say at a party with people fighting with them to a call at an old dears house. They are essentially a massive risk as super spreaders. Many nursing homes or specialist care homes (brain injury places etc) phone police (in my opinion absolutely irresponsibly) when residents act out. That coupled with the fact they are being asked to now fill in for NHS service provision cuts (particularly with cpns and social workers (who have been vaccinated) refusing to go to many people in crisis) means that in one example from one team of police officers them all spending an average of 5-8hrs a week waiting within hospitals. The argument from the NHS being people working in clinical environments should be protected, yet they fail to protect the people who they call when a patient goes missing, gets aggressive, or any one of the scenarios that results in police attending clinical environments.

Its not me me me, its reasonable that they should expect to be vaccinated, occupationally they have to engage with the most vulnerable people, deal with sudden deaths in the community, go into high risk areas (when ambulance and others refuse), yes there is risk from people working in shops etc and sadly they do get abuse and in some cases assaulted, but they are allowed to withdraw, whereas police officers have to go ‘hands on’ (yes i get people will have lots of examples of the police being the baddies ....). But yes we expect police officers to do these things and then they go home to their families, i know several who have had to move out the family house because there are vulnerable kids, parents or partners who would be at risk yet these people are still going to work at significant personal sacrifice. The fact that the NHS has vaccinated people who work a saturday at specsavers with no clinical training or responsibilities, security staff at the louisa jordan who work in control rooms and dont see the public, NHS accountants who are not public facing and work from home) coast guard and mountain rescue (btw when either of these are called out guess who coordinates...?) and social workers who work from home and send police out when they dont want to go, then I think its certainly fair that questions get asked.

Social workers aren’t working from home, unless clinically vulnerable.

I don’t particularly think there is any reason I should get vaccinated before Police etc, but there is obviously a crossover with the NHS in terms of the health and social care partnership and social workers working directly with vulnerable adults and children. I also have never refused to visit anyone in crisis, and I don’t know of any colleagues that have either. I’m sure it does happen though - particularly when being dealt with by a stretched out of hours service. It’s certainly not the norm though.

Why don’t you count the Alloa goals ? Every other team would count them , Kerr has not mentioned anywhere I have seen that we are in this position because of postponed games so can’t see him buying into that , 4 points off a promotion play off and going by posts in here we are the worst team in the league , not playing well certainly but neither are most other teams it’s a poor poor league , not sticking up for Kerr here as it’s not good enough , just don’t think we are beyond repair , it must start on Saturday , to me it’s a must win game to start getting confidence back into players and fans

Of course we aren’t beyond repair, let’s hope come Saturday we see a reaction. That will tell us a lot! I’m not confident that will happen, hence the negativity on here but we live in hope.

Yes, the team 4 points and 5 places above us have played two games more.

Games in hand become pretty irrelevant when you don’t tend to win games. One win in a third of the season tends to point towards there being an issue. Arbroath in particular are on a decent run at the moment too.

Some of the stuff on here is just WAYYYYYY over the top, I mean anyone would think we were the pre season league favourites and that we've now found ourselves completely cast adrift at the bottom and being outclassed and outplayed in every single game, but of course the reality is somewhat different.

All the stuff being aimed at Kerr could be aimed at virtually every other Manager in the league and that includes Neilson. Basically one look at the league table tells you that the teams are all much of a muchness outwith Hearts who are probably still under performing relative to their budget and then Dundee who are probably doing worst of all.

I do know that we're not playing well and I do know that we have problems however there really is a serious over reaction to our current league position.

All the stuff about McCall "the messiah" is also rather amusing, as Yes, we did play some great stuff but we also played some horrific stuff and funnily enough it was generally between December and March, however people seem to be omitting that from the selective wonderful memories.

A serious over reaction to us being in the relegation places - seriously?

No, they won't be opening up indoor hospitality at all until mid May.

That’s the point, it’ll be two weeks later but won’t include arbitrary restrictions like no alcohol and closed for six.

We don’t have a clue at what point we will be allowed out beyond six.

  10. Do people remember that tier three was utter shite?

Restaurants open until six with no alcohol whatsoever. England won’t be opening up with this pointless move that’s for sure.

If it is to be a new tier three, then details of what that involves should be published today...

People who believe a word the tories say after they have literally lied their way through this pandemic while lining the pockets of their billionaire pals must be morons/tories.

I’d be more than willing happy to see a projected end to restrictions from someone without the track record of Bojo. The man who claimed the Tories did everything they could while shaking hands with hospitalised Covid patients. Or claimed we’d be over the worst of it after 12 weeks.

Or we could utilise independent thought and look at this particular plan as being mainly quite cautious and realistic.

Holiday companies and flights up 600%. Really hope that the dates go ahead as planned. I expect pubs and cafes will order stock in anticipation for opening and to not be left behind others.

If another lockdown happens then most of these businesses will just say f**k it and do something else. This smacks of Christmas where people were allowed to spend when there was a danger of further restrictions.

There is literally no comparison whatsoever to Christmas.

It will be summer and the majority of the country will be vaccinated by the time there is any major restriction lifting.

So from the Bozo briefing. Schools are safe and transmission amongst pupils is minimal. Teachers are no more at risk than any other profession. Imagine if the likes of Swinney came away with stuff like that.....

There could well be an ongoing need for masks and SD every winter so measures in the bin by June is already err.... in the bin and absolutely no mention of a return to work despite being asked specifically twice..the work from home edict remains beyond his June nirvana !

As always the devil is in the detail. It's a good move to accept we need to live with it and ZC isn't feasible but behind the big populist headlines there were plenty glaring contradictions. There were even still references to new normal !

Swinney has literally explicitly stated most, if not all of that.
