  1. Hanley saved us on a fair few occasions too. Wgs knows hes not the finished article yet, but at 22, he will get better and has years ahead of him. I'd much rather we stuck with him than chopped and changed, throwing a few caps to 30 year old journeymen defenders.
  2. Let's not forget Hanley made a fair few clinical interceptions and blocks too. Clean sheet + win. Hanley and martin continue to impress overall
  3. Attack minded but held on to possession brilliantly too. Star in the making
  4. Wrong on all counts. 1 chance, an absolute sitter, missed.Apart from that, I hardly saw him near the ball, let alone on it apart from one decent hold up.
  5. Its like ronaldo, neymar and messi had a man sandwich...and Robertson was the result
  6. Hope we get past this 'he's only worth the risk if we are playing at home' pap. The boy ran the show on the left tonight. The place should be nailed on as his from now on.
  7. Neill McCann looks well chuffed. Bet he got his Nat king off the sky sports burd from the Poland game.
  8. Yup, he's been bang average since stepping off the Celtic gravy train
  9. Means we can sit back and enjoy the england game now
  10. Excellent result Superb interplay all over the park. Robertson can play at any level he wants to. Only problem are a for us is our 'strikers'. The two guys who had a go up there tonight seemed lost. Chris martin was awful.
  11. Agreed, Naismith up and Russell out wide with Maloney in behind
  12. I'd be tempted to push Naismith up, put Maloney in the number 10 slot and bring Russell on wide right
  13. First half verdict: all have been decent except: Robertson is pure class & Fletcher has been poor, not showing enough awareness or sharpness.
  14. Heard a few folk saying that. Technically the game vs Holland at Hampden in the Burley era was bigger (as we could have bagged a playoff if we'd won), but there was a sense of 'even if we somehow win this one, we're still miles from being a decent side' - for me anyway. This side seems to be on the cusp of breaking through and being truly decent, and tonight's game is a real litmus test of that. And, of course, the group could tilt on this result. Got to be three points tonight.
