I think we are a lot further on than the likes of BOD, Buckie & Brora however with the lack of GPs in the North East it is a real issue for us. The SPFL clubs that don't meet the criteria have all been warned but I'm unsure if they have to be qualified for next season.

Seemingly the SPFL clubs  are being given time to sort it out.  The Highland clubs aren't .

No word of the Lowland clubs in all this . ..........Mind you they are giving the Colts a temporary home until the SPFL get their way on this new 6 colt conference league shite.

Once they get the Highland league out of the equation  by imposing new licence criteria then it's all systems go for the conference.

    Corrupt to the core.

    Just my opinion of course.

Seems a weird thing to lie about.

Was just about to say that.

We had a game called off because of frost which had been in the ground for over a week (possibly longer).  The forecasts are good these days but not as accurate as predicting how long the frost is going to stay in the ground.

Also covers need to be put down before the frost gets in the ground . To leave them on a park for over a week is just creating more problems.

Venue remains unconfirmed for this midweek's tie AFAICS.

Scurrilous rumours on FN claim Forres, Huntly, Lossiemouth and/or Turriff were asked to host but declined.

Surely now the sensible decision should be that Buckie play the rest of their home games at their opponents like Fort William had to .

That was poor today, really need to improve in front of goal and again missed our leading goalscorer. If we persist on trying to play fast attacking football on the deck have to get a pitch fit for purpose too many times the ball took a funny bobble.Richardson needs to stop falling over so much.Strachan at left back looked lost.Louden and Richardson aren’t a good partnership up front and again not much dig in midfield.Too many passes across the pitch reminded me of the Kirk era.

Is that the same Richardson who was by far and away the best player on the park yesterday and was unanimously chosen as MOM ?

Think you will find that Wright is a good signing if he has got over his illness. He was unlucky with that at Elgin and i think he would have been a big player for us if he had been fit.

We are all aware of the kind of player he is. ............   All apart from the troll who seems to live in his own wee perverted fantasy world.

He will be a great addition . We have no doubts about it.

Gavin Price has obviously done his homework on how we didn't quite get over the line last season and seems determined to try and add the experience to the squad to help achieve it this time .

Can't believe Buckie are being written off here when they could go top if they win games in hand.  Even if they drop a few points they'll be very close to Brechin

Buckie still have to play us twice. Whoever wins them wins the league IMO

Put on the transfer list not in the squad last game says it all ,he’s gone.He is crap but was experienced which we lack.

Getting in 4 attacking players is fine IF you can play good attacking football I’ve yet to see it YET

Next silly comment from you please

So it's ok to play crap experienced players ?

You don't half talk some shite.

I have not been to Brechin since they have become an HL club, so therefore they have not come into my thinking. My last visit was a 3-3 draw the season we won the Second Division. Those were the days.

You will have to give it another visit. The majority seem to enjoy it but there are a few from Inverness who seem to think we are entitled too...........strangely only  because there are stewards at our home games . 🤣

Best ground in the Highland League for matchday experience, IMO. Pitch is always immaculate. Pie in a roll is exceptional. What’s not to like!

I am guessing you've never been to Brechin.

    The soup is legendary.

What a joke for the new establishment, why did they not call for an early pitch inspection, pitch looked very boggy and with all the recent rain our magnificent new drainage system fails again.Oh well long journey home now.

So basically you are just making things up as usual.

If it was about sunny days and evenings of football, the Highland League could consider kicking off their season a week or two earlier, and using more midweeks in August and September rather than scheduling their cup competitions at that stage of the season. Prioritise the league to begin with and play the cups in the latter part of the season.

The Lowland League, for all its many faults, are well past the halfway mark in their season, with the majority of clubs have played 20 or more games. They've played 36 games more in total, which works out as 4 full extra matchdays.

That is a very sensible suggestion. However the HL seem to value their cup competitions more than the league so that would be very difficult to convince them.

  14. Buckie did the same a couple of weeks ago when they thought their pitch might be playable. With the rain forecast later in the day it was possibly given every chance .

Clubs have been told to try their best to get the games played . Maybe the refs didn't get that memo. Who knows

The clubs in tier 5 and 6 can set up their league and 14 different diddy cups fixture list in any way they wish to maximise 'a few sunny days and evenings' of football. They just have to conclude their league campaign in time to contest a play-off in line with the SPFL, who play two extra league games as it is.

Not that it means a whole lot, as you never know how players will do when they reach senior football, but yeah hes very highly rated within the youth game.

Played a friendly for us at 15, played as our u18s won the Scotland Cup, went full time this Summer and trains with the senior squad, and has been in the Scotland u16 squad.

Id expect its just a cheap loan to help you out depth wise, while giving him experience of being close to senior football he wont get with us (being part of the dressing room on matchdays etc.) as im not sure he'll be physically ready to actually play regularly or that.

Be interesting to see if a link up appears now between the clubs more regularly now. From a Saints perspective we have a whole raft of youngsters who look unreal potential wise but need game time, but i highly doubt Brechin fans want to see too much of that happening.

I heard that young guy May is pretty good.  Would be great if we could get him till end of season to help us back into the SPFL.
